Certainly no unhappiness, in a way. No saying no to or looking away from what arises. It is bliss, really, but it was always that way -- I can't explain that.

 yes, because the one practicing is the illusion of self thinking it's going to get somewhere.

It's just a pointer right, there's nothing more to that than read it, get confused and continue to think about "how to I get there" even though it's a pointless chase. 

 yes and it's pointless because the one chasing it isn't real.

I feel like a lot of radical nondualists are like a mysterious oracles you just poke and it gives you another pointer?

The pointer is that the individual looking for just the right pointer is unreal.
