  1. Formless experience really isn’t that different from formed experience. Honestly, formless experience is just another flavor of form. They really are two sides of the same coin.
  2. It was just a typical street-purchased delta 9 wax. It’s always pretty intense, but for some reason that one night seemed to be exponentially more potent even though I had hit off the same exact batch before.
  3. Smoking a medium sized dab has been the most intense drug experience I’ve ever had. 10 tabs of LSD, 6 grams of shrooms, ayahuasca, and 160x salvia all come short to dabs for me
  4. Your post has pretty much no detail or precision and uses very vague terms. Maybe there are plenty of people who would like to engage with this if you can give us more information. I hope this doesn’t sound harsh. That’s not at all the intention. The bolded text is the only part that isn’t highly up for interpretation.
  5. Geez man. It appears that the problem doesn’t have much to do with just the words themselves but rather your general attitude held while communicating. Not saying you have to change or it’s even that big of a deal, but you seem to want to improve in these areas.
  6. @Leo Gura ?❤️
  7. I was raised Mormon. Game on.
  8. Who said compassion? You pay for grunt work that’s not worth it to do yourself is the idea. No need for compassion. It’s just business.
  9. Why not hire a monkey? Or even multiple monkeys?
  10. I prefer the phrase movie that plays itself a bit more myself, but yes, indeed.
  11. @Leo Gura it’s nothing worth pursuing anyway really. And being “called out” by someone for something doesn’t mean they aren’t pleased with what you do and who you are. You probably understand insanity more than plenty of “insane” people. There are plenty of insane people. The world doesn’t necessarily need a more insane Leo Gura. There’s probably many better possibilities than that.
  12. @Leo Gura that’s honest and completely understandable. Looking forward to seeing where it goes. Best of luck ?
  13. @Leo Gura I realized after writing that first post that I had watched that video at least twice. It is admittedly very difficult to articulate deep realizations. I think what I might have meant was more that the deeper understanding you’ve seemed to arrive at since then has not been given in as much precision. To me, finding a way to bring more precision to descriptions is one of the best ways to augment your positive impact on this whole area of development. But I’m a bit biased since I’m the type of person to get a lot out of dense technicalities when it comes to consciousness work.
  14. @Leo Gura glad to hear about a course running in that direction. I think one of the things some parts of Buddhism have done well is giving a strong effort to describe things as accurately as possible. With states, insights, realizations, etc. that are sufficiently complex, you can’t ever describe it 100% accurately, but in this kind of practice, even 2% accurate compared to 1% accurate could make a world of difference in steering people in the right direction.
  15. Correct me if I’m wrong, but scripting yourself that you are God before taking powerful substances at doses that reduce practical forms of thinking and logic IS God Realization? Not trying to downplay anything, but have we ever received a detailed description of what God Realization actually is beyond the obvious meaning that the name entails? I feel like there have been plenty of people to say “I’ve realized that I’m God”, and Leo’s response is basically just no.
  16. Reincarnation doesn’t exist, but it also doesn’t not exist.
  17. @Tyler Robinson @Inliytened1 My main take is that he probably did contact an insightful degree of insanity. But it’s still just for a short period of time. It’s like anything else. More hours = more understanding generally speaking. I also don’t consider insanity in a controlled environment to be equitable to insanity at the known risk of essentially all normal survival needs. There is a huge range of what can happen in this corner, or maybe even half of the whole room, of what consciousness can do. The thing about true madness is that no normally wise person would go seeking it, but it does bring a lot of insight into consciousness and experience itself, at least to the type of person who would naturally start looking into this stuff if they find themselves in such a predicament. The fact that no one would seek absolute madness having known it makes it something which is hardly understood or known about. There’s not much practical benefit in getting to these states, but if they happen of their own accord, they can still be used in a positive way later on as a sort of reflection on the potentiality that is before us in experience.
