  1. A while ago me and my therapist were pondering on how the humanity is doing. She asked me "why do you think there is so much suffering? Why isn't everyone just relaxing, having fun and thinking positively?" In the context of our discussion, she was basically asking what is keeping humanity from greater well-being. A few months ago I would have probably said something like "it's because of the ego" or "survival" or "fear" or "low consciousness" or whatever. But I've come to see that these are just narratives. There is really no reason, nothing true in following those thought-stories, even though they might seem to make sense. So I just sat quietly for a moment, until I admitted that I don't know. It seems like there is no actual cause and effect, no story, no reason behind this suffering and dysfunction in the world. Same goes with "why is there something rather than nothing". Blank mind, no answer. Why to even assume there is a "why", a cause? Why are people afraid? Why are people judgemental? Why are people aggressive? Blank. No reason. No cause. Things are what they are and that's it. Why don't I feel like Home, why do I feel separate from God and absolute being? Blank Any of you get what I mean? Such a peculiar thing.
  2. I thought is was for those who seek truth. I thought it was for those who seek highest levels of consciousness and self-understanding. Which one is the truth? Consciousness, or levels? "Levels of truth." "Levels of formless." "Levels of nothing." "Levels of this." "Levels of ketchup bottle." What?
  3. @Leo Gura Shut up already. How is it possible for you to tell all those stories about ego and self-deception and at the same time be this blind to your own nonsense? Anyone who has ever actually meditated more than 10 minutes see right through your bullshit. Simple meditation and emotional awareness cuts through it like a warm knife through butter. Literally anyone could make the same claims as you do. Your words are empty. They don't serve us. They serve you, your self-image. What is anyone supposed to do with your posts here? Endlessly contemplate and wallow in low self-esteem and judgement because you say they don't "get it" yet? That is the stupidest, most counter-productive role any guide could ever take. That has nothing to do with making others lives better - it's about pulling them down with you. Fuck your trips and god-realizations. Why should anyone spend years tripping and watching your videos if the result is what we see here - doing nothing but claiming they have understanding that others don't. Fucking laughable. Start writing poetry, heal people or whatever else so we see what you actually got. If you don't have anything else to say than "I understand, you don't", then you might as well shut up. That has no real positive value for anyone. And don't come saying "my work is about understanding, not about feeling better or a better life". You know exactly why your videos has thousands of views and why people come to this forum. They are looking to feel better. That's why anyone ever starts looking for depth and spirit. Actualized.org is not just a business anymore, not some personal project of yours. People trust you and follow you. When you see those people suffering and getting hurt, you have the responsibility. Just like CNN, MSNBC and Fox News. Take your head out of your ass and see that there are others around you. Stop playing a philosopher when someone comes to you suicidal. Those people asking for help are the people who watch your videos and read your posts. They are a part of your work.
  4. You kill the monster by noticing the monster is a thought and it doesn't exist.
  5. Too lazy to be ambitious, I let the world take care of itself. Ten days' worth of rice in my bag; a bundle of twigs by the fireplace. Why chatter about delusion and enlightenment? Listening to the night rain on my roof, I sit comfortably, with both legs stretched out. Ryōkan Taigu, a hermit zen-monk who left the monastery to write poems and drink wine in a cottage middle of nowhere. He also often played ball with children and wrote like a thousand poems about it for some reason.
  6. For me it seems like some projecting on a monk going on. Don't see how anyone speaking for meditation and unconditionality like this one would impose / convey such conditions and duality. "There is no way to happiness - happiness is the way." - Thich Nhat Hanh
  7. @gettoefl @Fearless_Bum Oh my god yes women are the best
  8. There is nothing in death that cannot be in life. There is no benefit in suicide. You can be at peace and feel awesome right here in life. You can have it all, because you are home and you are free. Do not underestimate the power of simply opening up. You got nothing to lose in being open and expressing emotions. You matter, and each one of us encourage you to talk to someone.
  9. There is a hundred thousand videos, blog posts, articles, books, ideologies and beliefs shared around that you could believe and then feel like shit about yourself and your life. I encourage you to say "fuck that shit", and not swallow a single bit of it. You know it's nonsense and not what you want because you feel like shit about it. That's your emotional wisdom saying "This is toxic. Don't ingest it."
