I once asked Shinzen Young how he would react if his child was killed? He said, "I would weep."

Be careful with your fantasies of enlightenment.

When I was studying with Shinzen, he told us once that if you want to know if you have a real teacher observe what he does when someone takes his shoes off the shoe rack.  I think that goes to the "reactivity" and "trigger" element.

Naw but seriously. Enlightenment has nothing to do with being triggered. This is a a misnomer all these dudes pick up reading about "Enlightened" dudes and they glorify them and expect them to be automatically the most mature amazing most grounded human beings on the earth.  In truth enlightenment is purely its own entity.  The other stuff has nothing to do with it.  Sauron was Enlightened as fuck but he chose to do evil.

Totally agree.

Refinement of the human happens, but this ideal of being completely trigger free is like religious perfectionism.

Right.  It isn't perfectionism. Although if you are enlightened you do have a responsibility.  And if you choose to neglect that then that is on you. But the point is it isn't a a ticket to maturity.

This is something I don't understand.

If someone wakes up, why would they then choose to go in the wrong direction.

Doesn't seem to make sense

Oneness I guess. If you realize you're one with everything then you are one with everything.  There isn't be a wrong direction if you literally are every possible direction.  That's where Leo talks about morality really being an illusion in the Absolute sense.  One could get lost in this. But ultimately there is ultimate Goodness.

You didn't miss it. I tried to for a long time to see Absolute Goodness as something that wasn't biased.  And I failed.  Being evil just doesn't feel right..right? Do you choose the dark side hehe  it's all One afterall.

The 2nd time I tried Ayawaska, many years ago, I had this experience where it felt like these really dark beings were trying to get me to come with them. I was terrified, it felt like my soul was on the line. And then i said to them, no in this life i am for the light. And then immediately the dark beings vanished, and I found myself in heavenly bliss floating in a beautiful river.
