  1. @egoless I really like your skepticism and I totally agree with that most people on this forum are just repeating believes when it comes to the enlightenment stuff. If you want to read a really good book about how consciousness and reality are related read: Why materialism is baloney, from Bernardo kalstrup. Really genius book explaining why it makes sense for consciousness to be the foundation of everything. It also goes into why we are not experiencing everything all the time. made all this spiritual stuff a lot more tangable for the rational part of my psyche. It's an epic book! Really really recomend it

  2. Yeah but that's still different from an AI that is actually smarter than us. This is still specific tasks that the AI will be able to do better or more cheeply. This would still just be sophisticated technology in my eyes. I'm actually amazed how many jobs still exist now. You wouldn't think there would be enough work for all these billions of people. Quite a mindfuck actually. But what got me thinking is can AI actually become creative, self-reflective, have a vision for the future, start a business etc. Cause then all of us could be truly major league fucked. You get singularity and all that fun stuff(when AI can make itself smarter). I mean than we would be just stupid animals in the AI zoo best case scenario. Or maybe there are limits to logical intelligence, I mean @Leo Gura talks about tapping into infinite intelligence through mediation and spirituality. Anyway, it's actually super fascinating stuff. Too bad our lives depend on the outcome ;).

  3. So I just watched a video in which Mo Gawdat said that AI will be smarter than us by 2029.

If this is really true than this would totally disrupt most of our long-term planning ofcourse. All of your career capital means nothing. AI is better at it then you.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this? I'm especially interested in what @Leo Gura has to say about this. Because you he has not really talked about
AI much in his video's and he talks about the state of science and humanity for the next 100/200 years.

If this AI business is true than it would seem that humanity might not have that long any more.

Love to hear everyone's thoughts on this stuff!

  4. @aurum yeah I think that's a very good idea. Provided you have the actual knowledge ;). I actually followed a business course here in Amsterdam that was supossed to be for conscious entrepeneurs. However it became clear to me that the people giving the course where not really conscious. They were just very good at marketing themselves as conscious and spiritual etc. Still they had some pretty valuable business insights that were good. But yeah, it was kind of painfull to see how cynically these people used their image as being conscious and spiritual just to make money.

  5. @Gligorijeyeah I wouldn't start a podcast or a youtube channel if you have nothing to say yet. First get some life experience/expertise. Become really good at socializing would be my advice. Super critical skill and really fun to learn. Also good to get the whole 'getting laid' thing out of the way as quickly as possible. BTW super awesome that you are meditating at your age already. Really really good stuff!

  6. This thread for starting entrepeneurs (like me) to get some business idea's.

Figurred people can benefit from seeing what people would actually be willing to pay for and what there problems are.

So the idea is to post:

    1. the biggest problems you are experiencing right now in your life,

    2. what kind of product you would like to buy to solve these problems and

    3. what would be the dream product you would like to buy

products can be both material, info-products, face to face coaching whatever.

    I'll start.

    1. not knowing how to do effective marketing when starting out, not knowing how effectively network, not knowing how to grow a following on social media, not having great sales skills (yeah pretty big list eh ;) ) not comming up with enough creative enough business idea's.

    2. I would buy both an online product and/or a in real life product if I knew it was high quality for getting better at: how to do effective marketing when starting out,  how to get creative business idea's and how to network effectively.

    3. The how to bootstrap your own bussiness from A to Z online product. Not with ready-made business idea's (totally not interested in that) but more all the general idea's and skills. So the how-to's with many many many detailed examples of how people did it etc. Furthermore a community would be nice too.

But I would love many hyper detailed 'rags to riches' stories. That's one thing that the pick up industry has really nailed in my opinion in regards to succes in dating.

Anyway, let me know your list!!

@Paulus Amadeus That's right. You can look forward to an infinite number of times being raped, murdered, and abused. And you can also look forward to an infinite number of times being loved, caressed, wowed, overjoyed, etc.

You will experience every experience possible.

When this really sinks into your mind, you will weep like a baby. And you will also understand why nonduality is so fucking radical that no one wants to accept it. It's way too much to accept.

The Absolute will simultaneously awe you and scare the shit out of you.

Just think about this for a moment: there are 39 million cows slaughtered every year in the USA. You, as God, will experience each of those slaughterings personally, with your own throat. And that's just cows, in this country, on this planet, in one year. There are 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars in the universe with planets similar to ours, with who knows what kinds of creatures committing what kinds of acts of violence against one another. And the universe has 14 billion years in it. And this is just one out of an infinite number of universes!

And suddenly you start to see the scope of God.

@Leo Gura here you seem to break with Buddhist philosophies right. According to which enlightenment would be the end of all this suffering? But yeah it makes a lot of sense that if everything is one than you are always still in some way experiencing being 20 million cows slaughtered who are suffering etc.  Because there is only that one thing, so if a point of view within that thing got enlightened it wouldn't matter at all from the absolute point of view. Still that begs the question why enlightenment would do us any good then? Especially if your current point of view is better than most of the point of views within reality. Better stick with your point of view and ride it out right? But I'm sure I'm missing some understanding here.

  8. so according to Leo reality = absolute infinity. So everything possible is happening all at once always.

I'm not sure I've understood this correctly but that would mean that:

    * there are infinite 'dimensions' where  you are being horribly raped in a basement right now

    * there are infitite 'dimensions' where  you are living your absolute dreamlife right now

This seems quiet horrific and quiet cool at the same time. Depending on how you weigh the positive against the negative.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this stuff?
