  1. https://www.politicalcompass.org/ I think there might be a corelation between a human being's consciousness development and his/her political views. The compass model is what I've used to capture the spectrum of political views & Spiral Dynamics is a concept I'm familiar with, from a point of view of understanding evolutionary psychology. So I was thinking about the 2 models to see if there's a corelation. Curious to know what you guys think. Note : The link above is for the website that outlines that the political compass and the screenshot is randomly picked image from the internet.
  2. @legendary If the human species survives on earth till 2100, the schools will be teaching history lessons on Senator Bernie Sanders that includes all these tweets and videos we're sharing. He's going to be regarded as a worldwide hero, a bit more evolved with time, than national heroes of the past.
  3. @Serotoninluv SD stage yellow as described in the Clare Graves book suggests that when a perspective is developed such that it understands all other perspectives and thinks of the collective good, it is solid yellow. My argument is that Joe Biden embodies Stage Yellow, and so did Obama. The reason is simple. I think Biden appeals to all the stages in SD in the following way: Green - Bernie would have been the best choice but I'm okay to settle with Biden because he's still better than Trump Orange - No doubt these people loved Obama and they will love Biden Blue - Biden is a decent man & Trump is not Similarly I think Biden understands that the demographic spread of these SD attributes across the country and he can appeal to all of those in an effort to beat Trump. I am predicting that he will soon do something to ensure the entire solid green Bernie supporter base starts supporting him. And as far as the actual evolution of the entire society is concerned, the Dems are right in embracing stage orange policies until 'everyone' reaches there and maybe in the next 8 years, America would be ready for Bernie's ideas. The reason I think this is stage yellow politics is because of the application of systemic understanding to the problem of how to unite & grow colletively, given the constraints. Now one might argue that corruption is a stage orange value that needs to go, but maybe Stage Yellow understands that it is inherent in societies, so be it, and treat that as a constraint or even make use of it for the greater good?
  4. @DLH Bringing this up way too late I guess but you're posts intrigued me. Where do you think Joe Biden stands on the map of consciousness given that he's likely going to be the other option to the evergreen Bernie ?
  5. Orange or Yellow ? Also, how about Obama ?
  6. This is such a profound and extremely insightful comment, I am shocked.
  7. @DLH This last post has sent me on a mind bending trip. The concern I have with your theory is that you cannot wait for these people to come to that realization, while others stand watching things fall apart. That forces me to think it's not 4 years early, but now has to be the time.
  8. But wouldn't you want to chose a side in this case Leo ? On one hand you have a person that can help raise the consciousness of the world up by a few notches, and on the other hand you have someone who is well... I think it's okay for you to have a strong opinion on this.
  9. @Elham Thank you so much for sharing and for expressing your views. It's a very interesting perspective on the things that happened. I think nationalism is the root cause here. If only we had 1 global government and the world had no borders.
  10. @Bill W I've been to meetings in 3 countries & attended a lot of meetings online which had participants from all over, because I'm an introvert. With all due respect, AA is the reason I'm sober right now & alive. I would have never joined this forum if it were not for AA. I would have never set forth on this quest for understanding spirituality without AA. Quite clearly, God has brought what I call my mind & body (again, it's probably an illusion anyway) where it is today because of AA. So I would say that from where I am right now, which is a pretty low level of consciousness, it feels like that to me. Specifically when I say stage blue SD, the values I'm talking about are authoritarian and religious. I believe that AA is designed to propel you to the spiritual awakening & that it is the only path forward, but not all the meetings I've attended have helped me and I'm sure that some meetings don't help some people because everyone is naturally at different stages in their lives & all of the content shared in meetings can never really connect with everyone in the room. That being said, I'm lucky to have found a sponsor who understands my point of view very well. Again, nothing at all against AA, as I'm alive because of that. Just trying to contemplate about the concept & trying to express what I can.
  11. @Nahm Thank you, that's quite intriguing indeed.
  12. Thank you Leo, it's pretty surprising but I think I might be understanding what you mean. The way AA runs right now in many cultures across the world is pulling the alcoholics to stage blue SD, which is good if the COG of the alcoholic is at Stage Red. But I was doing very well in life in that I had and still have a really good job and enough money, at the point when I understood I'm struggling with alcohol. Classic Stage Orange problem. If I keep following AA blindly, I might regress to Stage Blue in my level of consciousness, so the solution I have is to keep following this quest to understanding reality in the right direction by popping some weed edibles, going green, attending the Burning Man while I'm still allowed to work in the USA (I'm originally from India), rooting for Bernie Sanders and 'transcend' orange. It's great to read other posts on the forum & know that all of this is God's imagination anyway. There is no fear when I look at things from that POV.
  13. @Derek White Your comments make a lot of sense, and when I was reading the thoughts that you articulated, I felt as if I am reading my mind. I am originally from India although I currently work & stay in the USA. I do think that the BJP's vision might be to help India evolve towards a firm stage Orange after integrating Blue values & that this ongoing drama is probably what they consider as a necessary for that evolution. It is very dangerous & interesting at the same time. I was in India for my holiday & I must say that the environment is kind of crazy really with so many people having all sorts of contradictory opinions. It gets really tricky when you consider that the population is so large & the wealthy/influential people have really different POVs. I think Sadhguru understands this and is being diplomatic about the topic. I'm sure all of this is extremely low consciousness stuff for him & he's probably just trying to help the population get over it. I'm gonna switch gears here a bit to give you some idea of where I'm coming from. So let's say we assume that all of this is happening for a reason & that this conflict is necessary at this point of time in India's history to-be, in order to achieve nationalism and get over the caste barrier once & for all even from villages, where the caste system is still predominantly active. Meanwhile, people like me who grew up in big cities in India have already become more individualistic and have a lot of stage orange values. I've moved to the USA on a work visa legally (not IT or coding so please don't judge me.. lol), and I'm at a tricky phase in my life where I'm trying to be more world centric & transcend to spiral dynamics stage Green. Now when I look at this & try to express my opinions, I criticize the politics of all this & get really weird responses from fellow Indians. The worst part is that I get asked if I am pro-CAA or anti-CAA. My response has become, "It's complicated and a quick answer will definitely be the wrong answer." What I really mean is that majority of the society is not at a level of consciousness that is required to understand why this might be happening. Maybe it will all make sense to the world 50 years later.
  14. How did AA start with LSD ? I ask because I have been an active member of AA since a few months now & it is one of the reasons that I am on this quest to understand reality. It'd be great if you could elaborate on the point a bit more. Really curious to know.
  15. @Vido There is a lot of content here that can help you understand more about Osho https://www.osho.com/read Was just going through it yesterday & it turned out to be pretty fascinating.
