I’ve always thought about that idea too. It does very much look like evolution is driven only for the sole purpose of optimum efficiency and is goal oriented to producing the most intelligent functioning species ever. Probably a species that resembles something with alien consciousness. But then I watched a video on why outer space is so quiet and devoid of contact by other life forms, it’s because they think these other life forms evolved to be so advanced that they eventually collapsed in on themselves, wiping themselves out. I see the same thing happening here on earth as evolution pushes for transhumanism and ever more complex systems of AI technology that will eventually take over the entire planet.

But yeah, nothing lasts forever, as they say, even the universe itself will disappear in either a heat death or big rip so I’ve heard. Then it’ll go all dark cold and quiet again, and maybe never respawn ever again. This universe could have been just a one off occurrence for all we know.

Is someone that creates a super intelligence that eventually destroys humanity intelligent?

Yes that’s right, belief has a strong foothold upon the human mind. How is anything possible to exist without first knowing a single concept?

It's the matrix 😎

Yes, all super empires that have arisen throughout history have fallen. Every thing falls in the end, even the great all mighty fell. Death has no cure. Everything happens only once.

Yes, see how it works, belief works. 👍

This is the video I was referring to as to why the universe is so quiet.

Life is short, enjoy it while it lasts. Leo even said that about his forum.

It seems that life can only reach a certain threshold before it collapses in on itself, even cancer cells who disobey death end up killing their host, in the end everything dies because everything is symbiotic in and of itself until it totally consumes itself.

Ya reminded me of that p. floyd / ebonyish art (not that i love p. floyd or anything) but it was art that @cetus made, that im thinkin like, we really need more of that art for the world, nde im al so al'ways wonderin if i had mentioned that to him, how we need more of that in the world, Cetus art, as well as the realized self of the world and its inhabitants, and as an extra/bonus, like whatever it is that links those two things together.

(Cont.) My grandfather who died many years ago, who i suppose would be well over 100 now, for watever reason his fav band was pink floyd, and i always loathed hearin the band... granted, he was passing away when i knew him, so he wasnt like a very lively energetic person at that time w a whole lotta interests and hobbies, but he was from a Scottish family that he never told us about, or he atleast was too old to even get into anything of the like... but he was very in tune to nature i believe, and the dying earth sortve sentiment.

Humans have been waking up since the dawn of their conception. Instinctively knowing that to be self aware was the beginning and end and that ultimately it was recognised that nothing lasts forever. And nothing was ever going anywhere or achieving anything. It’s all nothing forever. And it’s such a sweet relief, that’s why we don’t fear death because we are death, we’re dying every moment and look forward to the little death each night and then the big death when we never wake up ever again.

I jus recently did this thing on proclus, plotinus as well as the vitruvian man as this sortve macrocosm of the world towards death, decay, rebirth sortve things, And it was a way to sortve do the neo-platonic maneuver of flipping it inside out, where "the world" takes the emphasis, and then its framed as if through this vitruvian man thing (something like that; it was a rough sketch of an idea)

I don't think that evolution has a purpose, it's just something that happens because it's possible.

The universe is very big, even if there were millions of technological civilizations, they could be undetectable. They might operate at quantum or interdimensional levels, or transform into a flow of pure intelligence expanding into new dimensions. Trying to understand this would be like a prehistoric man trying to figure out whether Apple is better than Android.

Personally I feel earth is part of a larger intelligence system.

It's quite possible also that some kind of cataclysmic event is on the way.

But there's always some kind of rebirth.

The ending scene of Oblivion touched something in me.

I guess this something that happens because it can is happening accidentally on purpose because it can then.

I feel it too. It’s all based on predictive programming that we are suddenly starting to remember.

That prehistoric man might not have known which is better at the time, but then eventually evolved to know which is better in present day real time knowing.

Just because something is not known yet, doesn’t mean it won’t eventually become known.

pterodactyl, fledgling homoerectus of the historic, towards the rhetoric, freed by the energy by which we free, trapped by the staggering that we keep alternating.

@kavaris The AI’s on other planets could have accidentally on purpose annihilated themselves. Maybe something nuclear happened. Alien movie type stuff.

Or the movie DEEP IMPACT sort of stuff.

If civilization does not collapse and continues to evolve at an accelerated pace, it is literally unimaginable what human beings will be like in 500 years. It is like trying to explain a particle accelerator to someone from the Middle Ages.

We do not understand the structure of reality; we know there are physical laws, space and time, and we assume a Big Bang occurred, but this could be merely the tip of an iceberg of infinite proportions.

Around 1900 the scientist though that physics was already done, science have reached the bottom of the understanding of reality. Now any scientist would admit that we are just scratching the surface.

Imagine an IA that replicates itself and use the energy of the matter transforming planets in data centers interconnected, or directly access to the unlimited energy of the void . The case is that we know that the reality can organise itself from a complex molecule to a technological civilization just by possibility, by catalytic processes, and seems that there are not limits
