Shouldn't reality be much more simple?

46 posts in this topic

Good post.

Only logic is complex. If logic is your reality, it will seem complex.

People adopt many systems for making sense of reality; faith, philosophy, religion, science, math, logic, etc. But none of them ultimately work and they have to be dropped. None of these were meant to be used to explain reality as a whole, although they can be useful in other ways. Their usefulness is being misinterpreted as something that can explain reality at an experiential and metaphysical level.

"God is not a conclusion, it is a sudden revelation. When you see a rose it is not that you go through a logical solipsism, "This is a rose, and roses are beautiful, so this must be beautiful." The moment you see it, the head stops spinning thoughts. On the contrary, your heart starts beating faster. It is something totally different from the idea of truth." -Osho

Unfortunately I´m alone in this forum lmao. Nobody understands me.

Another Solipsism proof. Just kidding. Let's not start that debate. But just so you know most people here feel the same at one point or another, so don't take credit for that misunderstanding. The irony of it all.

Thought = Time. Without thought there's no time. Death is the end of the illusion.

the egoless one. Within an infinite library of projections which have always existed as part of itself, it picked one to experience

Everything is a projection of consciousness, including the ego's mental world (perceptions, thoughts, feelings). Projections cannot choose to be otherwise from what's projected. The natural state is empty of any "mental world", it's pure awareness with no movement. Anything that moves or flows or changes is part of the projection and thus illusory and ultimately devoid of freedom.

This might be one of the most accurate and succinct quotes I've ever read about what reality is, how our natural state is: "The natural state is empty of any "mental world", it's pure awareness with no movement. Anything that moves or flows or changes is part of the projection and thus illusory and ultimately devoid of freedom."

However, why do you say the the projection is "ultimately devoid of freedom"? What are you basing that argument on? Doesn't it seem more plausible just like ocean waves where the vectors of the waves flow naturally and unpredetermined, our choices and actions give rise to new sets of choices ad infinitum?

Kinda like a those old Choose Your Own Adventure books?
