  1. The difference between Self and Being
The difference between Self and Being
Imagine nothing changes about your experience other that there is no sense of self to it. That's what no-self means. It does not mean lack of experience.
When you were a baby you had experience but no self. Animals also have experience but no self.

  2. Steelmanning Buddhist deconstruction - Emptiness = God
Steelmanning Buddhist deconstruction - Emptiness = God
God-Realization is not merely form either. That too is a kind of mistake in reductionism. God is a kind of consciousness's recognition of itself. If that recognition is missing then God has not been grasped.
We are not talking about form or no form. We are talking about a self-reflective recognition. Like, does the banana recognize that it is a banana? If you try to boil that recognition down in any other thing or no-thing then you missed the assignment.

  3. Can you get crazy from philosophy?
Can you get crazy from philosophy?
You need to start with smaller problems/questions before you try to grasp the ultimate nature of reality.
Start with smaller, more grounded questions which you can experience immediate success with by having genuine insights.
Over years the small insights will accumulate and open doors to deeper insights.
Make sure you keep your philosophy grounded to direct experience. Investigate and make observations about the workings of your own mind.
Here's an assingment to get you started on the right track:
Observe and categorize every function of your own mind. What are all the things your mind does or can do?
Don't speculate. Observe it and write them down. Make philosophy more like science you do on yourself.
Ultimate reality is so radical that it cannot be understood from your normal state of consciousness. A change in state is required. Smaller questions don't require a change in state.

  4. Spiral Dynamics - Stage Yellow Notes
Spiral Dynamics - Stage Yellow Notes
After rewatching @Leo Gura 's Spiral Dynamics - Stage Yellow video, and manually taking notes as the video progressed, I've come up with the final blueprint for Stage Yellow. This is a thorough summary which took me like 5 hours to create manually! No AI was used for creating this summary! I hope it helps folks who forgot bits and pieces about what Stage Yellow entails! Enjoy!

Chances are, if you love the Actualized.org content, that you have something within you that resonates with Yellow.

With Yellow we finally reach Tier 2. Before Yellow we have all the other stages, which summarize the conventional way of thinking which represent almost 99% of mankind. With Yellow we shift into tier 2.

    What is tier 2?

Tier 2 represents a quantum leap in one's awareness of reality! It's an awakening to systems thinking and holism. Recognizing that everything within reality is deeply interconnected in ways that Tier 1 couldn't even imagine! Tier 2 is opening up to awareness of the spiral itself. Tier 2 is a shift from survival into being. A shift from needy perception into being perception. Being perception means looking at a thing and seeing it for what it really is. Needy perception means looking at a thing as to how it can serve you. Tier 2 derives its values from the magnificence of existence itself rather than from selfish interests or group interests. With tier 2 there is a much wider and deeper perspective of life. You are no longer concerned only about your personal survival problems or how to acquire personal success, rather you are concerned with the problems of the entire mankind or problems of the entire globe. Ideas become multi-dimensional in tier 2. There is a lot of layers and complexity to things. There is now an awareness of one's own perspective. You realize that your perspective is partial and that there are also many other valid perspectives besides your own. The problem with tier 1 is that they think that only their perspective is valid and only their perspective is based in absolute truth and all the other perspectives are false. In tier 2 you realize that that way of thinking is flawed. There is no such thing as objectivity. Tier 2 does away with judgement, demonizing, blaming and scapegoating. At tier 2 demonization becomes untenable. Nobody looks like a demon anymore. Evil ceases to exist. Tier 2 is non moralistic Tier 2 replaces fear with curiosity and care Tier 2 is basically what Abraham Maslow described as the self-actualizing individual.
What is the essence of Yellow?

Systemic, integrative and multi perspectival. Yellow uses multiple perspectives to analyse reality. This is one of Yellow's core defining feature. Yellow swings the pendulum from the collectivist approach of Green back to the individualistic approach While Orange was also individualistic, it only cared about personal success, damn the consequences regardless if the success came at the cost of hurting others. In contrast Yellow still cares about personal success but not at the cost of others. Yellow has a sensitivity and awareness that excessive self-interest can cause a lot of harm to others. Yellow is aware of its own carbon footprint. Yellow is careful to not hurt others through its own actions Yellow is all about understanding the magnificence of existence Yellow is all about exploring reality using your mind Yellow believes that a kernel of truth can be found in each perspective. Yellow is open to exploring various extremely radical perspectives that orange or green or blue would have instantly shut down or dismiss. Yellow is extremely open minded Yellow is about designing integrated and open systems Yellow is seeing life as a kaleidoscope of natural hierarchies, systems and flows Yellow people are the information elites They are caring yet at the same time realistic Being a realist is what defines yellow's understanding of politics and mankind as a whole
    When does Yellow emerge?

Yellow emerges from the limitations of Green! Green goes into mob mentality, into over emotionality, into overly sacrificing for the collective, so Yellow brings that back. Yellow emerges when Green develops increased discernment When Green ultimately becomes frustrated with fruitless activism At the tail end of Green you start to see the wreckage of the entire spiral. You realize that all the stages are fighting each other and basically the tier 1 thinking and mentality is endangering and jeopardizing all of mankind. When you realize that you aren't going to solve mankind's problems with the tier 1 mentality. You need to move to tier 2. Ideas become more interesting to Yellow than community which was interesting for Green. Yellow becomes extremely interested of how the other side thinks rather than just criticising and judging
    Stage Yellow Values

Nuance and complexity Open mindedness Multiple perspectives Novel concepts and points of view Generating fresh insights Understanding Systems thinking Non-linear dynamics Sustainability and long-time horizons Yellow values going meta Big picture understanding versus technical analysis Connecting the dots Penetrating to the core of an issue Identifying and solving root problems Taking a multi-disciplinary approach Mixing perspectives from the soft sciences with the hard sciences Creativity and outside of the box solutions Ecology Responsible ways of being Studying models Yellow values spiral dynamics Natural hierarchies Education Knowledge Research Reading Diversity Clean content and concentrated information Yellow likes to absorb as much information as possible into its commonplace book Lifelong learning Proactive about learning Yellow likes to be self-taught Expertise Competence Experience Complexity Context Learning from history Developing skills to become an instrument for the greater good Independent thinking Neutrality Being objective and impartial Designing solutions for the entire spiral rather than just for one's own colour the way that tier 1 does! Meeting people at where they are at! Building bridges Social engineering Ecological designs Reducing the suffering of living systems Pulling ideas from many different sources Combining different ideas, models and theories Yellow is left brained Vision Purpose Being a visionary Being a pioneer Requisite variety Mental flexibility Self-actualization Paradox Uncertainty Responsibility Independence Autonomy Being a lone wolf (Because Yellow is moving away from the group hive mind that was characteristic of Green!) Warning!!! It is really easy to confuse Yellow with Orange
How to distinguish between Yellow and Orange?

Firstly you have to be aware that these two stages are radically different from one another. Yellow represents a quantum leap in development compared to Orange! Yellow is beyond concerns of self-survival whereas Orange is completely survival oriented Orange is often driven only by personal success! It only wants money and achievement and recognition and earning prizes and awards! Yellow doesn't care about these things anymore, Yellow is beyond that! Make sure to don't confuse manipulation of systems with systems thinking! Orange exploits and manipulates and takes advantage of existing systems for its own benefit, whereas Yellow thinks systemically in order to improve and innovate and evolve pre-existing systems. Yellow would never abuse or manipulate a system's flaw for its own benefit, rather Yellow will try to use its intelligence to try and repair a faulty system, but never exploit it! Yellow has a selfless, gentle demeanour about himself, Orange has a selfish exploitative demeanour about himself Systems thinking is about understanding the system, seeing life and reality as a set of complex systems interacting with each other and it is about caring about the health of the entire system! Yellow cares about preserving the system. Whereas Orange cares about exploiting the system for his own benefit! Yellow's attitude is non manipulative! That's the key distinction between Yellow and Orange! Yellow cares about ecology Yellow cares about collateral damage unlike Orange Yellow has a long time horizon whereas Orange has a short time horizon For example if an Orange CEO runs a company and he can increase the next quarter earnings by 10 fold but as a consequence the company will have severe difficulties over 5 years, because the Orange CEO will be the CEO of that company for only 3 years he doesn't care what happens after he is gone, all he cares right now is to fill his pockets! A Yellow CEO will be very mindful of how he runs his company now and what risks he takes now in order not jeopardize the future of the company down the road! Yellow is non-judgemental and neutral in a way that Orange isn't Yellow is aware of the entire spiral, in a way that Orange isn't, and also, Yellow is aware of itself. Orange is not aware of itself! Yellow creates designs that accommodate for the entire spiral Orange schemes and manipulates to accommodate only for himself Even if it hurts the spiral, Orange will have no remorse doing what it serves him best! Whereas Yellow will be extremely cautious and caring for the whole spiral. For all the human and nonhuman beings! Yellow will avoid all the actions that have the potential to hurt anyone across the spiral!
    Characteristics of Yellow

