What’s your excuse?

Tonight I coached someone with literal autism and on a government disability pension to cold approach.

They spend most of their day in their apartment, alone with only online friends playing games.

He had two calibrated, friendly, healthy conversations, made people laugh after hours of me debunking his excuses to not cold approach and demonstrating getting rejected talking to people and coming away unscathed.

This guy with a literal intellectual disability is more proactive than some people in this forum thread at building his social life. We listened to an autism specific socialising podcast before going out, then went to a club and had a go at practicing.

If you don’t have an intellectual disability and you’re complaining about your social life you are SERIOUSLY taking your ability for granted.

Cold approach won't necessarily heal their autism. But good work nonetheless I guess.

No one even thought it will.

Yeah you debunked his excuses to not go to jail, jail is a nice place there's really no objective metric to decide that it's worse than being free... but the upside is him having a single conversation.

Well when you spend a lifetime transcending human desires you sort of end up accomplishing that
