Porn is essentially pointless.

First I just want to start off with, I am an 36 yo virgin and I'm not anti porn nor am I pro porn.

Sometimes I wonder what is really the point of porn? I mean all you're doing is watching adults have sex but that'll cause frustration because you're not having sex yourself.

Sometimes we just have to ask ourselves what's the point of watching somebody else have sex when when the viewer is not having sex themselves?

I recently watched a documentary about climbing Mt. Everest. It was awesome. I’ve also seen videos on sky diving, scuba diving, space exploration and traveling through Nepal that were super cool as well.

Its like the junk-food for your sexuality. Instant gratification, extremely accessible (like cheap, widespread fast food), hits your feel good receptors for a quick spike but then crash later (like processed sugar) doesn't have the essential nutrients you need (love, connection from real sex) so it depletes your energy and deteriorates your health.

Take the slow, steady long term gratification instead. That being said its not evil or bad, and doing it in moderation isn't going to kill you, you just have to peg it for what it is.

Although I wasn’t actually climbing Mt Everest, scuba diving or trekking Nepal, the videos were super cool.

Well nothing is better than having an actual woman in front of you.

People have casual sex all the time and there are no love, connection in that.

All those take skills to do.

Sex doesn't take any skill. We all have it as a natural instinct.

If that were true, there wouldn't be incels or lame sex.

If I'm productive, I don't even think about sex for days, weeks even.

The amount of energy you get is ridiculous at first, then you adapt, but you clearly can feel the difference if you fap again.

Curing this addiction that is considered normal (fapping), was the second best thing I ever did ?

Incels are involuntarily celibate (in part because they lack skills). And if you’ve never had lame sex, good for you.

A solo porn session with great imagination is much better than a lame one night stand without any substance and chemistry, ime.

There are different skill levels with sex, just like there are different skill levels of athletes.

There are techniques you can practice with sex and get better at. For example, giving oral to a woman, or a woman riding a man - there’s a skill, a finesse, a rhythm to these sexual acts that can improve over time. And after you’ve been with different partners with varying skills, you can observe the difference. Even staying with one partner, you can improve your ability to give pleasure based on feedback and thus, improve your skill. You can also get better at tuning into non-verbal cues as to what your partner enjoys. It’s an intuitive skill you can develop, being able to read what your partner enjoys in the moment without them actually having to use normal language. There are a lot of details to sex you can improve upon. This has been my experience anyways.

Do you have a girlfriend or wife?

Yes, we wouldn't need to masturbate if we had a spouse of our own.

Sex in not a skill. Do don't have to go to school to know how to have sex.

You need to masturbate because you're addicted to it.

You would still be addicted with a wife.

The only difference would be that you would use your wife vagina instead of tissues to satisfy your insatiable addiction.

There is zero need to masturbate if you live your life with passion and aren't addicted to the rush of dopamine from porn and ejaculation ?

There's no such thing as involuntary celibacy, you ether choose to be celibate or not.

Name some of the skills of sex.