Yellow is non-ideological yet highly principled Yellow acts from an inter directed core Yellow has a strong ethical core ( This ethical core doesn't derive from some religion, or some set of Commandments or some book! Rather it derives from his own inner wisdom which Yellow has garnered through massive life experience and thorough studying about life and reality. Yellow's understanding of the world is derived from exploring different perspectives and assembling all the small pictures into one Big Picture that consists of all the perspectives and systems Yellow observed throughout his life) Yellow feels that understanding other worldviews is critical! For Yellow there is some kernel of truth in every worldview! To Yellow few ideas are sacred! To yellow all ideas are subject to revision and upgrade! Yellow is highly flexible whereas the lower stages are more rigid! ( Warning! An individual that changes his opinion on various subjects all the time is not Yellow!!! That's Orange or Red! Only Orange or Red is sneaky enough to change its opinions in order to align with the agenda that is running the government in that moment) Although Yellow is flexible, a Yellow person will never go from one extreme to another, Yellow fine tunes its opinions but never drastically shifts from one extreme to another.   For Yellow the world is a complex self-organizing natural system that requires integral solutions. Yellow appreciates just how complex social issues are, political issues, like poverty, and health care, and the economy! All of these are very nuanced complex issues! There are no easy simple solutions for such problems! Yellow introduces lots of ideas, connections, and complexity. If you bring a Yellow person into your business, they're going to bring in lots of these unique complicated ideas. Yellow has an overarching view for living systems Yellow takes effective action to support the whole Yellow integrates science, religion, and personal development Yellow doesn't really care what others think about him. To Yellow what others think of him is interesting but not critical To Yellow nothing is evil or purely negative. To Yellow there is a higher wisdom even about the bad stuff in life To Yellow every system has value, but that doesn't mean that every system is equal. Certain perspectives may be deemed as outright wrong and very unhealthy! Yellow will recognize that! Yellow has given up clinging to tradition or old status quo ways Yellow believes in being adaptable to your environment, that's how you survive Yellow sees deep common threads everywhere Yellow is able to hold two contradictory perspectives at the same time, a thing that all the lower stages weren't able to do. Yellow has a greater degree of behavioural freedom than all the other stages Yellow wants to develop natural living environments to support human evolution Yellow has an overarching vision about a system and then determines what the system needs to grow into blossom. If you think of systems as plants, then Yellow is the gardener Yellow moves freely between different value systems Yellow believes in acupunctural interventions which means taking a small action to make a big impact Yellow is aware of self-bias and self-deception, in a way the tier 1 stages weren't aware of. Yellow looks beyond merely human oriented interests. There are larger concerns, global concerns, universal concerns Yellow has a large vision about the future for humanity, and Yellow can have a lot of revolutionary and visionary ideas Yellow tends to have an enormous drive and focus to actualize his ideas Yellow recognizes the importance of consciousness and spirituality, although not yet fully immersed in true spirituality Yellow is operating at the level of mind, intellect and analysis Yellow sees the limitations of reductionism, pragmatism, behaviourism, logical positivism, rationalism, and libertarianism Yellow tends to be curious without judging and keeps asking questions For Yellow there is a constant flow of new ideas and ways of thinking Yellow understands that everything is connected and works together Yellow is good at distinguishing the essential and the ancillary Yellow is always keeping an eye on the big picture not on the technical minutiae Yellow loves learning and is a quick learner Yellow is open to learning from many sources Yellow has an attitude of open questioning and discovery To Yellow every experience is a learning opportunity Yellow has strong humanistic and inclusive values Yellow enjoys paradox and uncertainty and is adept at resolving paradoxes Yellow can enter the point of view of all the spiral stages, also Yellow sees al the lower stages as legitimate. The lower stages don't need to be demonized Yellow is able to facilitate the movement of people up and down the spiral Yellow is able to dialogue with every stage of the spiral below it Yellow is here to develop systems for tier 1 in order to evolve upward at its own pace One of the biggest differences between Green and Yellow is that Green tried to get everyone bellow it to jump up to Green, whereas Yellow will try to get a stage Red individual firstly through a solid integration of stage Blue, before it tries to get that individual to the highest level. Yellow will do that using a systemic, pragmatic, right process. Yellow sees each system as the next step, but not to the best or the final Yellow is not reactive Yellow is able to listen deeply Yellow recognizes layered dynamics Yellow is able to entertain an idea without believing in it Yellow has a knack for gathering information from diverse sources Yellow is continuously evolving Yellow prefers elegant simplicity and functionality rather than opulent displays of power ( Red, Orange and Blue love to brag and to show to the world how cool and rich and how big of an individual they are) Yellow has no need for status and exhibitionism Yellow is not concerned with comparisons, rather than comparing itself to others, Yellow compares itself to itself Yellow cannot be coerced, bribed or intimidated Yellow doesn't get involved with criticism or controlling behaviour Yellow doesn't desire to control or to be controlled Yellow doesn't create enemies Yellow doesn't scapegoat Yellow is immune to radicalization You cannot brainwash Yellow. Yellow thinks in so many perspectives, you cannot trap him into only one way of thinking, into a cult! Yellow is drawn by hotspots where the evolving crisis demands new insights Yellow has a meta understanding of human nature and conflict Yellow is aware of backfiring mechanisms. Yellow is able to anticipate the consequences of policies and behaviours that may work in counter intuitive ways Yellow is counter intuitive Yellow has a sense of delight when encountering the new and the novel For Yellow authority is contextual. Yellow will choose as it's leader the best, the most competent individual in regards with the problem at hand. If a different problem arises, then Yellow will choose a different leader which has expertise with dealing with the new problem. At Yellow the leader isn't static. Yellow enjoys minimal consumption Yellow can be gentle or ruthless, conformist or non-conformist, it all depends of what the situation at hand demands of Yellow Yellow is a Chameleon. Yellow is always looking to find win-win-win solutions. Where the two parties doing the business win plus the costumers or the recipients of the end result win. Where the entire spiral and the entire ecological system as a whole also benefits. Yellow doesn't join wholeheartedly and group experiences. Yellow tends to be a bit of a lone wolf. Yellow prefers to keep a low profile Yellow doesn't like a lot of attention. Yellow's best work comes from a place of solitude and aloneness Yellow will not sacrifice himself for the commune the way that Green would Yellow has a soften, mature, responsible masculinity Yellow is characterized by being a centrist on the political spectrum but can sway to the left or the right depending on the political issues Yellow is trying to solve!

    Analysing some examples of Yellow

Let's take vegetarianism. What is the difference between vegetarianism at Green vs at Yellow?
A Green vegetarian is an obnoxious, proselytizing vegetarian. A Yellow vegetarian will still understand the same things as Green does, but he will react in a more mellow, understanding way towards a meat eater, basically understanding that you can't convince someone who ate meat all their life into joining you into vegetarianism. Yellow allows other people to live life according to their current level of development, as opposed to imposing his Yellow worldview onto others the same Green does!
Let's focus on Yellow political solutions!
For example let's focus on the Israeli - Palestine conflict!
A tier 1 person will look at the situation and will immediately pick a side! A stage Yellow person will firstly analyse thoroughly the situation on the ground, actually going into both Palestine and Israel and interviewing people that live there, asking everyone for his side of the story, and then Yellow , without trying to push his political agenda, will try to find the common ground between the two conflicting sides, and looking for a long term healthy solution that will be suitable for both the Palestinians and the Israelis. Yellow will try to defuse any ideological polarization that sits at the root of the conflict!
What would be a Yellow approach when it comes to the economy?
The main problem with tier 1 economists is that they have very strong and rigid opinions on how the economy should be handled! Those people are ideologues! They are either Hard core capitalists, libertarians, socialists, communists and so on! A stage Yellow approach means looking at the systemic problems that our economy has! Moreover, Yellow will try to make accurate sense of how the main stake holders in the economy view the world, what are their fears, what motivates them? Yellow will try and do that with all the major groups of people who have the power to positively or negatively influence our economic situation. Yellow will bend over backwards to get a crystal clear understanding of the big picture when it comes to economics before attempting to change something! Yellow will study the situation extremely carefully then he will come up with systemic solutions for economy!
Yellow's approach in regards to the educational system!
A tier 1 person will either be pro public schools or pro private schools without acknowledging the main causes of the dysfunctional nature of our education system! A stage Yellow person will firstly study and analyse what are the main problems! Where are the leaks within the current system of education. Yellow will do a complex diagnosis before attempting change! Yellow will travel the world to explore different educational systems and analyse what makes those systems work!
How to know if you are really a Stage Yellow person?
Are you non-judgemental? This is the most important quality for being solid Yellow! Have you stopped demonizing people? Have you stopped debating and arguing with people? Have you stopped moralizing and blaming and scapegoating? Have you stopped crusading? (Tier 1 people go a lot into intellectual or ideological crusades, ranting about an enemy, whether it's the right or the left, or the progressives or the neo-nazis! If you have something that is triggering you from the aforementioned you have still some way to go before you reach Yellow! Let it go!) Have you stopped being an Social Justice Warrior? Are you able to be impartial? Are you able to really step outside of your own agenda? Can you see the world through the lower stages? Do you see the validity of the lower stages or you think that the lower stages are dumb and should not exist? That is the key difference between tier 1 and tier 2!!! Do you see that every perspective is partially true? If you have difficulties stepping into a Nazi's shoes, and to try to understand what makes the Nazi think the way he thinks.. This means you are not yet into Yellow! Are you genuinely curious to explore other points of view? Are you able to go meta? Do you see that mankind's problem aren't personal but systemic? And that the problems are really nobody's fault? Until you realize this you will always scapegoat and demonize people. Thinking that it's the Christians fault or it's the billionaires fault, therefore meaning that you are yet to reach Yellow!
    The mantras of Yellow
We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that we used to create them! The map is not the territory! Every perspective is partially true and partially false! Wisdom is knowing what you don't know! Perspective is everything! The better the model the bigger the problem! New times require new thinking! Different strokes for different folks! It takes all kinds!
    What triggers Yellow?
Tier 2 is not easy to trigger! That’s one of tier 2's hallmarks! The blindness and infighting of tier 1 Yellow will feel frustrated of the lack of progress and backwardness that exists all around the world! As a Yellow person you will rarely find likeminded individuals, you won't be represented in the media, on the internet, in politics, you have to be prepared for a world which isn't ready to accommodate you! Black and white thinking, because Yellow is exactly the opposite which is means Yellow is a nuanced thinker Non-Systemic thinking, people who think too short term Excessive rationalism, reductionism, scientism People who turn science into a religion or dogma Frustrated will all kinds of dogmatic and ideological people Conformity and groupthink Polarization Demonization Radicals and radicalization People who don't understand spiral dynamics Consumerism and profiteering Religion can trigger Yellow Fixed structures which offer no space for knowledge, development, analysis or conceptualizing Red tape and bureaucracy Working in groups Myopia, the lack of vision that people have Yellow can be frustrated by the fact that most people are focused on short term petty human issues rather than the higher issues that face mankind By people who lack an interest in the big picture People who are overly technical and focused on trivia Politics and gamesmanship and manipulation
What are the limitations of Yellow?
Yellow is still stuck in duality Mysticism is still not possible within Yellow because Yellow is too much in his thinking mind Yellow thinks too much Yellow may be unwilling to transcend models and concepts Yellow can get bogged down in complex analysis Yellow can develop an intellectual hubris which can lead to a form of arrogance Yellow can invent a lot of futuristic solutions that are not pragmatic. Ideas that look great on paper but that cannot be actualized yet. Not being able to finish something because Yellow is always on the hunt for something new to approach and solve Yellow is too much of a loner. He needs a team to actualize his vison but because of his solitary nature, he struggles with being part of a team or group. Yellow might encounter difficulties creating a community Yellow can forget to connect with people because he is too focused on models and ideas rather than relationships Yellow can be emotionally distant The biggest limitation of this stage is the fact that Yellow is still unhappy despite all this knowledge and intelligence that Yellow has acquired! A lack of embodiment of the things that he so thoroughly developed inside its mind! Yellow cannot solve the world's problems alone, Yellow needs a community for that!