  10. I 100% hear what you're saying. Thanks for posting, this was actually a great read for me. There is no "work", and what the gurus talk about is not at all complicated. It's reeeaaallly simple. It's the philosophy and the metaphysics and the mental noise that makes things seem complicated. Love God and do what you wish. What do you really want? What life do you want to live? How do you want to feel? Feeling is the language of the soul. Feeling good and living awesomely is all about listening to how you feel. And make no mistake, feeling good and awesome is all we ever want. Every time you catch yourself in mental noise and feeling stuck or down, come back to sensing, feeling, hearing, seeing. You don't need to believe / follow any thought that make you feel miserable. Any thought can be 'cut short' and returned to the peace and silence of this moment, life, direct experience. Here are some things that have worked really well for me. I really encourage you to try them: Daily morning meditation. Meditate for at least 15 minutes right after you wake up, before breakfast, screen, or coffee. Simple breathing meditation is enough. Breathing is enough. Nothing complicated here. There is no mystical experiences, no enlightenment, no ego, no god-realization. Just relaxing and breathing. If morning meditation is too uncomfortable, listening to your favourite music is a great addition to mornings too. Dreamboard. Get one on your wall. If you don't know what a dreamboard is, ask @Nahm . Crystals. I hope this isn't too woo for you. I don't know anything about spiritual energies and stuff like that, but I've found wearing a crystal around my neck is great for feeling and living better. I don't know how, but it works. If you're interested in this, I would google shops that sell them, scroll through the page and look at the pictures of the stones. Keep sensing and feeling, and see if you like any of the stones, if you find any of them beautiful, if you feel like they 'call you'. Then, just go about your daily life with the stone around your neck. It is good to every now and then relax and bring to mind what you want in your life. Write those things on a piece of paper and place the crystal on top of the paper for a moment. I've found that placing the crystal on top if the Cho Ku Rei - reiki symbol works too in 'charging', or setting intention and creating a relationship with the stone. These are all very simple, yet powerful tools for your awesome life. Each help you 'plunge' toward life, rather than holding on to the depressing and heavy mental noise.
  11. I understand loud and clear. It's just that imo the words are ridiculous. 10 minutes of basic meditation absolutely demolishes it. But 200+ trips and god-realizations don't seem to be yet enough.
  12. @Kksd74628 How many words, metaphors and arguments is one gonna need in order to keep calling people babies instead of offering basic sympathy and care for someone experiencing suicidal thoughts and such issues?
  13. Thinking death is something, feels like something and happens to someone, is projection. Death is a thought. There is only This, life.
  14. Do you meditate on a daily basis?
  15. @Nahm Not offended at all, greatly appreciated ? Yes, thought attachment was at play that day, and also seems to be right now. Hence the questioning. And yes, sitting in a chair would probably have been a lot better now that I think about it. Shining light on thought-attachment, rather than theorizing about ego, survival, states and stages have been the best of Nahm, and has been truly life-changing stuff. THANKS
  16. Well, when you swallow a certain enough amount of let's say psilocybe cubensis, weird things start happening. Sight enchances, becomes all wavy. Sense of space & time changes. I ingested around 5 grams, later pretty much psychotic thought-patterns emerged and I had to call an ambulance. I think it is quite safe to say that it was the substance that at least played a role there. So in a practical sense, I'd say they do "mess one up", just like alcohol. You put in inside your body and soon stuff starts to happen. From personal experience, I'd say caution is good when psychedelics are used. If I would not have taken those mushrooms that day, there would not have been months of emotional distress, panic attacks and intrusive thoughts.
  17. Omg yes "Meditation" does not really mean sitting down and doing something. It's not an act. It's not a practice. Such a funny word, it doesn't point to anything, yet it does. Perhaps just like "enlightenment". These two might actually mean pretty much the same thing. It's so silly when some people on the forum say stuff like "meditation will never get you as far as psychedelics".
  18. @Neph I hear you. I've experienced something quite similar to what you describe here. Same thing, I listened to Leo and got more confused than clear. A while ago I posted this. Maybe you find some clarity there:
  19. Come and see. Sit down for 15 minutes, focus on breathing, count the out-breaths, and let go these thoughts about motivation, commitment and "my mental health". One breath at a time. If daily meditation is too uncomfortable, begin the well being with a dreamboard. If you're not familiar with it, ask Nahm. When the dreamboard is up, get a crystal and wear it around your neck. Take time every now and then, bring in mind all that you really want in life, write it down on a paper and place the crystal necklace on top of the paper for a moment. You'll see.
  20. Yeah... Nazis had their own race ideas going on. It's quite interesting really. They had a whole theory for it. They really thought it was the peak of science and understanding of people and humanity. You're from Russia right? You would have been considered a Slav. Subhuman, just like Jews. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_racial_theories
  21. This is the problem. If she walks away to dance with her friends, that means she is not interested in sexy dancing with you. If she was interested, she would have herself come back to you. 3-4 times you trying to dance sexy with her is kinda weird. But this is not some serious sexual offense. You are young, communication and social interaction can be quite weird and hard at these kind of situations. I'd say be honest, tell her why you wanted to dance with her, tell her the same you told us here. If she doesn't get your side of the story, that means she doesn't want to hear it. It's not on you.
