Leo Gura replied to LfcCharlie4's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@LfcCharlie4 It's a complex topic I don't want to elucidate via a forum post. I'll do a video about capitalism vs socialism at some point. -
Wow, another doozy:

@LfcCharlie4 Most of you guys need lots of basic self-help. So neglect at your peril. Learn to crawl before you try to fly.

Perhaps the biggest problem is that socialism is turned into ideology with people parroting it without any independent contemplation of how economics and government works. -
Ultimately you won't be able to do Self-Love without some deep awakenings and a transformation of your baseline state of consciousness. You must do practices like Kriya yoga to purify your body and mind. Thinking about love is not gonna cut it.

Yes, but there will still be conflict and problems. Tier 2 is all rainbows and butterflies and everybody hugging each other. The reason I posted in this thread at all is to disabuse you guys of such fantasies.

This is not the way. Do not look for definitions or theories. Do not create anything. Observe your judgments directly. Observe patiently. This is the way. What a thing is can only be observed. What you think about what it is, is certainly not what it is.

Out beyond all beliefs, there is a field. I'll meet you there. -

It is precisely how it feels. Nothing more, nothing less. Don't try to locate it in 3D space. Rather just feel it exactly as it feels. That's it. It's going to feel amorphous, vague, and mysterious. Keep your awareness right on top of that. Don't try to turn it into something concrete or visual. Pain is not visual. Its vagueness is part of what it is. -
That's not a bad idea The only true forum is no forum.

Self-Love is a very high-level abstraction. Brandon's self-esteem is more mundane and nitty-gritty because you cannot just tell people "self-love" and expect them to grow from that. They wouldn't know how to actualize it. Also, Brandon never realize how deep self-esteem goes because he never had the necessary mystical experiences to access Self or Love. So his work cannot take you to the highest God level. But it's still great for ordinary people who aren't advanced enough yet to reach God level. Notice that his work hinges on rasing one's awareness. AKA raising consciousness. But he never tells you what consciousness is. It's LOVE!

If you're reading for depth -- which you should be -- nothing beats a paperback. But audios are good for when you're multitasking. And some of the most important books are not available in audio at all. Would be a shame to miss those out of laziness.

No. What I said does not require punishment, just deterrence. A murder doesn't need to be punished, just stopped from murdering. How you stop him is up for debate. Human morality is guided by a tiny connection to Absolute Goodness, which is then corrupted and hijacked by the ego-mind to further its survival. If Absolute Goodness is the sun, human morality is like a moth flying in circles around a candle flame. -
There's no limit. Beyond your wildest imaginations. But people will probably kill you if you get too pushy. Progress is a slow and painful process. That's my point. You're not appreciating how pervasive survival is. Survival is always needed (if you care to survive, and you certainly do, otherwise you wouldn't care about being in a commune to begin with). There cannot be any kind of stabled formed experience without survival. Survival needs are what make a commune less than utopian. You can certainly find some decent high-consciousness communes, but they will still have many common social problems. Or even worse, they could be toxic cults behind the scenes.

She is a well-known right-wing hack, part of Ben Shapiro's squad. Along the lines of Tomi Lahren, who spews verbal diarrhea.

We got a horror of self-love living in the White House But be careful to distinguish Self-Love from self-love.

Hahaha! Guess again. You are not going to escape social survival that easily. You already live in a commune. It's called society. It is messy and dirty precisely because that's what social survival looks like. Survival is a dirty business and not even awakened people are above it, assuming they care to survive. Any social arrangement is gonna get complicated very quickly. You have to be willing to play that game. If not, go live in a cabin in the woods, or just an apartment. The closest thing to utopia will be a cabin in the woods, far away from people. Assuming you are conscious enough to handle that.

@Lento You speak of things you are not sufficently conscious of. Less preaching, more contemplating for you.

@Corpus Nothing you say contradicts what I said. Form is infinite and DMT is just more form. Vista is form. Amazing form is still form. -

Explanation of Infinity is impossible! That's what you're not understanding. You cannot explain reality because reality is prior to explanation. Any attempt to explain reality is incomplete and ultimately wrong. God cannot explain itself to itself because it is itself. -

@Rinne It's just like waking up from a dream. If you wake up deep enough, no illusion or parts will remain. But that's a rare thing. Few people awake up that deep. -

Goodness is an Absolute. But this has almost nothing to do with human morality so I hesitate to even say it in this context due to the likely misunderstanding. -
I think you're being too picky. Anna is doing a decent job overall. Gotta give people some leeway or it turns into a circular firing squad. If you are progressive she's on your team. Sure, you can find things to criticize about her. But is this really a good use of your time?

I'm not clear on what that means exactly, but it sounds in the right ballpark.
