Happy vs meaningfull life

5 posts in this topic

Which is the most valuable persuit?

Why creating a meaningfull life often seems to take us away from happines?

Or more precisely, why does it feel that it is taking us to hell?

How can we find true meaning on the darkest times?

How can we practically live a meaningfull life, on the midst of our darkest times? When meaning seems to be lost?

Pick 1 or more questions, and lets debate :D

By realizing the light of dark and the dark of light.

Become your best friend instead of (by default) being your own worst enemy.

"Know thyself". Know your authentic self.

When you succeed in that, you will have both happiness and meaningfulness altogether.

Which is the most valuable pursuit?  You get to decide. You’re Happiness, the arbitrator of value.

Why creating a meaningfull life often seems to take us away from happines?  Same as saying ‘getting lost in thought’, “away” from sensations. Same as saying ‘doing what you think you want, vs what you actually really want’. Same as saying ‘are you creating from fear or love’. Also the same as ‘truth & delusion’ (assumed meaning / identification in the ten thousand things, forgetting the self). Same as saying ‘’the difference between “meaning”, and Meaning’. Perhaps a reconsideration of terms, in the sense ‘meaningful life’ is happiness, happiness is meaningful life.

Or more precisely, why does it feel that it is taking us to hell? Because of your relative ‘meanings’, and ease (conditioning) of disregarding your true self, known via sensations, resulting in “it’ing“ in the same fashion as “othering”. “Hell” is the result of the delusion / “forgot state” / separate self, perspective. There’s no real hell, and no real “it”. Scrutinize & inspect all your “it’s” and there’s no more hell. “It” is a place holder for things about ourselves yet to be examined. “Hell” is not impervious to scrutiny.

How can we find true meaning on the darkest times? Self discovery.

How can we practically live a meaningfull life, on the midst of our darkest times? When meaning seems to be lost? Realize it was never had and you’re free of “loss”. “Darkest times” is made up meaning. It’s a perspective. Self discovery is the way.