    Yellow statistics
About 1% of the adult global population is Yellow Yellow has about 5% of world influence through the media, books, government programs The style of government under Yellow is systemic flow, it's knowledge centred governance, the dawn of systems thinking within governance and ruled by experts and intellectuals
    How to transcend Yellow?
To transcend Yellow you will have to go from self-actualization into self-transcendence You have to realize that understanding and the mind will never bring you happiness Enlightenment, Kundalini awakening Psychedelics Kriya Yoga Meditation Self-Inquiry Vipassana Spiritual practices Solo meditation retreats Long periods of isolation Realizing the limits of concepts and the mind and beliefs You need to go beyond models into a deep embodiment of the things you read about in books Be more emotional Be less logical Yellow is a bit too left brained, he needs to bring back a little into the right brain Opening up the heart chakra Loving kindness meditation Practicing more compassion Be more intuitive Surrender all control Totally deconstruct your ego Deconstruct your web of beliefs and your emotions Deconstruct all your models and all your concepts Deconstruct materialism and dualism Start to read a lot of books about non-duality Start contemplating You need to transcend language to transcend Yellow, start to see the limitations of language Mindfulness practice Practice mindfulness all the time Start to live your life in the way the turquoise saints and sages have lived their life Melt into the now! You need to become really present Heal your energetic system! You may have energetic blockages, blocked chakra Join a spiritual community Ultimately to transcend Yellow you need to enter into a state of no mind

    Conclusions
If you are Orange, your ego will really want to claim that you are Yellow! Be careful about that, you are probably nowhere near Yellow! It is very easy to overestimate yourself on the spiral! Even if you are really Yellow, remember that there are many degrees of Yellow, how solidly and how deep are you into Yellow? Become a student of the spiral, revisit the previous stages of the spiral and try to make deep sense of what each stage has to teach you! Learn how to communicate with each stage. Go back to each stage and ask yourself what positive aspects of the previous stages have I not fully integrated? And try to integrate those missing aspects! Also try to spot out within yourself the negative aspects from previous stages that you are still doing to this day.
    Warnings
Don't make the mistake of thinking that Yellow is infallible. Yellow can make mistakes. Yellow can subscribe too deeply to one bad perspective more than he should! Yellow could make factual errors, Yellow is not perfect Yellow doesn't mean that it can't hurt people, sometimes Yellow's solutions can backfire in its face. Also Yellow could be too cold in relationships or make mistakes in his personal life Yellow can have personal problems or unhealthy behaviours or addictions. Although this is less likely because Tier 2 people tend to be more mature and more conscious Make sure you don't over idealize any particular stage!

  5. Are there different kinds of intelligence? (struggling with IQ self esteem)
Are there different kinds of intelligence? (struggling with IQ self esteem)
There is a factor to intelligence which is general, across-the-board. That determines a baseline. But then there are individual types of intelligence over-top of that. So people can be quite dumb or rusty in some domains.
For example, I've always struggled with math intelligence. Math was always an uphill struggle for me because the way my mind works is not wired for it. My verbal intelligence is way higher and comes to me effortlessly. Intelligence determines what comes easily or naturally to you and what doesn't.
But also don't forget that you can develop higher intelligence by training, education, cognitive development, consciousness work, emotional work. Rationality, for example, isn't automatic, it must be developed. If you fail to develop rationality you will be pretty dumb even if you have high general intelligence.
1-4% of the population has aphantasia, which means that cannot visualize, they do not see images in their mind. It's not a lack of intelligence, it's a kind of neuro-divergence. Maybe you have that, I don't know.

  6. Can deconstructing reality turn you into a serial killer ?
Can deconstructing reality turn you into a serial killer ?
Killing people in cold blood is so repugnant that if you're actually going to do it, there's a lot more involved to that than deconstructing reality. There's some kind of twisted emotional trauma element which has, ironically, not be deconstructed.
You can jailbreak your mind but you'd still need some compelling reason to go out of your way to murder people. It's just a dumb way to live.

  7. What are the odds that you, an average dude, is Tier 2? Not very high.
What are the odds that you, an average dude, is Tier 2? Not very high.
The key to identify Tier 2 is that a mind at Tier 2 truly understands that no one worldview is strictly correct, so it seeks to integrate many worldviews, and it understands that there is a hierarchy of worldviews based on development level and that each level serves its purpose and should not and cannot be eliminated or reduced away. Tier 2 understands that the mind needs to progress up stages, not just leap to its right view. The Tier 2 mind doesn't engage in the worldview battles of the Tier 1 worldviews because it's after a higher synthesis and meta-understanding.
And then of course this understanding can be embodied to various degrees.
You can't really learn this from ChatGPT because a Tier 1 mind will still be so attached to its worldview that it will want to fight with other worldviews. Tier 2 would be the transcendence of the need to fight and demonize the other views. Letting go of this need is not something that can be achieved just conceptually. So because of this Tier 2 is not a set of beliefs one adopts. Tier 2 is the ability to jump between many different paradigms, taking the best from each without getting trapped in any of them. In a sense, all worldviews start to make sense because you see why they exist and what purpose they serve, even if they are very limited or wrong. Tier 2 is to not get distracted by the obvious wrongness, sort of how a good parent does not let a child's wrongness and ignorance to distract from the underlying love and good intentions.

  8. What are the odds that you, an average dude, is Tier 2? Not very high.
What are the odds that you, an average dude, is Tier 2? Not very high.
Frankly I'm amazed at how much depth each stage has. I keep dipping back into Orange and Green and Yellow and learn more about myself and the mind.
Each color is like its own wellspring.
You gotta stop worrying which stage you're at and just grab insights and lessons from the whole Spiral whenever you can.
It's like a color palette and you are Picasso.

  9. How could feelings be just about survival and nothing else?
How could feelings be just about survival and nothing else?
All of experience is Truth, but then experience is co-opted and twisted to serve survival. Thoughts and emotions have Being in themselves as qualia, but notice how much thoughts and emotions become tools of the ego.
Survival is one lens to see things through. It's a powerful lens. But there's more to Consciousness than survival. So it depends on how you want to look at it, and what purposes you're looking at it for.
The feeling of an itch on your face is both a survival thing, but also an ontological, existenting, Being thing.
Of course that itch is God if looked at with sufficient consciousness.

  10. Žižek’s Negative Ontology
    Žižek’s Negative Ontology
Zizek is a sick, lost, fragmented mind.
There is a resolution to metaphysics. It is God-Realization. Whole, Perfect, clear, radiant.
Metaphysics is not resolved at the level of concepts, it's resolved at the level of realizing Self. Self is not some tortured, perverted Zizekian mind. Self is the wholeness of God.
Zizek is literally missing himSelf. His sickness manifests outwardly in his ramblings and ticks.
Ontology is not negative, it is positive. God positively exists.

  11. Mega-Thread of Low vs High Perspectives
Mega-Thread of Low vs High Perspectives
Yes, I started listening to his metaphysics until I quickly realized it is nonsense.
This entire meta-crisis community is full of sophisticated self-deception. Watch out. It sounds smart on the surface but the more critically you think about it the more absurd it becomes.
Game B will fail. It is completely out of touch with how power, economy, politics, society, and culture works. These Game B people jerk each other off in their own echochamber.

  12. Economic Situation Thread
    Economic Situation Thread
No. Trump is a manifestation of America's unique stupidity. Only in America could people love a guy like Trump -- who is completely full of shit, ignorant, corrupt as hell, vain, fake, fickle, and incompetent. And yet half of Americans still respect him.
It's the exact same stupidity which elected W Bush twice.
America does this to itself because it lacks a proper education system.