  18. To some, Leo experiencing insanity for an hour and claiming to have a clue about it is about as laughable as it might be for Leo to hear someone say they’ve understood awakening because they read The Power of Now
  19. It’s quite common to get into a depressed state and internally start freaking out a bit. The mind gets overactive thinking of how to escape the negative state. We look at the causes of the low state and try to change them from a place of low energy and motivation. If we fail at changing our behavior in this challenging state which makes positive change often very difficult, this can often snowball depressive feelings as we begin to see ourselves as a failure to a degree or at least below “where we should be”. One of the most helpful things I’ve figured out about depression is that worrying about a negative state being there in the first place is often one of the biggest things one can do to unintentionally extend and further intensify the negative state. If you look at a current moment of “negativity” and remained unphased by it due to the intimate knowledge that it can do nothing but eventually change and pass, the negative state will likely wave itself on out of your experience faster and easier than if you were to fight it.
  20. Listen to the audiobook Can’t Hurt Me and actually follow what it suggests, and you are guaranteed to find a deeper answer to this question than what any of us here will tell you. It’s not just reading the book though. The book has 12 exercises which have to be worked on to develop this. If you follow through with them for more than a month, you’re likely to find a level of mental fortitude you’ve never gotten to before. Just keep in mind that this path is serious, and you’ll probably burn yourself out. Even considering that, I think the lessons you learn about yourself and what you’re capable of will be worth the potential burn out.
  21. Status can be viewed as a sort of muscle you build. The “exercise” to gain status is to get “wins” in life. It can be as small and simple as that new person you met was really impressed by something about you, or it could be that you outperform the others around you in your work, school, or whatever else it is that you do. I think if you really want to build your status up, you’ve got to find a bit of an intersection in life that includes talent and at least not hating the activity which can be developed as a skill that scales to some degree. Ideally, you’d highly enjoy whatever that activity is. I’m by no means a “high status” person, but I’m definitely not the lowest tier by any means either. I started out with mainly two abilities naturally that I did well in that weren’t all that impressive, and I also had many things working against me. Those abilities were being better than everyone I ever met in person at a particular video game and having some natural talent in academics. The video game and performing better than others in school was really all I had for pretty much the first 18 years of my life. You have to slowly discover other things which you are better at than others and start developing those traits and skills to stand out. The more difficult, rare, and useful the skill or trait that you’re looking to develop, the easier it will translate into status for the other people who care about that thing. Once you get some “wins” in that area, people are to a degree forced to respect you. This is not because of any sort of manipulation but rather that the individuals who have an interest in that thing know what it takes to develop skill in it, and they cannot deny that you have developed well in that area. Status is ultimately a relatively low thing to focus on, but it still can be incredibly important in the sense that the chance you go to higher tiers of development is greatly increased if you’re not completely getting your ass handed to you in the practical, relative, and low-conscious areas of life. My advice would be to find some true passions and natural talents and focus on growing your knowledge, expertise, and skill in those areas. When you find an area with both passion and some natural talent, it’s likely time to get a bit obsessive and max that area of development out as much as you reasonably can. Status is ultimately a temporary and partially effective way to raise self esteem and increase your positive view of yourself, but its benefits will not satisfy you in the long run. Regardless, I think it’s pretty cool of you to be vulnerable about this with us and admit that you really do want more in this area. I think if you get some “wins” for yourself in life, you’ll be able to get a healthier relationship to status in the long run and not need it much anymore. I hope this helps.
  22. Worrying about weed being some horrible thing might be more harmful than smoking weed ?
  23. You might want to talk to your psychiatrist/doctor about trying Wellbutrin as an antidepressant. It’s been used for helping people to quit smoking, and it was the only antidepressant that actually helped my depression out of many. It will also likely even out the increased appetite you might be seeing from the zyprexa. I’ve tried Prozac as well btw. Wellbutrin seemed to work far better for me.
  24. Who is it that’s having these problems? The only real entity, or an entity just as fabricated as all of the others?
