The thing that worries me the most about covid is the long-term damage which seems to be pretty random. I wouldn't be the first in the line though, not because I wouldn't want to take it, but because I'm sure there are other people that need it more than me. (I barely spent time around people and I feel rather healthy) As supply becomes more plentiful I'd eventually take it.

@SirVladimir This is a pretty good intro on how to go through the process, he uses shopify as an example, but it really works with any kind of advertisement.
-
@SirVladimir If you don't mind me asking, how much are you paying for Facebook ads? If I'd be in your shoes, I'd try to DM psychedelic related Instagram theme pages. A lot of them sell "a post" for 10$+ depending on the size of the page. (ask for their price and then try to get it down to 50% of that.) Maybe create a meme about reading high and promote your book on the second slide. Tell them to write something in the caption like: "My friend Vladimir just finished his amazing short book that acts as a guide while you are high" or idk something like that, make it nice. You could also Dm them and ask if they'd be up for a commissioned based deal. So you pretty much get free promo.

Lmaooo If I'd be an alien trying to make contact with humans, I'd leave little breadcrumbs of evidence and see how humans react to it. Also, there are many people that claim that they have worked at government facilities and that they are hiding something. The book posted here seems to be by some Israeli official. The question is not just about evidence, the question is also about what evidence you are willing to accept. -

"science finally proved that I'm justified in my victim mentality" If you had stumbled across a study that said that men have more power "in the most important area" would you've posted it here too?

How to be a public intellectual: 1. Have the moral values of the average joe. 2. Present those moral values in a smart-sounding way.

@Eren Eeager Thanks mate I wonder if creating memes is a valid life purpose hmm.. -
I've gone through the leo's list and counted the books which I read from there. Roughly 74. Pretty good list! Def. got my money's worth!

This probably doesn't fit your criteria, but still gives an interesting insight into german techno music culture. I feel like the clear, cold, mechanical sound of techno is a pretty good reflection of the german mindset

Build a hut somewhere near/in a forest close to a lake, fully equipped to be self-sufficient with electricity and water. Have an outside gym and a huge library. Study, read, write, and create art. Donate 90 million.

There's a place in Germany's Hamburg called Sternschanze. Probably the most green place I've been to.

@The_Alchemist I've been very interested in that question as well, so I decided to get every book on amazon that I could find containing the word ego or self and read them all. The clear conclusion: There is no ONE definition. Many people use the word ego to describe different phenomena. But that is also very understandable since what we like to call the ego is a very flexible and complex thing. The ego has many different shapes and that's probably why it's so hard to define. The "ego" is one of those convenient terms for a postulation about a mystery that defies words and cannot be contained by them. I found Ken Wilbers - No Boundary to be one of the best books I've read on that topic. But as @Barbara mentioned, contemplation is the way to go here.

I've recently finished reading Biographies of Albert Einstein and Leonardo Da Vinci by Walter Isaacson. Both of them have been labeled as INTP's. I can definitely recommend reading up on big INTP personalities.

In my life, I've had some encounters with suffering. Throughout that time I have developed an "I don't care" attitude as a coping mechanism. Now, this has some benefits as I am not very attached to things and I don't struggle as much with emotional/attachment problems as others seem to do. However, it also seems to rob me of a lot of motivation. When people like Leo talk about building a compelling vision... I can't really think of something very compelling where I would care enough to put the work in. Give me a house with millions of dollars and a great career? Meh. I don't care. I'm curious if yall have any advice on how to work through that problem.
-
@Sunnyboytoni do you think videogames fit these criteria?
-
Well as said, nowadays the "I don't care" behavior seems to be a leftover pattern from times where suffering was more prominent. What is it protecting me from these days? Idk maybe achieving my goals because I don't care enough about them? What seems to be protected is my lazy self.
-
@Sunnyboytoni How do you define "toxic"?
-
@Nahm Thank you Nahm. I always appreciate your posts What do you mean by this? Yeah I get it, maybe "not in alignment with what I want to be" is more spot on. The thing is, these days there isn't a lot of coping necessary it just seems that the behavior pattern is still there.
