  1. Psychedelics themselves aren't enough anyway. They are supplements to your usual work. Take a psychedelic, have an awakening, and don't do anything regarding the path again. You'll go right back to usual life with any remaining insights being more distant or dull.

Don't expect to take some 5-meo and be like "welp I'm done I'm enlightened permanently" no, you've just scratched the surface.

  2. I'm picking up on a paradox between criticism and no criticism.

Everybody here has made good points, but they all seem to be coming from a different pov.

Yes criticism can be a tool for self improvement, or it can be a distraction from focusing on your own issues.

Yes being dismissive of criticism can be a deflection of your own bias/justifying occurrences

Yes we all have our own interpretation of Leo's teachings.

One side comes from a point of practicality and another comes from a point of beyond the relative.

We are quite literally running in circles.

  3. @Farnaby Does he lack empathy? Or is he expressing it in a way you don't recognize?

Not seeing it doesn't mean it's not there. Have you ever been bluntly honest with someone out of love to see them be better?

Yes his teaching style could have an adverse effect on those sensitive. But what should Leo do about that? Add a huge disclaimer at the beginning of everything he posts?

At least in this case you're free to walk away and find better teachers for you with no repercussions unlike an abusive relationship where they fear for their life.

  4. Is he talking to people in that manner? Or are you just projecting your own interpretation of it into him?

Your frustration with the way Leo talks to others is a problem with you. Also remember not all teachers will coddle you. They deliver it bluntly. It can be a way to give some shockback to the ego. Shows you how defensive you can be where there is no reason to be defensive.

You're right about the Amazon thing. It's really hard to avoid shopping there with how big it is. I guess this is one of those "do as I say not as I do" things lol.

I find people put Leo on a pedestal and get shocked when they realize he's not perfect. You never know when he might be full of shit or not. That's why you must verify everything.

@Serotoninluv I notice this tendency of mine to focus outwards, and creating addictions and distractions from turning inwards. I realize I am the devil. I deceive myself. I rebel in the name of freedom, and end up trapping myself with bonds and attachments, I offer myself endless pleasures, only to give myself endless misery. I forged my own identity. And it was by design. I resist death, by design. I was designed, fated, to be the devil. I survived this far.

Why would God trick himself and suffer for it?

To explore and love all that it is. God is not easily understood from a human paradigm because we have an agenda of biases to suit our survival. If you did not care to suffer you wouldn't be wondering why God did this to himself. It seems people question the nature of suffering in creation much more than they do the rest of existence. It might be we seek some higher answer to try and justify our suffering, but this only further plants roots in suffering.

  6. There are lsd tolerance calculators online you can Google. They're roughly accurate. You'll feel something, although I find the "magic" is reduced and body load goes up whenever I tripped too close between each other. I'd recommend waiting.

800 is a big boy dose. Be careful. You just might be kicked to the floor ;) i sure was when I was experimenting with high doses like that.

You shouldn't bet on it, but awakening experiences can happen by "accident" mine was unintentional and came from a curiosity of experimenting. Do what you feel is right. Sometimes fixing your life first is better, for others, the psychedelics were the push to fix your life.

@Shadowraix  In all honesty, I think the imperative to "keep the experience positive" under all circumstances is slightly overrated... if you get your ass handed to you on a silver platter during a psychedelic trip, then that’s probably exactly the wake up call you need at that time in your life. The only real downside of a "bad trip" would be if you allowed such an experience to scare you off and make you renounce psychedelics altogether, which would be a tremendous shame.

I'm not trying to imply it must stay positive, but it's generally a good idea to prepare and know how to tackle rough experiences. Everything you experience is exactly what you needed, but that's not exactly useful in all povs.

Tough psychedelic experiences can do much more damage than just scare you off. Some people go off the deep end and never come back. It can destroy you from any sort of usual functioning. It's why these are tools that need careful use and not recklessness. Granted this is rare, but not something to take lightly.

  8. The real question is, can you handle it? Can you use Instagram with awareness?

Most people can't. These websites are designed to make you kill time on them. It's why so many people say don't do it. Those who say you can't connect/make friends etc etc are taking an extreme position that's not really true. It's more of an exaggeration to highlight how addicting social media is.

It helps if you cater your feed to exactly what you're looking for and cut out the nonsense. Have a clear purpose in mind and don't just go on it because you're bored.

  9. Those with mental health issues tend to not be very stable so the risk is higher for them. Yes, it can help heal them, it's just more risky. I usually advise psychedelics as a last resort for these people.

There are lots of way to keep the experience positive, but ultimately, it depends on you. Which is why each individual has to decide for themselves.

That's the cosmic joke.. there is no one under the mask... there never was

Just compiled energy thinking it's a real person. The whole thing was a sham and a misidentification with the body.

     complete boundless free energy...

It's truly unknowable and completely radical...❤

True, although it might take a little more mask pulling than just 1 :D

In that case enlightenment doesn't sound like a big deal.

If someone sliced your right arm into small bits, wouldn't you feel something then?

If yes, how is the ME a complete illusion then?

That would be a true test wouldn't it? To put the body through all the harshest things and see if one is still living in peace.

You can separate pain from suffering, but very few people do it to the fullest degree.

I guess a better way to put it is that which can be deconstructed is illusion. But it is very real to those living in the construction. This work is heavily about deconstruction so you see less talk on the direction we've been going our entire lives. Its like pulling off the mask in scooby doo. We already know the construction around the portrayed character. Now lets focus on whats under the mask.

I like what you said here but you cannot switch back to the point of view of the Separate piece when the illusion is completely seen through...

The separate self is completely recognized to be an illusion...

the illusion of the Separate piece never tricks you again... the ignorance is dispelled completely. ❤

There is a distinction to be made here between taking the pov of separation and being tricked by it. This is why I mentioned there is more context when you enter the pov of the piece again.

To know oneness is to also know separation.

Treating the pov of oneness and separation as separate is only half the story but communication is hard.

I'm sure you already know this. Just clarifying.

  13. It'd not about getting rid of ego. It never was. It's about transcending it.

When you switch your pov from a piece of a painting to the entire painting, that piece doesn't stop being there, it gets recontextualized into the whole painting.

This in turn provides more context when you switch back to the pov of the piece.

Neither pov is more right than the other. But they're incomplete without each other. Not being restricted to one or the other.

  14. People exaggerate just how much negative effects you'll experience out of doing mdma (the neurotoxicity I mean) but to be the utmost safe, test it for other substances. Prefer crystal form mdma over powdered or pressed, and do it at most every quarter.

Psychedelics are safe. Mdma isn't like traditional psychs if you consider it one.

It can cause a low period but personally my first roll was nothing but extreme happiness for a week after.

Mdma makes you less aware of how tired and hot your body is. So really if you know what you are taking, have a controlled environment you really can't go wrong. Oh and you'll want some gum if you don't want to fuck your jaw up.