Hi! Here you have my notes from @Leo Gura 's video on How to Distinguish between Lower vs Higher perspectives part 1. Hope it helps! No AI was used. I typed the main ideas into my commonplace book as I listened to Leo's video.

Lower perspectives are distinguished by a lack of education.( If you want to evolve you should study world wide geography, history, background, geopolitics and so on. develop high education on all domains of life) Learn worldwide geography and world history, for every country and every continent. Get a grip on basic science, mechanics, physics, chemistry, biology , geology and so on. Lower perspective holders lack the experience in the field they hold the opinion . You need to have experience within the domain you hold the opinion. Lower perspectives have a strong urge to defend that perspective from attacks. Higher perspectives are based on insights and the lower ones are based on beliefs. Lower perspectives will prevent you from doing deep enquiry of said perspective. Beware of emotional manipulation techniques. Close mindedness like an old mule. They announce the world that they are the holders of truth. There is always something else that these people are after. They are after money and sex and their perspective when implemented grants them that. Lower perspectives are not into learning. Lack of intellectual maturity and integrity. To develop a higher perspective you must: Develop skepticism, open mindedness, Genuine inquiry. Lower perspectives don't like new information. Inability to admit mistakes and reconsider in light of new evidence. Lower perspectives can't consider nuggets of truth in other lower perspectives. A high perspective sees the little nuggets of truth in many lower perspectives and jumps in and out of many perspectives. There are partial truths everywhere. Lower perspectives are based on groundless assumptions Higher perspectives go out of their way to try and falsify their perspective. They try to gather evidence that goes against the said perspective. Lower perspectives reject empirical evidence. Lower perspectives fail to make subtle distinctions. Not every Chritian is a nutcase, some are more evolved than others, not everything is black and white. Watch the episode Learning= making distinctions. Lower perspectives are extremely conformist. In a mainstream or non mainstream alternative ways. The low perspective mind is trying to fit in, to look up to authority for approval. Low autonomy of mind. Lack of basic questioning, lack of indepence of mind, low questioning of authority. Always question what your authority figure is saying. Think critically for yourself. Don't accept blindly. Watch out how you speak, weigh in every word you speak, because most of the time the first thing that comes to mind is self deception, even the third thing is self deception. The more that I do this work, the less that I speak. When you see someone that won't shut up. It is a good sign that their understanding of reality is preety low. When you really understand what is going on, it shuts you up. Ethnocentrism, Tribalism, and extreme ingroup bias. Loyalty for your team winning, us vs them, survival over truth. Less developed minds only care of personal gain, only want the goodies for their family and personal tribe at the expense of everyone else. The lower you are the more selfish you are gonna be and vice versa. Higher perspectives have deep respect for the epistemic ecosystem. Example! You have a big podcast to do tomorrow, you have done zero research for it but you still gotta pocket 10 million worth of advertising, so you spit some bullshit conspiracy theories, and voila , the audience is happy, you've pocketed the money. But you took a shit on the epistemic ecosystem which encompasses all of the knowledge society receives. Lower perspectives are adopted to fit in with some kind of social circle and to be part of some group think. Lower perspectives use worldview and perspective as a survival tool primarily. In order to get money, fame, sex, power, approval, love, success and influence. There is no interest in truth. Primarily all human religion is just for social fitting in! Not for truth seeking and finding good. That is just a facade! The real reason one goes to church every week is to gain friendships, connections, business deals, sex, love and to belong to a tribe. Lower perspectives have a high degree of emotional attachments. Those people use their ideology to get the best for themselves. And when you challenge them on these subjects they become extremely emotional and violent and bitter and angry. Lower perspective holders tend to over personalize disagreement. To them every attack is personal. Lower perspectives have a tendency to go on crusades against the people they perceive as evil. Rather than to go and seek to punish others , look inward and try to find solutions to your own mistakes and moral failings. The lower perspectives are moralistic, judgemental and demonizing. The more somebody demonizes somebody else, the lower their mind is. Contemplate why a higher perspective mind can't just demonize a certain group of people? Why demonizing cannot be part of a higher perspective? Lower perspectives are highly opinionated. Lower perspectives are eager to debate and own others. If you really known the truth you wouldn't feel the need to own someone in a debate. Lower perspectives are run on lower emotions. Fear, resentment, bitterness, nihilism, xenofobia, vindictiveness, cynicism. And energetically they feel bitter, negative, toxic and angry. If a perspective comes from a place of anger, this is an tell tell sign that that perspective is lower. If you are angry about the capitalists, that is not the truth, you are angry because you lack some qualities in the capitalistic world and therefore you project your lack of skills into anger at the thing you don't understand. To understand something you have to be objective and be outside of your biases. Lower perspectives are authoritarian in their style. Coercive and domineering. Why can't a really conscious, a really cognitive developed individual, truthful mind be authoritarian? It is because you believe that somehow you are  on a higher ground than the one you are dominating. That is pure selfishness, and selfishness is the hallmark of a lower perspective. For example a higher mind can't just beat his wife and then sexually abuse her. Because he values the sovereignty of the wife. Lower perspectives lead to violence, cheating, lying, and theft. Lower perspectives have low empathy. They aren't able to put themselves on the shoes of other people. Lower perspectives love conspiracy theories. A lower perspective will strawman other perspectives and people. Lower perspectives will use low intellectual practices. They will use gaslighting, whataboutism, bullshitting, lying, cheating, name calling, denial, counter attacks, dodging questions, and false equivalence. This kind of manipulation won't work on higher perspectives, but will appeal to lower perspectives. A lower perspective doesn't have enough intellectual honesty and integrity to recognize all this tactics! Misunderstanding those tactics for genuine truth seeking. Lower perspective uses bluster, charisma and bombast in order to trick less developed minds into buying into that lower perspective. A lower perspective is full of double standards! Lower perspectives are extremely biased and unaware of their biases. Moreover they love their biases. Lower perspectives conflate facts and data with interpretations! Lower perspectives conflate personal survival needs with truth goodness and objectivity. Lower perspectives reify human constructs like Christianity, Islam, capitalism, science and so on. Those are human constructs they are not absolute truths. Lower perspectives solely focus on the human-centric bias. Only about the human perspective of things. Example. Christianity says that only humans go to heaven and animals do not! How biased is that. Or that god appeared in the form of Jesus only on earth? What about the other planets in the universe? You have to understand that not everything revolves around humans. Human bias is not Truth. Lower perspectives don't check sources. You have to always check the source of your information. The lower perspectives cherry picks only the information that confirms what they already believe is true. Lower perspectives focus a lot on optics, grandstanding, being larger than life, pretending to know everything, and trying super hard to impress others with their accomplishments and how great they are. Peacock syndrome. Lower perspectives don't distinguish between corelation and causation also they wrongly attribute causation and effects. Lower perspectives oversimplify causes. E.g. the economy is not going well due to those democrat marxists. Lower perspectives refuse to believe anything other than their current perspective. Also limited scope, lower perspectives only focus on a very narrow niche of reality failing to take into account the interconnectedness of all aspects of reality. Lower perspectives view and interpret things from reality in order to suit their pre-existing world view. Like seeing Jesus in a coffee cup and other signs like that. They can't distinguish reality from their projections on reality. Lower perspectives don't understand the nature of relativity. They will only use relativism when they are defending their worldview. Lower perspectives also dismiss and discredit experts and expertise, they only use experts when they need them to validate their perspective. How many studies on microbiology or vaccines have you done to flippantly discredit a scientist who designed a vaccine or to cast into the world your opinion when you've done zero research on the subject you so strongly hold an opinion. Lower perspectives weaponize information and take full advance of mass propaganda. Truth can only be arrived at only through genuine process of inquiry. You can't get truth from somebody else, only through thorough inquiry. Higher minds are non-partisan and are not politically radicalized. There is not a clear right or wrong, each side makes mistakes and also valid points, you can't just embrace one party and totally dismiss the other. Each party has valid points. Higher perspectives care about sense-making and epistemology and truth seeking. A lower mind only cares about It's party to win. It's team winning. Lower perspectives often engage in evangelism, prizing the imposition of their worldview, while higher perspectives value respect for other minds, avoiding domination through indoctrination. True education or facilitation involves guiding individuals, like children, to explore and understand concepts like mathematics through discovery, not just memorization. This contrasts with indoctrination, which seeks to instill beliefs without questioning, as seen in some interpretations of Wahhabist Islam where there's little distinction between teaching and indoctrinating. Lower perspectives have no environmental awareness. Lower perspectives engage in information echo-chamber and want to contribute to that eco-chamber, higher perspectives tend to do away with eco-chambers and try to not take part in them. Lower perspectives lack self reflection. Lower perspectives have no clue about non-duality. Lower perspectives have no understanding of developmental stages. (Spiral dynamics or the Susan Cook model 9 stages of ego development). Lower perspectives don't even know that developmental psychology exists. Christians and Muslims don't know that their religion is ranked fairly low stages of development. Lower perspectives have a tendency to impose their will and agenda onto others due to their insecurity. They need the whole world to reflect back their worldview so that it feels less like a fantasy. They think that everyone needs to be like them. Which is a sign of a very low perspective. A religion that doesn't seek to proselytize others and to dominate others into adopting It's worldview is ranked higher on among religions than those religions that all they do is proselytize. The lower perspective believes that there is only one way to view reality. Their way. Lower perspectives sometimes stem from mentally deranged minds. Lower perspectives only tell you what you would want to hear. In conclusion you have to realize that your mind is tricking you all the time. Surviving corrupts the mind. The more your mind tricks you into acting selfishly for pure survival, the more you will be falling into these traps, the lower your perspective will be.

