New realization about good looks.

A woman can become a status symbol that can be valued more highly than the material possessions which typically demonstrate a man's status. Often underneath wealth acquisition is this uncomfortable truth... many men do not want to admit this.

A woman's value can be reduced to what her presence communicates about the man. Using a woman's attractiveness for ones status is where the trouble lies. When she is used as a form of male status competition.

Valuing a partners attractiveness isn't a problem as much as using the partner for status is.

@Natasha Tori Maru Yeah using a woman as as a status symbol and prestige is quite something interesting. Because if you haven't had the trauma of lack, you wouldn't appreciate the luxury of excess.

You know like you cannot flex on someone who has more or like you. You can only flex on people who have less than you. And making it out of lack, is fucking beautiful. So i wouldn't say using women's attractiveness for prestige or status is inherently wrong. It can be legitimate and a sign of success over one's miserable start in life.

@Olaf Most girls i talk to are fairly low intelligence by in large. Same with guys. So if you're intelligent, which is quite common on this forum, then finding a girl that is intelligent in real life, is hugely attractive and perfect for long term compatiblity. It almost equals looks in importance.

But the thing is intelligence is only attractive to intelligence, because like recognize like. Any fool can see beauty, only a wise man can see a woman rich in soul and wisdom.

It can be from the woman's perspective.

I wouldn't appreciate being used in such a way. I make it a point to avoid such men who play status games.

@Natasha Tori Maru You're clearly privileged for not seeing the beauty of making it out the hood. Lmao there's a reason why everyone talks about this stuff. It's real.

You have no idea where I came from, or how far I have come. You're assumptions are incorrect.

@Natasha Tori Maru Relax shawty, just acted on instinct and told you what came to mind. Don't take it personal.

You made a personal judgement about my background and privilege. Don't try to wiggle away from this.

Make no mistake, I am not perturbed here. But your interactions went from disagreement with me, to inferring I had some deficiency in understanding based on background. This is uncharitable.

@Majed Do you think using a partner as a form of status hierarchy can be conformity?

There's different degrees to it.

Like the way rappers like Kanye when he was with Kim Kardashian. It was basically 100% status signaling and nearly  0% emotional connection. It's possible and even likely some connection developed with time. But it seemed more like signaling to the world "I'm with the hottest b... on the planet!" Which makes sense for a someone unconsciously playing out the grandiose rap star image.

But at the same time men are willing to have sex with less attractive women but not be in a relationship with them. Which is another form of this dynamic.

You'd have to be pretty damn high consciousness to escape it entirely. Which is its own form of liberation and true intimacy.

@PenguinPablo Yes and it is important to observe women are also participating in a similar mate status hierarchy also. Flaunting their mans talent in resource accumulation. Same game, but different domains across the sexes.

You want to get mindfucked about appearance ?
Here we go:
Appearance isn't purely genetic, it's largely in your control.
Think of it in this way: any hot girl, if she becomes obese, stop putting on makeup, dressing well, eye lenses, mascara, perfume, etc...
She loses her hotness.
Same with guys, any guy that becomes obese loses his good looks. Now any guy who work on his physique, dresses well, put on perfume, have a nice haircut, etc... becomes automatically better looking.
Now this is just looks, but attraction isn't just looks as it is a combination of multiple things that you can all develop and work on.
The bottom line is nobody is stopping you from becoming a hot shot that the opposit sex dreams off if you work on yourself.

The thing is, for a hot girl to become obese, it's not enough for her to just eat junk food. She'd have to damage her body on such a deep level that she'd completely wreck the way it functions. Because naturally, her body works so well that it burns and uses energy in the most efficient way possible.

I've seen insanely hot girls eat like shit and do coke for years, and they still stay just as hot. And I've also seen fat girls eat their five servings of fruits and vegetables a day, only to see barely any results.

And as for the rest, ask a hundred men if they'd rather fuck a supermodel in the mud or a fat girl who's dressed really well and smells amazing.

The way you come to terms with genetic inequalities isn’t by telling yourself that you can somehow compensate for that unfair advantage in the realm of survival. That’s simply not true. You’ll never be able to make up for an inequality as fundamental as genetics, no matter how many resources you have.

The way you find peace with that injustice is by understanding that happiness doesn’t lie in survival. You’ll never beat Brad Pitt in the realm of survival, but you can surpass Brad Pitt in the divine realm.

And that fact might restore a little bit of justice to something that can seem incredibly unfair. But even then, it won’t be easy, because Brad Pitt is no noob in the divine realm either. Just because someone is a genius in the realm of survival doesn’t automatically mean they’re a noob in the divine realm.

Hence quality over quantity.

But you have to stop trying to compete with other apes in all the ape games.

Which isn't easy for the ego to reconcile.

At least not for mine.

But the quality of your relationships will go up not just exponentially but infinitely.

@Natasha Tori Maru I think it's the opposite of conformity. Conformity is having a normal relationship.

Participating in status hierarchy games are one of the biggest conformist behaviours there is.
