I’ve believed I’m bad since I’ve been a child. I’ll listen. The belief “I’m bad” is self destructive from my experience.

Time to understand the dynamic and unravel the shit. I am in this process. And truly is not just about learning it intelectualy. Is using daily life relationship to test it.

This is part of the self love process and not treating God like Dog.

Is not just about expressing a boundariez is about also making people accountable. There need to be consequences otherwise people ( the ones benefiting from us not holding them accountable) will not respect. There is the statement of a law ( Legislative) and the Enforcement of that Law ( judiciary). Some people need to be educated on how you want to be treated, fiercely.

@Natasha Tori Maru maybe take a look on this ones since the topic of Authenticity, Shame,Guilt,Anger shows up here.

I also use the word “dynamic” for this. I’ve had plenty of awakenings on it and I think I rarely go back into the familiar on this because I’ve really come to understand it and grow deeply. I’m always interested in fresh perspectives on its of course I don’t do think perfectly, I think I’ve gotten much better at my reactivity and I don’t often blame my emotions which I create on other people. Understanding is indeed key. I would say a key which really moves the needle on our day to day experience is responsibility. It’s possible to know about the dynamic and even understand it pretty well but you gotta embrace a stillness and I’d say give yourself what you needed when you started to believe you were bad. This always goes back to childhood. A lot of kids grow up in families where they are taught that if they make a mistake or do something wrong or don’t do well at something their value is questioned. It’s rare but the people who do not have this dynamic are people who often grew up as kids in a family that was able to communicate to them that they still were valuable even when they made a mistake or didn’t live up to an expectation. I would say that is one of the most important parts. You basically need to reparent yourself which sorta reengineers the whole belief system (dynamic).

@Lyubov I enjoy your emphasis on responsibility. And I think it is an excellent point that rationalisation and simply explaining mechanisms behind why & how we might feel anger is not enough.

It is very easy to slide into justification from rationalisation in this way. We explain the mechanism, and can fall into explaining away responsibility.

When we add responsibility back into the mix, we gain clarity around the boundaries of where we create our emotional experience, and consequentially are better able to embody agency. That agency is required to change our relationship to how we respond to feelings.

Affecting that relationship is key to reducing reactivity and being able to sit comfortably with intense experiences of emotion.

Cheers for the insight
