Meditation is not a technique and not a means to develop capacities - as long as you want anything out of it, it is not meditation. Yeah sure, it is called meditation by many still, but I would call them mental exercises. Mindfulness, concentration etc., all fine but I personally don't regard them as meditation.

Meditation is silence, stillness, bathing in what is, excluding nothing, focusing on nothing, simply being. It is the subtraction of all that is added on top. We are walking around as a pile of neurotic mental activity. When we allow it to simply subside by just sitting and being, Truth shines ever brighter and God enters the heart. And there, it simply rests.

That is meditation, and it is the most essential thing because it is our natural state. No amount of God realization through psychedelics will change that - meditation might be the state you will find yourself in more and more. I like the word silence almost better than meditation.

na man, yoga is for the girls because it makes the body releases more estrogen

During yoga, brain also releases dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin and endorphins.

Yoga essential means union of the duality and is a way of life.

Stretching with dedicated breathing is a sort of meditation itself and will make you feel good.

I have been meditating too for a few years now and I have stopped the practice multiple times too.

Calmer and less reactive is one of the biggest plus in your life you can aspire to have, you are more focused in everything when you are calmer and not impulsive.

Your focus on your emotions would also be acute and you ll be able to process them much faster. If anything youd be more in touch with your feelings.

The biggest take away for me is improved focus. Ana pana from Vipassana/ watching the breath method has helped me tremendously for me for focus.

whats a Sperg by the way?

When you get out of the driver’s seat, you find that life can drive itself, that actually life has always been driving itself. When you get out of the driver’s seat, it can drive itself so much easier—it can flow in ways you never imagined. Life becomes almost magical. The illusion of the “me” is no longer in the way. Life begins to flow, and you never know where it will take you.