  14. Why the hate against Christianity?
    Why the hate against Christianity?
    That's the trap.
The truth is that you don't know if it will work out. But instead of just accepting that, Christians force faith on themselves.
Faith really means: you don't know but you wanna act like it will go your way because your survival needs it to go your way.
I don't need faith that a crocodile will not eat me. I just don't know. Maybe a crocodile will eat me one day. That's the simple truth. Whereas Christians walk around telling themselves every day that they have faith that a crocodile will not eat them. This faith will be eventually broken by God because it isn't true.
It is not just that Christians have faith in God. They always conflate faith and God with their personal and social survival needs, which is a corruption.
The problem isn't merely that Christians are corrupt, it's that Christian ideology necessarily creates corruption. Their corruption is not coincidental, it is causal.
My argument is, if you want to free yourself of corruption, let go of Christian ideology.

  15. Treat Women Like Children
    Treat Women Like Children
Exactly. And people have lost all sense of their caveman foundations, thus acting like modern fools.
The cavemen were masters of survival, raising children, and common sense.

  16. Ethical Conduct For Enlightenment?
    Ethical Conduct For Enlightenment?
Most people with regard to ethics and morality have it backwards, they put the cart before the horse.
If the boundary between self and other is eliminated (enlightenment) then what naturally springs up from that void is: universal compassion and expressions of unconditional love for all of reality. << This is where all the best and oldest ethical and moral precepts come from.
It's analogous to when Pythagoras discovers the Pythagorean theorem through direct investigation and then codifies it into a formula which is then applied mechanically by millions of school children to crunch numbers. A deep understand of the theorem from first-hand investigation is rare. Most people just crunch numbers blindly when it comes to ethics. They don't understand WHY it works or where it's sourced from, they just know the rules to follow. And ironically this turns them into little egotical devils, judging everything under the sun as good/evil.
Why does Buddhism teach ethics? Probably because most people won't get very far on the path and some rules are better than nothing. Probably because reducing hedonistic or narcissistic action helps keep moving along the path. Probably because of social and political reasons too. Probably because from the Buddha's position it's the natural way to act. Probably simply due to cultural conventions and even the Buddha's own dogmas. And probably because the Buddha could not foresee the evils and abuses that would come when people turned his rules into religious doctrines.
It's important to remember that the ancient sages like Jesus or The Buddha did not have the wisdom of history like we do today. If Jesus or Buddha saw the last 2000 years of human history and all the evils that have been done in the name of religion and morality, they would probably have re-thought how they taught their disciplines and what rules they laid out. My guess is, they just sort of assumed that if you give the people some nice rules to live by, that will be helpful and no wrong will come of it. But they couldn't foresee how societies and religions would rise to power and use these rules as weapons to wage war on the ego's behalf.

  17. Leo's critique of Zizek
    Leo's critique of Zizek
    It's not so simple.
Adhering to moral precepts is part of the path. It's hard to reach satori if one is a devil. Hard, but not impossible. And it's hard to live in alignment with satori if one doesn't adhere to some moral precepts.
Basically the moral precepts serve as training wheels.
Even when doing psychedelics, your trips won't go very deep unless your mind is pure enough. Giving psychedelics to a guy like Donald Trump will not result in his realization of Buddha nature because his mind is too impure. First his actions would have to change. He'd have to stop lying, stealing, cheating, manipulating, etc. Or at the very least cut back on them.
Of course enlightenment does not require adhering to anything. It is total liberation. But in practice you'll never reach it unless you make an effort to be less egotistical.
A spiritual shift is also an ethical & moral shift.
If you complain that people are devils after enlightenment, just try to imagine how big of devils they would have been without it.
The mistake here is expecting some kind of perfect moral actions from people. This is not possible because morality is relative. Zizek likes to moralize without acknowledging that his moralizations are constructed by his own mind. If you are digusted by Nazis and Stalanists, it's not because they are inherently disgusting, it's because your mind is doing it out of survival drive. That is a self-bias Zizek's mind projects onto reality. Zizek seems to hold people like Nazi's as an absolute evil or wrong-doing, but that it is not Truth. That's not how a Nazi looks after satori.
Perfection is not something one achieves through good moral actions. Perfection is already the case. All one needs to do is attain satori to see it.

  18. Treat Women Like Children
    Treat Women Like Children
It's generally good advice when dealing with the feminine.
As a man you have to learn to emotionally manipulate women.
This sounds bad, but feminine women need and want their emotions managed. Children also need their emotions managed. The whole challenge of being a man is that you must deliver results with no one else to comfort you or manage your emotions. Women can operate that way too, but then they lose their feminine qualities and become masculine, which makes them unattractive.
The problem though is that this irresponsibility over one's own emotions in women cannot ultimately work. It must fail because life is far too serious to manage without being fully in control over your emotions. The feminine way of life is just not suitable for serious survival. It works when survival is relatively easy. Which is why feminine women often need men to take care of survival for them. The more she's able to handle very difficult survival, the less feminine she's gonna be. So there's a tradeoff between survival effectiveness and feminine innocence. If you want a very feminine girl then you gotta be ready to take care of her more, manipulate her emotions for her, etc. And in that sense it is like dealing with a child because the child cannot handle its own survival. That's the common thread.
Women are fully capable of taking care of themselves. The problem is that basically turns them into men. Which is unappealing to most men and women.
Learning to handle the feminine is a very tricky skill. It requires learning emotional manipulation. Men are never taught this tricky skill.

  19. Treat Women Like Children
    Treat Women Like Children
I didn't say that at all. Feminine is all about survival.
Every creature is only able to survive within a narrow niche. A fish cannot survive on the moon.
The feminine is designed to survive in a narrow situation: where the masculine provides a survival container. As long as that container is given, the feminine thrives. The feminine is designed for raising children within the survival container of the masculine. And no amount of LGBTQ ideology is going to change that. This is the delusion of leftist gender politics.
Masculine is the ocean in which the feminine fish swims.

  20. The harsh truth about women -Nietsche
The harsh truth about women -Nietsche
    Of course. It's all survival.
    Man. Woman. Crocodile.
    Same force.
You learn this when you do a lot of pickup. The fantasy is stripped bare.
Human love, like all human activity, is corrupt.
Nothing humans do is ever about truth.
If you dare to tell women the truth, kiss your relationship goodbye. Only a fool or a madman would tell a woman the truth.
Note: This is not a license to lie to women. There is a difference between outright lying and just not verbalizing hard truths.

  21. Spiral Dynamics - Stage Green Notes
Spiral Dynamics - Stage Green Notes
Re-watching @Leo Gura's spiral Dynamics stage Green video, I've manually taken notes on my OneNote Commonplace book about everything Leo explained about stage Green in his video. Thus making a thorough and compressive summary for everyone interested in spiral dynamics stage orange. No AI was used whatsoever. Hope it helps! Enjoy!

What is the essence of Green?

Green in it's essence is relativistic, caring, communal and environmental.
This time the pendulum has swung from the individualistic world view of orange to the collectivist world view of green. With each stage the pendulum swings between serving the individual and serving the collective
Green as opposed to Blue doesn't sacrifice the self for some afterlife ideal of heaven but for building a healthy and harmonious community here on earth for all to enjoy and to be a part of.
Green recognizes the validity of other cultures and species which blue had some real problems with accepting.
Green is very multicultural and cosmopolitan
Green is on a quest for equality and peace for all beings that inhabit the earth. Green cares as much for trees and plants as it does for animals and for humans!
    World peace! Justice for everybody!
Green is reacting to the injustices of Red, Blue and Orange!
Green is a rejection of shallow materialism which came with Orange, and Green returns to humanity and to spirituality, aspects that Orange also neglected.
Green represents a shift away from just the cold logical rationalist scientific paradigm into a more new agey hippie sort of semi spiritual but not religious paradigm
Green is all about love for others be it humans or nonhuman beings
You can encapsulate Green using just the words peace and love.

    When does Green emerge?

