  1. @Joseph Maynor Seems like a pretty accurate description of the journey. At least for the stages I've reached.
  2. @Samuel Garcia Yes it is here now. There is only now so how could it be in any other way? The brain has nothing to do with truth. It can't grasp the truth but it tries to figure it all out. When you start to see the way it does it's thing is the day you start to see through the illusion of the mind cause the mind is everywhere but here now. It thinks of the past and the future and even on the now. It distorts what is into that which it isn't. So conditioning the mind to get enlightened won't work. Transcend it.
  3. @Brimstone I've walked into that trap many times! But now I know better. I don't exist.
  4. @Joseph Maynor No more doubts about myself or the world. Everything is crystal clear, even the confusion.
  5. @Cesar Alba The egoic drive of never being satisfied and always being unhappy with what it had was great for survival. When we lived out of scarcity it makes sense that the one accumulating more stuff had a better chance to survive. But now times have changed. We live in a world of abundance so it makes no sense to live in that old paradigm. We can see that the same egoic drive has caused major concerns both from an individual and worldly perspective.
  6. @electroBeam The boring answer: Structure and routines in your day to day life. Each day eat, sleep and wake up at the same times. Daily exercise. No drugs or alcohol.
  7. Not during sleep. Yes in the beginning it's constantly like that. You forget the practice. You slip into your old habits again and again. Just reapply the practice whenever you become conscious. After a while it will become second nature to you.
  8. @zunnyman as pleasant as these experiences can be they are not important. They come and go and what you might be experiencing now is resistance to those experiences being gone or not as strong as you would like them to be. Do you have any practice you use when not sitting and meditating? It helps carrying over the meditative state from formal practice to real life. I used to practice surrender 24/7 pretty much.
  9. Yes it can be powerful depending on what type of answer you get. Just a logic conclusion about it reality is not as powerful as a full blown realization. The most powerful answer I got contemplating about reality was a deep existential fear of not existing. Which is perfect. You can't really ask for a better outcome.
  10. Just submerge yourself in that. Something to read. Something to watch out for.
  11. It makes sense based on that. We have to base it on our direct experience what else can we base it on. Why don't you think you are a two-headed mutant riding through space on a giant mushroom? It doesn't really match your direct experience. Right? If you identify with the body/mind it makes perfect sense to make those conclusions you've made. It has nothing to do about beliefs or thinking. It is beyond mind, thoughts and perceptions but don't take my word for it. Find that out for yourself if you truly want to know. Consciousness is beyond mind. How am I sure? I can't tell you how. But after realizing it's like being the body/mind is about as likely as being a two-headed mutant riding through space on a giant mushroom. Of course I'm exaggerating (a little)!
  12. @john5170 Before the realization I was never really into meditation. It just wasn't my thing. What I did do was going for long walks in the woods. That was my meditation. It was not something I had to force myself to do, it was totally effortless. That is still something I enjoy. What is meditation for someone might not be for someone else. It can be anything from long walks to doing the dishes, it might even be meditating . Maybe playing video games or playing an instrument. It is something that feels really natural to do. Effortless being. Find that and practice it daily.
  13. @AlldayLoop How many percent of the people in the world are actually trying to become enlighted? One percent or less? Let's say 1%. So it's one in a hundred chance to get enlightened. Besides that I think it's like the teacher of Adyashanti put it. "Only the phonies don't get enlightened" Meaning if you really are into sprituality for the truth and not for everything else then you'll find truth.
  14. @egoless Maybe this video will give you some insight into the enlightenment endgame.
  15. @Nadosa Everything you have told us are perfectly normal on the path. These realizations have caused all kinds of unconscious stuff to emerge which is great. It might not feel great. You might even feel like shit but no worries it will get better, it always does. You might not feel like meditating or being present. Let yourself do whatever you feel like doing. Eventually you'll see that you are just delaying the inevitable.
  16. @Joseph Maynor Thank you. Reminds me of cult of luna.
  17. You say your brain/body. Who/what is that which has a brain/body. By saying that you are implying that you are separate from your body/mind right? If you were to shoot yourself in the head the body/mind would stop working but would you cease to exist? Let's conclude that we don't know what's going to happen after death for now. You can't kill yourself. But you can't take my word for it so that doesn't help you does it? Again what is it that has a brain/body? Yes there is an intimate relationship with the brain/body but is that what you truly are? If you can see the brain/body then that can't ultimately be you can it? Because what is it that sees the brain/body then? It's not that the perceptions doesn't exist it is just not what you truly are. The illusion is the identification with the body-mind not the body-mind itself. You can answer these questions yourself by looking into your own experience. What is that me that has an awareness? Does it exist? Search for that me. That is the first step.
  18. Glad to hear that. I would start there and see where it takes you. It certainly changed things for me to surrender to every experience and it can be applied everywhere.
  19. @Max_V So your mood is dependent of the outcomes of life. Perfectly normal wouldn't you say? It's fine to be depressed, happy, sad or whatever mood your in. The key though is to let yourself be in that state. What is it that is resisting the depression? Whichever state you are experiencing right now, that is the perfect state. What you really are is already here and it is unconditionally loving to every experience. What is it that becomes unsettled by "bad" experiences.
  20. Yes that is the falling away of personal will and it can be quite a challenge. I have no good advice for you except just let it happen. Don't let your life fall apart too much. Some things just need to be done whether the desire to do them is there or not. Just do it!
  21. @Pure Imagination If your biggest drive is to know truth finding it is inevitable. Most does not however. They value comfort and security more so they can't find it. Any discomfort experienced will make them crawl back to their secure box.
  22. @Alexo45 My guess is that everyone here is having the same problem. Telling people they are in the matrix is like banging your head against a brick wall. It can only give you a headache. That is the only logical outcome. I know, sometimes you just want to share your experiences. I have done that too but people will just never understand. All it does is risking your relationship with that person. Is it really worth it? What you can do is share with us here. We'll be glad to hear about your progress and awesome experiences.
  23. @Nadosa if possible do several 20 minutes meditation sessions through out the day. When you start feeling like you are going unconscious do some meditation to ground yourself. It might be hard to do depending on work etc. Look into some mindfulness exercises that can be done at any time.
