Self-development Through Plastic Surgery. Possible?

9 posts in this topic

I've been getting back into music making through guitar and electronic production and was seeing what some of the younger musicians were doing.  I started watching this one lady's Indy electronic interviews and discussions she had on YouTube.  I looked at her face & her I though her nose was very straight & odd.  I figured maybe she was born like that.  I didn't think much about it.

Like with most beautiful women, the comment section was filled with typical one-track minded guys talking with their trousers warming their ankles.

So as I went backwards in time on the videos & discussions to watch her creative process & the gear she used, just a few years ago, a place showed her apartment & "Holy Shit", it was like I was staring at an entirely different human being!!!  The previous form of this human being was not as pretty as the one I'd been watching.  However, after seeing the old version, I thought the new version looked entirely fake.

After watching that video of her "before" face & then watching some afterwards, I could no longer listen to what she was saying.  I was completely put off by the fact that the face I was looking at was a surgical creation...done for no reason than vanity.  And also hearing in that last interview how the discussion went from music production to the dull world of money & business (the kind where you sign other artists & take a cut off the top or commission).  I had to stop watching her & this transformative process from ugly, music producing person to beautiful, business/money-oriented person.  I daresay I found it quite repulsive.

At any rate, I recall Leo saying as one of his missions was to get us to improve ourselves in such a way that in 10 years time, we would no longer recognise ourselves!  I can't think of any other more extreme measure in personal transformation than getting plastic surgery!  I mean, once your face is altered, you're treated differently in the environment.  For instance, in the above example, the woman went from no real comments about her looks in her normal form, to every guy wanting to fuck her & saying so in the comments section.   Her looks "trumping" her talents by offering an improved illusion of flesh.

It's not something I've normally seen with someone so young before either.  But I was curious: does it work?  If you get your face fucked with by the knife, wouldn't that lead to unrecognizable transformative effects?   I'm sure there's a lot of risks, but you see shit-tons of people doing it.  Like tattoos I guess.  Anyone know anyone with positive plastic surgery effects to self-development?   Maybe we should get nose jobs?   hahaha.

Transformation in appearance is sometimes a big change in life because many people do not like their own appearance, let's be honest. I also didn't like my face a couple of years ago and that's why I went to sarasotasurgicalarts.com which are practiced just in this case. I was very impressed with what I saw in the mirror after the operation. it seems to me that it is very important to find good specialists with considerable experience in this business because this is your face and you will have to live with it all your life

Already had a simmilar post. Skim through this to find some anwsers.

Edit: look into "mewing" at Orthropics Youtube channel. You literally change the shape of your cheekbones and jawline by working on your tongue and neck posture.

Would you say its okay to transform your face this way, but not with a scalpel?

What about braces, makeup, going to the gym, dressing tight / etc.

All of these influence the way you interact with people.

Truth is, looks matter in society, to a degree. Surgery? If you want, ok. Just be mindfull of where to draw the line.

My goal was always to feel confident however I looked. As long as I look socially acceptable. Took some time of self improvement but it was totally worth it. In the end it won't matter, if you will look better after a surgery that's nice. You will anyways have to remove all insecurities and fears if you want to experience life the best way possible. If this helps one stepping stone then do it. I just felt I should do it the right way and overcame it all. I couldn't have been prouder of myself. Today in not a long time ago I can finally experience the highest forms of happiness whenever I want to. I have awakened. Reason people aren't in this actual natrual state is because of all the fears etc.

I think it's mostly the same thing as people who try to attain material wealth for happiness.

It might work for some people sometimes. I enjoy buying stuff sometimes for sure. But many people probably got a lambo or a nose job and are still miserable. And then think well maybe if i get this and that done, then i'll be happy. And in the end they Michael Jackson'd themselves.

How strange, no one replied to this topic in 2017?

It's at first horrific and then incredibly liberating to realize that this is all a façade that no one gets to judge and no one else is judging anyway. What should we do about that?

Why even be body concious? You can't even see your own face, if you want to look good you should do it so it is pleasant for others to look at you. My body is just a vessel that I use, and I want my vessel to look good and have cut nails and shaved beard, nice clothes and a okay hairstyle/haircut but that is minimum work, why spend more time on something so trivial. It is just not always worth it to do any extra effort. I don't do it for myself but for others, it's the same as brushing your teeth, I do it so my gum/mouth won't hurt/feel bad but I will only spend the minimum effort to achieve the results which feels good enough for the served purpose, similarly goes for appearance.
