  1. I think QM has proved that materia is not what we thought it was... as Niels Bohr said:
  2. Right knowledge? That's the path of "union" with the absolute?
  3. What would you say is necessary to grasp the absolute? Being quiet?
  4. Ok, I learned a new word today. I never heard that one before. I thought he was trying to say "insane"
  5. Oh, lol... English is my second language. I thought he was making a mistake. My bad... I will check that word.
  6. And he made a grammatical mistake (inane/insane), so everything he wrote must be wrong.
  7. My two cents. I agree with @Spiral I think that the one who can't experience nothingness as in deep sleep is the ego. Awareness is always there. Because there's nothing to experience it seems like a gap in consciousness. But, consciousness also appears in awareness. They are not the same, at least in vedanta teachings. The ego can't experience nothingness, we believe we are the ego that's why we think in deep sleep we lose consciousness, and we think awareness is not constant. But we don't experience awareness, awareness is experiencing "us".
  8. You are doing a problem of nothing. But whatever... have a good life.
  9. You are now derailing everything. It was a short joke. Don't come here making yourself the "on topic" nazi hahaha... Oh my god. Bye.
  10. I had a reason to quote Jesus, it wasn't just because I wanted to do it. It is on topic. Sorry if you don't get it.
  11. Ok, that was a discussion I had with some people who is from vedanta. They say that you are aware of nothing. Because there's nothing that's what you "remember" when you wake up... no thing. But... I don't still have a position on that and I don't know how to know it, because I think I am a person.
  12. @Outer I think everything is on topic. We were talking about Jesus because he said things that have to do with this topic. I watched the first episode and you can read my post here:
  13. In deep sleep awareness is aware of nothing... not-a-thing. Awareness is there without any object, just aware of itself. IMO.
  14. That's Jesus opinion about this: For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her deeds."
  15. Watching it right now. :-) I watched the first episode. And I was going to say that is good to see it with an open mind. At least the first episode shows that Osho's idea was really good. There's testimony of people who were with him, they are the main "actors" in this doc. They went to talk with Sheela that was her most immediate secretary, helper, advisor, etc. She is telling us her version of the events. I don't see something biased against Osho in the documentary, at least in the first episode. What I am trying to say is that everyone will have his own interpretation. I am seeing it and I don't see nothing wrong about the Ashram Osho's did. I wouldn't go to a place like that, but because I don't think is my path to be there in a commune. But for others can be good. IDK. There's parts where they show Osho handcuffed. You have to options... one is to think "Did you see? I was right! Osho was an impostor!" Or you can think... "Ok, maybe he was a threat to society and someone made a trap to send him to jail" You don't have to assume without even watching it that is something bad against him. It is not. And I wanted to add that I think Osho's teachings are really good and mindbending. But I also want to know all aspects of his life. Because is really an awesome life that he had. I didn't have idea he was such a powerful leader.
  16. Ok, that makes a bit more sense to me... anyway is a topic I would like to understand more deeply. :-)
