But the reality is, for many people, full hair can make them a lot more attractive and that attractiveness gives them a huge boost in their survival in all aspects of life.

Yeah I agree.

But also, hair translpant is perceived as a signal of insecurity and low-self esteem for some people. Some say that you have to just own your baldness and that's more attractive. That can have some validty, but there's no getting around the fact that looks matter for attraction and for most people bald head makes their looks worse.

But I think it's a concern when your in your 20s, 30s or 40s. I hope I will not give a shit about having a hair or not in my 50s, I should have transcanded that worry by that point :D Even in 40s it's a bit wierd, but going bald in your 20s sucks. I'm 30 between norwood 2-3, so it's not that bad, and I think I can maintain or improve this with medication / therapies once every couple months, it's worth the effort until I just let it go sometime in the future.

Self-esteem is good to go for a lifetime and as a bonus you don’t have to waste all your money fattening your insecurities.

I turned 30 now I’m fat and bald. Life is good.

There's definitely a deep freedom in not giving a shit about the body aging

Even in 40s it's a bit wierd,

I find that men in their 40s who obsess about looks and get a bunch of procedures done is almost like they never really grew up. They still have the mindset of a 20 year old and are clinging on to their youth and unwilling to accept aging and inevitable death.

Then again , Ken Wilber has that silly wig, so maybe i'm wrong.

Would you consider hair transplant in 40s as a sign of clinging on to their youth? Maybe it's just an attempt at optimizing for attractiveness. Wanting to be more attractive (to whatever degree hair transplant raises that, even if at all) doesn't necessarily mean that one hasn't accepted old age and inevitable death, right?

I think Wilber is just having fun, I don't think he takes that wig too seriously. But idk.
