he dishes out on cancel culture etc.

That was pretty funny, liked his jokes about Apu, privilege, Trump, covid etc.

also some creepy stuff in there though :)

I usually don't take Indian stand up comedians very seriously. They're considered right wing-ish in my country and it's the right wing-ish people who generally tend to watch and laugh at their not-so-funny jokes.

Indian stand up comedians are very tactless, dummy, lazy, ignorant and shallow.

And right wing-ish = asshole-ish is my connotation of such things if you understood what I'm trying to hint at.

the last part of weinstein etc. i mean i got the point that he was trying to make but that part wasn't funny enough

the funniest joke imo was

"i don't think you should yell at people for not being vaccinated"

*some in the audience cheer*

"here they are get 'em"

*non-vaccinated audience scared*

@PurpleTree I remember my ex boyfriend telling me once - comedy is a way of openly saying forbidden things.

it certainly is a way to test boundaries and push people

but i think it's also healing for a society

especially a mixed society with a turbulent history like the u.s.

imo people like eddie murphy, chris tucker, dave chappelle, bill burr etc etc. did a loooot for race relations and understanding

even though trump came after that but doesn't matter i'm trying to make a point here :/

so i think it's great that there are now also indian etc. comics who can talk about their experience, as long as they're funny

also looved sarah silverman back when she was "edgy" for example, i understood what she was doing and that it was an act but she became kind of lame with trump, seems like she lost a lot of her humour

You do realize that this forum is full of racists right?  They don’t care as long as they are entertained.
