Seriously though, I need to make this my fucking mantra. Having been unlucky enough to be born into a hyper-neurotic bourgeois German family (ironically, my mother used to be a teacher of psychology and pedagogy... go figure), I have constantly been shamed for all of my shortcomings as a kid and pretty much grew up believing that my base worth as a human being was somewhere below zero; suffice to say that to this day, I fear failure in any area of life more than death itself.

Sometimes failure hits very hard. It becomes even harder to collect  shits and stand again. What if it breaks a person permanently? We see people succumbing to sever depression. Is it sort of weakness or a part of the system?
