Why are we all here

What created God,

If God is truly God it could create itself from nothing. And there you have it.  The answer to whether the chicken or the egg comes first.  God is the ultimate strange loop. Creating itself from nothing.  So you are right. Nothing and God must be identical.

My post was more why this dream above others.  Yes. This thing is real. And its detailed. But as @Elliot eloquently points out it could be one among an infinite amount of others. So why is this one special.

What do you personally think about his hypothesis?

Ironically with all of Leo's ranting against science, I think the scientific method is our best tool to make sense of reality. Mysticism must be combined with science to produce the greatest insights and understanding of reality; otherwise we cannot figure out who is saying delusional nonsense and who actually understands reality far better than the average person.

I have not experienced any other worlds personally, I have dreams where I experience flashes of concepts and experiences that lack tangibility and don't stand the test of time. This dream stands the test of time and has been consistently progressing for millions of years.

You can believe that life is a simulation aiming to teach us some kind of lesson, people like Nick Bostrom have published very popular theories around this.

I think personally it's closer to universal consciousness expanding and learning more about itself. An omniscient God would already know everything so perhaps God is evolving alongside us. I think full virtual reality is the closest thing that you can prove that will lead us to experience alternate realities that are almost as real as ours. Any other hypothesis is just a dream or fantasy unless proven otherwise.

If you don't believe that God is evolving alongside us but already knows everything then we loop back to my theory about God already experiencing life as a virtual reality game and enjoying things like wars and atrocities for the sake of I guess call it divine dopamine.

.

It's consistent because you have been in it.  Wake up. And it all goes poof. Like any other dream.  Have you established yourself as an idealist or a materialist?

I would say that's a false dichotomy, I don't think you have to choose between drinking the full solipsism cocktail or being a materialistic atheist. I don't really have a label for what I believe at the moment, I'm growing and learning and consolidating my knowledge.

I've had plenty of mystical experiences and they did not make the world go poof like any other dream. Did it for you? Seems inconsistent, you're still here with us my friend. All my awakenings led me to is appreciating life way more and realizing that a lot of my limitations were self-imposed and I could do almost anything in this world.

So why does this one persist?

God (or whatever) doesn't care about time, one second or a million years are the same. How is it the whole universe existed when I was born, without my knowledge of it? Because 15 billion years got collapsed to nothing. The persistence is only seen from the character's perspective. Indeed, here you are and you're X years old, how did that happen, what happened to all that persistence?
