  1. @DrewNows I think all of leo's videos are too radical for the government
  2. I guess i'm being overly rational and distracting myself with the verbalism of enlightenment rather than the spiritual journey & subjective experience. I just thought it was an interesting nook and cranny of what absolute goodness entails.
  3. What if God was a wrong with his approach of making Trump president and this was the root cause of global extinction (unlikely but hypothetically possible). Would God have failed? If God's political agenda is that anything that happens is good, would he excuse global extinction as absolutely good because its only some miniscule world in some obscure corner of space, which doesn't matter for the exalted good of the universe.
  4. Aakash, but nature cannot experience emotions unless its sentient/animalistic. So what would goodness mean then? Understanding/diversity?
  5. your in phase limbo dude, start a new chapter
  6. I understand wheat is "unhealthy" and I used to have porridge as my preffered breakfast, but now that our microwave broke I've had to replace it. I'm 16 and live with my parents studying in six form and for the last week I replaced the porridge with brown flakes. I need some sort of breakfast. I don't eat bread (unless its in the dinner). I have no control over dinner as I rely on my vegan parents to provide healthy food. Anyway, that's the context. Is brown flakes healthy, if not what should I replace it with concerning my broken microwave situation.
  7. Happiness is enjoyment of the content of existence. Bliss is enjoyment of existence itself despite the content.
  8. YEAH fucking scream into a pillow and shake your body LET YOURSELF GO. THen come aad see how you feel. Then next time try and be super mindful and relaxed and then come back and see how you feel. There's no absolute principle. Personal development is a subjective journey and is mastered through trial and error. Self-experiemnet and remember learning equals behaviour change.
  9. There's this really good channel "Joseph Rodriques" who does extensive book summaries on foundational self-help books, and he continues to do them once a week. Would it be better to watch these videos rather than reading the books? I'm not trying to be lazy I'm trying to be efficient. I think a good hour long video of someone distliling down the basics of a book, rather than actually reading the whole thing is more efficient. Additionally, most of the books he reviews are orange/green books and if I was to find a high level yellow/turquoise book then I wouldn't find a summary but read it slowly and meticulously. Is this a good strategy?
  10. Pretty much, I just did an intense workout (i'm only 15) and after it my eyes were bloodshot and my parents saw me and instantly got extremey worried. My dad got angry and dismantled my weights. They did this and started to accuse me of how strange I've been acting recently. Basically, It's the summer and it makes sense for a kid my age to be going out with their friends all the time. However, I kind of isolate myself and work on myself as a self-actualizer. I meditate, research on my laptop, etc. They always accuse me of being strange. They love me very much, but they're "worried" as they say. They're even threatening to take my laptop off me even though I use it for good. I still don't know how to rationalize the bloodshot eyes, I was kinda shocked as well. What do I do?
  11. Well, I watched Leo's video on "mankind is the bullshiting animal." and the whole time I was trying to make sense of what bullshit actually is. Is it just untruthfulness, or devilry. It would help if there was a general list of what bullshit refers to. If I'm trying to question my own bullshit what am I actually questioning. I feel bullshit encompasses a lot. Can someone give me an example of how they uncovered bullshit in their life?
  12. meditate for an hour straight and come back and notice you are happy. Happiness is full acceptance of the present moment regardless of what it is.
  13. The first enlightenment experience I ever had was during a strong determinaton sit. Personally, I find self-inquiry a very slippery and frustrating process and I can't really get a grasp on my empty nature. However, I find long sits better because my thoughts eventually drown out and I get to expereince reality for what it is (instead of contemplating who I am and trying to focus on that). For some reason I find strong determination sitting not as difficult as I thought it would be so I can imagine If i did it more often it would it be more effective. However, I haven't tried self-inquiry that extensively so I'm not sure. WHat are your thoughts?
  14. No I haven't actually I'll give it a shot
  15. I'm really into meditation and I want to get better that's all.
  16. "I'm a master at meditating", "I can meditate for 100 hours straight." are examples. How would you phrase it?

  18. I'm glad I took extensive notes on it
  19. Is it appropiate to categorize contemplation (specifically contemplation with a jounral) as a form of meditation, or would it just be a thinking exercise?
  20. I'm 15 and I don't make a lot of money. I want to find my life purpose, but my mind insists that I need the life purpose course to find my life purpose. In a sense I feel insecure with my purpose, and my ability to find it. However, do I really need the life purpose course. If I just contemplate what is my life purpose from scratch will I find it. If not, should I work towards buying the course?
  21. Understandably spiral dynamics is a sufficiently accurate at describing human beings and human evolution. However, what if we encounter an alien species within our universe is found which is incomputable to the spiral dynamics model, and in fact uses a model radically different if such case is possible. Would that be possible?
  22. Yeah your kinda right lol
