Try different techniques. Nowadays I enjoy "do nothing" or guided meditation by Rupert Spira.
Also, you may try micro retreats, set apart 2 days and do 5-10h of different spiritual practices. You'll see the results. -

Any insight is temporal. It's just conceptualization of Truth. That's my understanding...

Looks like nobody suggested to you psychedelics yet. Even 20ug of lsd (which is a microdose) can allow insights, especially if you do it for the first time.

Have you tried classical psychodelics like acid and shrooms? If not, I would advise starting from them (at low dose of course).

@ivankiss beautifully put as usual
tl:dr; whatever arises, let it be.
PS: I think Leo just confused us with his 'Letting go' video.
PSS: or the topic is really sneaky.

Sounds like you are on the right path towards spiritual growth, but I know nothing. Good luck.

It's not like I could've said: "nah, this can wait a few more years."
I did not choose. I was chosen.
I did not seek Truth. It found me.
Exactly. All these talking about whether to pursue enlightenment or not are just mental masturbation. If it's destined to happen it will happen.

QuoteBecause you can be really awake. It's not a very difficult thing.
I think for most of the people it's not the case.
QuoteAnd of course live now from that position, from a position far from being driving in the front seat, but rather in the back seat (I hope this metaphor gets understood)
Could be that full awakening is not a driving from the back seat but something like a hybrid mode (driving from the front and back seat simultaneously)?
I am not sure about enlightenment but a few mystical experiences had helped me in relationship with my wife (and other people) tremendously. After these experiences you become more loving and have more empathy to the people. Not a bad things for relationship, family, career, right? -
QuoteLeo why do some people stop and think that "This is it" when they awaken? Why don't they think to go further?
These experiences are so terrifying, so different from a normal mode. People tend to cling to them and take it as Absolute Truth.

Does this mean that what happens in this life is in a way predetermined.
I mean if someone steel's something from me this is what should be. Because that's the reality?
Do we have any power over manifestation ? Me, the me who is an illusion.
For example in the last years "i changed" i'm no longer depressed, it feels like "I" made the changes and fight my demons.
The ideea that i'm trying to bring here is if this life, dream, illusion etc. Is something that the best way to get it is to let it be. Because you have no power, individual power? Let go and let god ? True Power is no power.
Or we have little power, i mean some power as an individual. Not that it seems that we have power as individuals. And we can make or brake this life ?
?
I want to share with you my concepts related to the topic:
Whatever happened it was a God will.
Everything is predetermined but there is no way for a human to read the future (this is by design).
There is no so called personal responsibility. So, don't blame others for what they did since it was a God (Your) will.
But still do what you like to do, listen your heart (Intuition).

Imagine John has a dream with himself and others. Everything in the dream is John (including John character). A John character can make a violence to other dream characters. . . but then he realises that he (John character) is not only the dream character but also a John (who is sleeping), so every other dream character (to whom he did a violence) is also John. With this realisation John, probably, is not going to do any harm to others beings, just live his dreamed life until the real John wakes up.

@Nahm no 5-meo? c'mon?
just kidding, great guide! -
Advice.
If you like to do meditation or yoga do it. And don't blame yourself for egoitic reasons to do it. If you don't like to meditate or do yoga don't do it. And don't blame yourself for not doing it.

I think, this work is not about proving. Since being is prio to thinking. Everything happens inside Being, you can't prove it.
I can have high states on psychodelics where I may realize that I am. I see that these mistical experiences improve my relationship, my life in general.
But you are right you need to do the practices by yourself. Every teachings are just pointers.
Godspeed.

I think, awakening can reveal different facets of Truth. The mistake is to cling to only particular facets and take it as Truth.
-
Could it be that there is a different depth of awakenings?
On one level only Oneness seems to be Real, everything else is Illusion, on another level − Absolute and Maya are both Real, just different sides of the same coin. -

@Serotoninluv what does it mean? Did you have a non-dual experience just by contemplating something?

Definitely about It:

10 minutes ago, arlin said:But if i take a psychedelic and my ego falls away, who is experiencing that experience? It still has to be a "you" somewhere in there to experience that. Right?
you is part of You, when you become conscious of You, you are still there, it's just tiny part of infinity You.
... and then you come back and says: "I am You! I was always You. What a mindfuck." -
3 minutes ago, Inliytened1 said:You can understand it as a concept but its not the same as direct actuality.
Yes. And the ways how to have direct actuality are meditation, kriya yoga, psychedelics...
-
8 minutes ago, Inliytened1 said:You become directly conscious of it for yourself. This is prior to knowing. You BE it.
So don't rely on any teacher or take this on as a belief as that would be a mistake. You are your own authority in the end.
Is it the same as Leo often says: "You need to have awakening to understand"?

My parents split when I was three... looks like a common thing in this thread.
Soon my mother found the guy-alcoholic... In general, I think I had normal childhood, that guy loved me, but for me he was mostly like a friend and not father.
Anyway, I am grateful for childhood since I think due to divorce I had more love from grandma and grandpa.

For me meditation is about calming my mind, if I want profound insights I go straight to psychedelics.
