How to be effective in conversational Spanish?

5 posts in this topic

I can’t travel to Spain or Mexico right now but my career in the US prefers if I speak Spanish.
I tried Duolingo and one on one online lessons.

I was wondering if anyone here learned Spanish and what was the best way for you to learn it?
thanks.

I learned basic spanish at work(A2 to B1) because like half of our clientele speak little to no english. Just brute force with memorizing like 25 common phrases along with what I remembered in highschool.  If ur in the USA it shouldnt be that hard to find some native spanish speakers. There are also websites that you can pay some poor guy in a 3rd world country like 5 or 10 bucks for an hour of lesson. I honestly bet even chatting with an AI 10-20 minutes a day would be pretty helpful

Go somewhere Spanish, buy a course that goes from basics to advanced, and speak to a tutor for 2-3 hours a week.

I did it with youtube videos mostly, translating songs at the beginning, also tv shows and movies are great. Good luck fam!