Because Orange takes greed and capitalism to it's extreme, it turns out that this can cause serious damage for a big part of society and it puts a strain on the environment.
Also Green observes that all of the world's problems cannot be resolved by more factories, or by more business or by more wall street investing.
So Green emerges when material and success fails to feed the human spirit.
Green emerges once Orange realizes that once he obtained his trophy wife, his sports car, his big mansion, and his millions of dollars.. Orange is still unhappy and although Orange got everything he ever dreamed of, Orange still feels like he is missing something which cannot be obtained via more materialism. When Orange feels a sense of longing for spirituality, for deep relationships, for reconnecting with nature… That's the moment Orange evolves into Green.
Green realizes that instead of mercilessly competing with others, it would be more beneficial for everybody to cooperate and live in harmony.
For green success represents when the whole community is successful. Green's personal success isn't making him be happy as long as other people suffer.
Green's sense of community has expanded a lot compared to the sense of community of Blue. While Blue only acknowledged as part of his community only his country and race of people, to Green the community means every single living being that lives on planet Earth. Moreover, Green acknowledges as part of his community even nonhuman species like animals and plants and trees.
Orange evolves to Green when Orange sees all the inequality and oppression happening in the world. Those are the consequences of the unhealthy manifestations of Red, Blue and Orange
Once Orange starts evolving into Green it sees the environmental impact that Orange has been having. Because to Orange didn't matter how much pollution it caused to the environment as long as it acquired massive profits.
One of the hallmarks of Green is a strong sense of ecology
Sometimes a severe health crisis or severe burnout from overworking can lead Orange to evolve into Green
Green is a shift from the heavy left brain thinking of Orange into an artistic, emotional, passionate right brain thinking of Green.
Green is an opening of the heart, a sense of blossoming of empathy, emotionality, femininity, vulnerability and love.
Green is the mellowing out of Orange. Green is the softening of Orange. Green is the stage where the individual learns to relax and enjoy his life.
The values that define Stage Green
Love Heart Soul Empathy Intimacy Kindness Compassion Mercy Leniency Humanism Liberalism Social progress Progressivism Equality Gender equality Racial equality Economic equality Social equality (Green fundamentally believes that everyone is equal) Egalitarianism Democracy Anti-Materialist Anti-Consumerist Anti-Greed Having a social conscience Supporting humanitarian causes Activism and protests Live and let live attitude to life Chilled and laid back Diversity and multiculturalism Cosmopolitanism Flattening the hierarchies Cultural relativism( Appreciates every culture and doesn't believe that it's own culture is superior than any other one, the way Blue did it ) Relationships and human bonding Pacifism Peace Finding common ground amongst people Harmony (Living in harmony with your environment and also harmony between people) Human well being Interpersonal skills Warm interactions, hugs (When you see Green people hugging and it makes you feel uneasy it means you are in stage Orange) Pleasing everybody in the group, not trying to exclude anybody Sensitivity Femininity Dialoguing Team work Sharing ideas and feelings The usage of psychedelics for the altering of the mind Exploring altered states of consciousness Can be spiritual but not religious like how blue was Especially valuing a communal sort of spirituality where Green practices that spirituality within a group Environment and ecology Going back to nature Learning lessons from mother Nature The wisdom of nature Sustainability Recycling Protecting the vulnerable and helping the downtrodden Redistribution of resources and levelling the playing field for everybody. Inclusiveness ( So that everybody in the group gets a chance to express himself and his agenda) Tolerance and acceptance Open-mindedness Deep love and intimate sex( Sex is much more deeper for green than for orange) Sex education (not ashamed like blue was, Green is comfortable talking about sex) Cooperation rather than competition Cares for animals, children, the disabled and the minorities Creativity, beauty and art for art's sake not for profit Values Gurus, A lot of Guru worship at Green Bringing people of the world together Socialism Green values crying and the expression of vulnerable emotions Intuition over logic Health, food and exercise
    Characteristics of Green

Green values the power of the community which is integral of all individuals as opposed to Orange who was all about he the individual Green sacrifices the self for this social network community Feelings and caring overpower cold rationality Green is about joining a community and to experience shared growth together Green reaches decision through reconciliation and consensus Green is all about getting together and voting for some green ideal Green is about dialogue and mutual understanding Green measures success in terms of personal happiness and the collective wellbeing of the group Green is characterized by seeking personal growth and introspections and there is a bigger emphasis on personal development that even at Orange Stage Green is into new age stuff. Like souls, reincarnation, nonduality, mysticism, chakras, karma, veganism, Gaia mother earth as a living being Green is characterized by connecting with nature Green is characterized by developing compassion Green seeks to communicate not just content but also feelings Green likes entrepreneurship but now tempered with more heart and humanity and compassion for it's employees Green is characterized by nurturing employees Green can sometimes be emotionally needy Green tends to reject displays of affluence( Green doesn't care if it wears a Rolex or a gold Cuban, to Green matters the quality of the person that he is inside, to green the greatest jewel is his inner development level, and his mind and character. Green is characterized by being individualistic but in a conformist way
    Examples of Green

The burning man community The Hippies The New Age movement and all the New Age stuff The Green party Green Peace Vegans and vegetarians Liberals Progressives Democrats Bernie Sanders President Barack Obama (Sidenote: Blue reacts very hatefully against Green because Blue is rigid and conformist while Green is free and lives life in a very liberal way. That's why the conservatives hated Obama so much) The conservatives skew more blue, the liberals skew more green and the business people are basically between blue and green The Republicans are mostly between blue and orange, and the democrats are half way between Orange and Green The more right wing you are the more you skew towards blue and the more left wing you are the more full on green you skew The Young Turks YouTube Channel Bill Maher The Daily show Jon Stewart Steven Colbert Sam Cedars The majority report John Oliver Democracy now YT channel CNN MSNBC VOX Vice The New York Times Sean Penn Al Franken Social workers Community organizers Spiritual meetup groups University Culture Social Justice Warriors Political correctness LGBTQ rights Gender pronouns Protecting minorities Post modernism Feminism What the conservatives call neo-marxism is usually stage Green Abortion rights Planned parenthood Pacifism The me-too movement Antifa Animal rights Anti-war protests Charities NGO's Organic farming Organic food Recycling Global Warming Music festivals The Beatles John Lennon Bob Marley Willie Nelson Marijuana legalization Psychedelics Timothy Leary Terence Mckenna Psychotherapy Progressive school teachers Liberal Supreme Court judges Socialists ( The socialists of the soviet era communism were stage red/blue. Mantras of Green
Love conquers all Sharing is caring Make love not war Everyone is equal Everyone is beautiful in his or her own way Everyone is right in his or her own way We're all in this together Live and let live Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free Can't we all just get along? The golden rule: Treat others the way you would want to be treated!
    What triggers Green?
Injustice and inequality Oppression of minorities The status quo and hierarchies of power When religion is used to justify oppression Human rights abuses Racism Bigotry Fascism Neo-Nazis The K K K Unchecked capitalism Consumerism Corporate Greed Wall Street CEO's getting golden parachutes while their companies go out of business Exploitation especially around the world in many 3rd world countries Environmental destruction Pollution Triggered by lack of empathy and cold heartedness Animal cruelty Deforestation Raping the earth for its resources War Genocide Rape Torture Abuse Domestic violence Verbal violence School shootings Mass shooting Poverty Fascism Authoritarianism The exclusion of people from a group Libertarians By the fact that Donald Trump is still alive!!!!! Conservative supreme Court In general green is triggered by the backwardness of society (If you are a progressive, keep in mind that the greater the progress you envision for your society, the greater the ego backlash will be from the conservative citizens of your society. And a huge ego backlash could set that society more toward conservativism thus undoing the progressive measures taken in the first place) You must evolve at a slower pace. Too drastic of a change might cause the unwanted regressing effect!
    Unhealthy manifestations of Green

Too easily offended and too sensitive (It would help green to develop a thicker skin!) Too much idealistic and not enough practical (No amount of talk can lead to achieving the change that Green's ideal is advocating. Green needs to develop a more grounded approach to how it plans to help society evolve) (Green can start a revolution but because it was never grounded in reality it usually fades away quickly and the status quo prevails) Group think and mob mentality Green can be ideological Green tends to demonize materialism (Usually Green rejected Orange without fully integrating it first, which leads to a disfunctional way of thinking that business is bad. NO! People need businesses to survive and to make sure all their needs are met and if Green with it's idealistic view of the world interferes too much into the business world, this could lead to massive unemployment and a domino effect which would worsen the survival of that society) Green doesn't fully appreciate the necessity of the lower stages (Green must understand that he needs to meet people at where they are at, not at the level Green would like the people to be) Green may fail to realize the complexity of the economy Green can be too relativistic which can lead to a false equivalency effect Green can sometimes be naively pacifistic Sometimes Green wants to flatten hierarchies too much Green is sometimes not action oriented enough. Not pragmatic enough! That's what happens when Green hasn't properly integrated Orange! Green can have extremist elements Green can be too emotional and far too sensitive! Caring too much may lead to burnout Green can be overzealous about social causes Green can fall prey to guilt. Guilt for driving a gasoline powered car, or guilt for eating meat. For not recycling enough. Etc Green can be a little too reactionary In it's excesses Green can stifle independence and can stifle entrepreneurial spirit Sometimes Green can love to talk about spirituality but can fail to embody it. Green often talks the talk but fails to do the walk. Green can be too entitled Green can deny differences too much! Green can be too rigid or too stuck within it's own perspective. Green is characterized by being too naïve and too altruistic Green can be too trusting of Stage Red. Green can romanticize Stage Purple too much Green's empathy can be exploited and manipulated Green can fall into the doormat syndrome where you let everyone abuse you. Green can be bad with finances Green can over regulate and over tax Green can eliminate boundaries too much Green can lie, because it doesn't want to hurt the feelings of other people Green can fall into the lesser jihad! All the lofty ideals that green has, can become a distraction from the inner work that Green needs to do on himself first.
    Statistics about Green!

About 10% of the entire global population is Green! Up to 30% of the population in Western Europe and in North America is Green! About 15% of the total cultural and world influence is Green! The style of government under Green is a social network, it's human centred, has a flat hierarchy, decentralized, it's socialist/capitalist hybrid. It's liberal, globalist, it seeks to create a global community and it's a melting pot of different cultures and different ideas with tolerance for all the different elements of the pot!
    How to transcend Green?

