@Inliytened1  a Religion is one organized expression or pathway of spirituality. Both seek God or the divine . Religion is a sub field of spirituality . Drop Judaism and Yahweh aside . It’s the most Cartoonish religion I’ve ever come across , exclusive personified species for the Israelis . I’m talking Sufism , Gnostics , Buddhism , Hinduism etc .

What if I told you that true spirituality wasn't seeking? I mean who is that seeks? I'm not sure if you are trying to catch me in something or you are serious.  But not even Sulfism, Taoism, or Buddhism is true spirituality.  True spirituality is just pure actuality.  But those do kinda get at what it's about more than others.

There can be overlap . Studying actuality is supposedly the job of empirical science.  Spirituality is seeking actuality but using different approaches.

It's like they are looking for that which is hidden in plain sight. You don't need to pray for God. You just have to BE. Right? I mean God is right here. So why do we think he is away in some mystical realm

Well that's the whole rub. You can't seek actuality because it's already right here.  That's why enlightenment is so rare.

Good point. I would say you have to meet people at their level of development. Not everyone are highly conscious and intelligent enough . That’s why there are esoteric and mystical sects in every religion. Basically mainstream religion is a spirituality for dummies and mysticism is spirituality for advanced people.

Spirituality: God = oneness, non duality. No relationship

Religion: God = supreme conscious being (dual). Your relationship to God

Spirituality: Emphasis on direct experience, beliefs should be questioned 

Religion: Emphasis on beliefs, irregardless of experience, beliefs should not be questioned 

That’s why religious people always ask “do you believe in/what you believe in?” as if that’s the default and only way to approach things in life….Many people are like this, but extra common in religion it seems. I feel off answering the question like so because it’s not accurate to how I go about things, because I focus on what I experience, not what I believe, it’s not so important to me, simply put…

This is good but in the first line are you going to place a disclaimer in parenthesis.  "Careful - do not take Oneness as a belief. Or non-duality. And do not pass go without collecting 100 dollars). 

Oh the Dao is not the Dao that is spoken of.   Even my speaking of actuality has gone too far