Read in-depth about Green! Read in-depth about Yellow. Start to notice the differences between Green and Yellow! It is really important for Green to stop judging Red, Blue, Orange and Yellow. Stop demonizing corporations, stop demonizing money, stop demonizing capitalism, stop demonizing conservatives and religion Stop caring about social issues so much. Acknowledge that business is necessary Acknowledge that Green is not the highest stage. Acknowledge the problem with Green mob mentality Start thinking more for yourself Start seeing the world from the lower stages points of view Acknowledge that most of the world wasn't as lucky as you. Most people aren't as educated as you. Most people were not born in first world countries, most people didn't go to any kind of university. Acknowledge that bigots and racists and criminals are acting out of ignorance. Not because they are evil or some other label. Start studying systems thinking Acknowledge that Green's political actions is often ineffective (There is a lot of protesting, yelling and screaming but fundamentally nothing really changes) Acknowledge Green hypocrisy Stop acting self-righteous and superior Be less idealistic and be more grounded in reality Start practicing some serious solo meditation Start practicing self-inquiry Start reading Yellow and Turquoise books Study Spiral Dynamics Start studying nonduality Start deconstructing meaning, value and purpose Make sure you fully integrate Orange and not just react against it or deny it. Make sure you fully integrate Blue and Red. If you are Green and you are struggling with finances, start a business. And try to deal with all the challenges that come with running a successful business If you really want to be truly green you should first become financially independent, go create your own job, your own business, which is actually serving the community in a healthy, environmentally friendly way! Start practicing more neutrality. Notice that sometimes protesting is not enough Become a spiral wizard The master key for transcending any stage is contemplation and self-reflection. (Analyse what aspects or elements from Red, Blue or Orange you haven't fully integrated, what aspects from Green you need to act out harder in order to be more loving or to be at peace so that you can move to Yellow!)  Look to master each stage. If you are at Orange or at Blue right now, look for all the ways to master the teachings of Orange or Blue. Don't try to skip or speed run through a stage.

5meo reactivations morphing to something else
You guys need to understand how much deeper this work is than merely having an awakening experience. You have to rework your whole understanding of reality, society, mankind, and your relationship to all that.
It's not going to be this simple process of having a few awakening experiences and being done. We are talking about a decade of serious inner work at least to integrate and develop.

  23. Why even read books?
    Why even read books?
@Jayson G The ENTIRE predicament of life is the problem of distinguishing truth from falsehood.
An illusion that is entirely false is not an illusion at all. Illusion is the use of truth to deceive.

  24. Spiral Dynamics - Stage Blue Notes
Spiral Dynamics - Stage Blue Notes
Stage blue is absolutist, conformist and the rise of civilization.
Absolute belief in one right and true way. And obedience to authority.
Relies solely in belief in some higher authority. A God.
It is collectivist rather than individualistic. It seeks to be involved within the collective. It's life is intertwined with the life of the collective.
The collectivist stages work for the higher good of the collective, whereas individualistic stages work for the development of the self.
Strong emphasis on religion and the afterlife.

If you take a stage blue person, and you talk with him about these values, you are going to become his best friend.
Beware of a sneaky politician who would take all these keywords from this list and then go rallying and tell that stage blue audience everything it wants to hear. And that crowd will forever become loyal to that politician. That politician will tell them everything they believe in and everything they want to hear.

The simple fact that you are watching a video about spiral dynamics on your own volition, this puts you on the spiral into the high orange, maybe green or even low yellow, stage wise.

Also while watching this spiral dynamics video series, when you will be reading a stage's value set list, you will say in your mind, yes, that's it, this is what is good for me and the world.

If you are at stage blue, You will agree with everything on the list bellow. But if you are at a higher stage you will disagree with most of the things on this list.

    Values of stage blue
Absolute truth and ideology (They hold their ideology sacred. To them their truth is the absolute truth, there is no room for other truths, there is no room for other ideologies but the one that blue believes it is right.) Belief, faith and certainty in their set of values (There is a clear right and wrong) Stage Blue values hard work, discipline and duty. Law and order Justice ( Justice goes hand in hand with the enforcement of their truth, they want to enforce their civilization onto others, their worldview enforced onto others). Blue values hierarchy, social order and the status quo( there is no need to inovate and to be progressive. Our tradition, the way our ancestors did it is the absolute best way to live life) Blue values patriarchy ( Women are there to serve men! Men are the enforcers, they do all the hard work, and women get the benefits of that, and therefore the women should raise the childern and cook food. Women should not hold any position of power acording to blue. And this is not bad, that is the hirarchy, that's the role of the woman) Meaning and greater purpose( Blue's greater purpose is not selfish, it is to be a good citizen, to follow the rules, to be a good christian, to raise his family, or to be a good wife or a good husband, but ultimately is to serve God) Morality is huge for stage blue( A strong sense of right and wrong) Culture, Tradition and heritage( Those values are sacred to blue, they get extremely defensive when attacked on cultural or traditional ground! They need to defend to the teeth their culture and tradition and customs) Crusading for a righteous cause Serving God Theology and doctrine. Orthodoxy, dogma and conformity (Stage blue beliefs that absolute truth has been written by god himself in a book) Stage blue values family very highly Obedience and reverence Respect for your elders God and country (Patriotism, our country is the best country) Righteous living(you live your life according to principles, you have a strong moral code of conduct, you have a sense of honor Reputation (How others perceive you) Good manners, decency, dress etiquette, hair regulations, uniforms. They find profanity offensive. They find as blasphemy speaking down to authority, don't speak down to God. You need to submit to God. Blue values prayer. You pray to God for the things that you need. Blue values authority books like the Bible, the Quran, the constitution etc. Blue believes that you can write the absolute truth in a book. Pledges and allegiances, rituals and ceremonies. Very eager to obey authority, whether is the priest, the pope, mohamed, jesus, or a teacher. Blue values the afterlife. (Heaven, hell and salvation) Strict church attendance every Sunday. Blue wants extreme self control and the suppression of your emotions. Blue values charity, giving back to his community . Values loyalty and hates traitors( Traitors are people who refuse to obey the absolute truth that blue blindly follows) Blue values borders( Borders with their neighbours) Blue values integrity and good character

    When does blue emerge

Blue emerges when the limitations of red are exhausted.
    Characteristics of blue

For blue life has meaning direction and purpose, with predetermined outcomes. Blue always searches for order, security and stability Blue is trying to be concrete and likes to develop structures Dedicated, responsible and meticulous Trustworthy, predictible and loyal Righteous stable living Obedience is enforced through a sense of duty and guilt Blue tries to get rid of impure toughts from the mind. To blue the devil isn't a metaphorical symbol. It is something real. Blue is about surrendering worldly pleasures for reaching salvation for the afterlife. To blue everyone has a proper place within civilisation. Blue believes that the whole universe revolves around mankind, but not just mankind, it thinks that the only thing true in the universe is his race, his culture and his religion. Blue believes that God created the entire universe for the stage blue's culture and religion to be at the top! And rule over the ones who are different to it. Blue never questions authority, elders, religion, or teachers. Because it perceives that the former are the true carriers of the truth. Blue loves laws, regulations, and disciplining one's character. Blue enforces laws and order because otherwise we'd get chaos and anarchy. For blue reality is strictly objective. Has high rigidity, no open mindedness, and high dogma. Right and wrong are absolute, they are not social constructs. Cultural traditions and values are also absolutes, they are not social constructs. Blue has a very black and white worldview. For blue it is objectively defined what is good and what it is evil. There are no nuances. For blue you are with it or against it. Blue takes a very strict and literal approach to the interpretation of religious text. If the bible says that we should stone to death the homosexuals or the pagans, that's exactly what we should do. There is no questioning on whether this approach is a healthy approach, NO. THIS IS THE WILL OF GOD AND IT SHALL BE DONE. Blue fiercely defends religious doctrine against heresy and corruption. Blue thinks that his bible and his religion is the ultimate and absolute truth, so any deviation or any attack on his doctrine is the influence of the devil. To blue the heretics are those who try to make 'clever' interpretations of the bible. Blue is just a congregation of believers. Blue always invokes an anthropomorphic father figure god, at every situation that is happening. To blue God is a bearded man in the clouds that reigns supreme over the earth. God is a human. Because I am a human. Blue believes that there is a higher power, and that higher power wants it's civilisation to win against the heretics and the pagans. Blue believes that God wants his family to acquire more land, more wealth than the families of it's enemies. Blue believes that ultimate judgement will punish with eternal flames the wicked and the heretics and it will reward with infinite bliss all the good Christians. To blue heaven and hell aren't metaphors. They are literal places one goes after death. Blue believes that evil must be stamped out. Eradicated totally from the world. To blue God is in a grand battle against the devil. Blue is extremely judgemental with sinners. Blue rejects multiculturalism. To blue it's traditions, it's customs, it's culture is the best and all the other ones are inferior. They are lower on god's ultimate hierarchy. In blue's eyes foreigners, animals, trees and plants, and mother nature largely exists to serve stage blue mankind. To serve this one true civilisation. And everything which is not mankind shall be exploited and stripped of every resource. Blue fears the most being kicked out of his community. To be marginalized. To blue being kicked out of the church is the worst thing. It is life and death. Blue is all about conquering other lesser civilizations, about building an empire or kingdom.
    Examples of blue

The middle east Romania Russia Cult of personality Nazi Germany Palestinians Zionists Saudi Arabia Christians Muslims Iran India China Patriotism Standing up for the national anthem Monasteries The religious right wing in America Conservatives Republicans Banning abortion and birth control Building border walls Anti-Immigration Witch trials Crusades White supremacy K K K The 10 commandments Noah's Arc Uniforms Catholic and Orthodox nuns George W Bush Mike Pence The Samurai Code Hindu Religion Alex Jones Fox News The second amendment Mandatory military service Virginity pledges Nationalism Queen Victoria's England Military families Police officers, Firefighters and in general blue collar workers. Religious terrorism Spanish inquisition Spanish conquistadors When a soldier jumps on a grenade. Take one for the team. Theocracy Prayer in school The colonial south( USA) Imperial Japan Patriarchy Culture warriors 20th century Marxism(Eastern bloc of the iron curtain). Grand cathedral and temples and mosques. Unequal women's rights Demonizing homosexuals Marriage

    Statistics of blue

About 40% of the adult global population is blue. And about 30% of the cultural global influence is dominated by blue. If you live in a first world democracy you might be underestimating how much blue the world is, and even how much blue your first world country is. The style of government that comes in a state with a fully stage blue citizenry is an authoritarian regime. Very order driven, no separation between church and state, very theocratic. Always has imperialistic ambitions. To check whether a nation has outgrown blue, check if it has imperialistic ambitions or not. If it wants to expand it's current territory.
    What triggers blue
Stage Red Stage Orange Stage Green Stage Yellow Relativism and not knowing. Uncertainty. Those trigger the hell out of blue. Atheism, Secularism, Skepticism. Because this goes at the heart of everything blue stands for which is absolute truth. This calls all their ideologies into question. Relativism strips blue of all it's certainties and absolute truths that it holds so dear. It is an existential threat to them. You cannot change a stage blue person. They are also triggered by post modernism, intellectuals and academic elites. Blue is triggered by Barack Obama. (To blue Obama represents this intellectual, overly academic, overly strategic, philosophical, relativistic, complex thinker, whom is multi-cultural, cares about considering values of different societies. NO! For blue this is treason. To blue Obama is a traitor.  Obama was mostly in the green stage. And blue's sworn enemy is green. Blue hates the most stage green. Space cadets, philosophers and free thinkers. Hippies Sex Rock and heavy metal Rap music Materialism, hedonism Not fasting, not respecting the fast period, or the Ramadan Moral corruption triggers blue. Change to the traditional status quo. Changing things just for the sake of changing things. Progressivism Lawless, disorder, and anarchy. When justice is not served. When sinners get away with their sins. Lack of hierarchy. Terrorism. Multiculturalism and globalism Excessive selfishness and egotism. People who aren't willing to sacrifice for the team Disrespect for the status quo. Breaking agreements or the word given. Disloyalty to their civilization. Blue is very sensitive to traitors. A traitor is someone who betray the culture blue was indoctrinated into. Blue is triggered by the questioning of the existing orthodoxy. And by people who question classic social roles. Like the role of the woman in the household. Heresy and blasphemy Science encroaching on religion, blue is extremely sensitive when it sees the secularization of society
    Unhealthy manifestations of blue
Ideology and radical fundamentalism Very closeminded, rigid, stubborn and unwilling to evolve. Blue will be unloving to those who are not within his inner circle of blue people. Traps the mind in rigid and intolerable rigid beliefs. Belief is confused with the truth. Blue gets stuck in one paradigm and no longer can snap out of it in order to see the world from other perspectives. Very prone to mob and herd mentality. Unable to think about metaphysics. Prone to idol worship. Worships the image of Jesus rather than the more abstract and metaphorical of his teachings. Constantly under the pressure of guilt Prone to hypocrisy. Because although it preaches about morality and holy living, blue is one of the most violent, most aggressive. (You cannot substitute a belief system with genuine spiritual purification) Low tolerance for outsiders Very judgmental and demonizing. Because blue believes in objective good and evil. Can easily justify cruelty with holy scriptures Closed to innovation Blue is sexually repressed Blue societies prohibit sexual education in schools Unable to make sense of the value that other cultures exhibit Blue has a lack of intellectual curiosity about the world. Closed to mysticism and nonduality  Blue can have a lot of repressed anger Racist, Homophobic and misogynistic Can be oppressive to minorities Reads sacred text way to literally Prone to black and white thinking Prone to us vs them mentality Tends to not having compassion to the weaknesses and frailties of other people Blue is way too strict with their children, often times forcing them to adopt certain customs and traditions and codes of conduct. Blue cannot see the commonality between all the cultures and all religion Blue can be excessively bureaucratic and theocratic Prone to nationalism and communism The worst excesses of blue are genocide and ethnic cleansing

    Stage blue sayings

God gave us this land This is the way god intended it to be They will be punished in the name of Jesus Make America great again A revival of traditional values Say what you do and do what you say Just stick to the rules Actions speak louder than words Honesty is the best policy Better safe than sorry Take one for the team Blood and soil

    How to transcend stage blue

Read very deeply about stage blue, as you read about your current stage you gain self-awareness and therefore you start to observe the limitation of your current worldview. Also read in depth about the next stage which is stage orange. The thing that keeps you stuck in blue is the fact that you resist stage orange and green so much. Stop judging orange, green and yellow. Stop judging the hippies, the progressives and the liberals Stop judging the intellectuals, the elites and the globalists. Stop judging materialism and success, stop judging homosexuality Stop judging relativism, post-modernism, mysticism, new age spirituality (You are refusing to accept evolution due to the fear of the possible excesses which comes with evolution) Stop moralizing. So long you demonizing the inner demons of others you will continue to be stuck with your own inner demons. Stop clinging to tradition, let it go! Notice that all tradition eventually dies. Start thinking for yourself. Stop thinking along the rigid lines of the dogma you have been indoctrinated into. Start to question all authority. Notice that authority is often wrong, authority is often abusive. Therefore you need to become your own authority Start to notice the limitations of religion. There are much more effective ways of practicing spirituality than religion. Start to notice abuses of the church Notice that beliefs are extremely self-deceptive and that belief is not equivalent to truth and to reality. You could never capture reality within a system of beliefs. Notice that all beliefs are ultimately false and are just a creation of the human mind and that they are relative and are there only to serve the human ego. Start to be more rebellious Notice the limitations of judgments and moralism( Notice that when you are judging others you are actually judging yourself) Start to acknowledge that reality is more relative than you ever thought and this notion of absolute truth maybe doesn't exist at all. Start to acknowledge that good and evil do not exist( Notice that what you call evil, someone else calls good, and what you call good someone else calls evil, that depends on your ego and what your agenda is) Start to question whether God exists at all. Start to question what God is. Start to question your religion and culture Start to question your culture's so called exceptionalism( If you are blue you think your culture is the best) Start to notice that the hierarchy of your civilization is repressive and how it hurts other people, especially minorities. Try to put yourself in the shoes of the people who are being hurt by the hierarchy of your civilization's caste system Notice that is more fun being independent that being reliant on a culture or a set of beliefs or traditions. Start to read self-help books about success. Stop being an anal rule keeper. Relax your rules. Develop a thirst for personal success. Start to have a desire to climb the hierarchy. To get to the top. Strive to be the best at something. Notice that separation of church and state is a good thing. Notice that secularism is a good thing. You wouldn't want to live in a theocracy. Start to study history and start to study the abuses and excesses of stage blue nations throughout history. (Study the Nazis, study Hitler, Study Soviet Russia, Communism, Stalin, study the crusades, study the Spanish conquistadors) Start to see the enslavement of other races that have happened throughout history. Read and research for yourself. Develop a student mindset where you are eager to learn about anything. Read multiple perspectives. ( The problem with blue is that it surrounds itself only with other stage blue individuals and it lives in this bubble of stage blue perspectives, thus living inside an echo chamber and this way it cannot fathom the existence of other perspectives. Go to a diverse university so you get exposed to new perspectives and cultures. Start to study science Practice radical open mindedness. Notice that reality is much more complex and nuanced rather than black and white. Embrace your feminine side more Acknowledge that humans are not superior to animals Acknowledge that men are not superior to women Acknowledge that whites are not superior to any other minority And finally the master key for transcending any stage, especially stage blue, is to practice contemplation and self-reflection. Reflect on your own behavior and analyze where you are making mistakes.

  25. Jordan Peterson
    Jordan Peterson
Yes, that's one of the problems with his whole system. Same with Sam Harris.
For JP, that comes from his Blue traditionalist Christian values. Christianity is traditionally very moralistic, which is a classic case of shooting their followers in the foot.
Someone like JP cannot accept the deeper truth that all morality is a human invention and that to be truly Good you must abandon all moral ideologies. A truly conscious person does not moralize because he's conscious that evil literally does not exist and that ALL is Good so there is nothing to moralize about. Moralization is something the ego does. And you can clearly see Peterson falling into this trap with respect to the post-modernism, socialism, and stage Green as a whole.
A classic Christian, stage Blue, conservative trap.
The very reason that JP is fighting against post-modernism is because stage Green's relativism undermines all transitional notions of good vs evil. Which is correct! Those notions are human inventions! But JP does not want to bite that bullet and pass through post-modern nihilism to more advanced stages of morality, which are based on consciousness, not human ideas of good vs evil. JP feels that to admit to relativity is to open Pandora's box of chaos. Stage Blue fears chaos (stage Red). Which is why the subtitle of his book literally expresses his fear:
But this fear must be surrendered to, not fought against. Stage Green is not chaos, it's just a new, higher kind of order.
Stage Blue creates rules to keep itself from sliding into chaos. Stage Blue becomes the anal-retentive rulekeeper stereotype, which leads to all sorts of neuroses (which are well-hidden from public view through suppression).
JP has created a public identity out of fighting against chaos. Which is precisely just his own shadow.
The profound irony is that JP hasn't cleaned his own room. Which is why he's acting out in public.
The mind is a tricky beast. Especially the mind of an intellectual.
"The better the model, the bigger the problem."
Everything that's happening to JP is predicted by Spiral Dynamics, if one would just bother to study it closely. When it comes to people's behaviors and ideological positions, there's little new under the sun. There's nothing original about how conservatives behave or think. It's very robotic. Predictable like clockwork. In fact, they pride themselves on that.
