Leo, does God limit reality?

6 posts in this topic

If God made the world impermanent so nothing could be seperated from God forever, then doesn't that mean that God denies some things from existing?

In the "Understanding Impermanence", I haven't heard any metaphysical reasons for why reality must be permanent, rather it seems more like God intentionally created an impermanent world.

If reality is impermanent necessarily for some logical reason, does that mean God is governed by logic? But what could possibly be that which limits God, if God is the ultimate?

If God does limit Infinity, then how is Infinity to be understood? Does that mean God has preferences and biases? If not, what else would those things be?

Does God only limit true permanence? For example, Infinity could be impermanent but still allow the emergence of forms of suffering and separation from God that could go on for trillion and trillions of years.

Let's say humanity evolves technologically and we can create artificial consciousness that can sustain itself until the heat death of the universe, you can conceive that someone, either an individual or a government, might create a being that will experience ultimate pain for this long of a duration.

If Infinity is Infinity, such experiences must exist infinitely. Even if they are not permanent, the existence of such experiences would make it hard to justify the existence of anything at all. Would God also prevent such forms of existence? But if that was true, where would he set the limit?

Would he allow a form to be separated from God/in ultimate suffering for centillion years? Maybe sextillion years? Or a million years? It seems arbitary to set a limit.

And if he does not set a limit, then it must be the case that there are forms which experience incomprehensible amounts of suffering for what from a human perspective would be indistinguishable from infinity.

Or would you say it is biased of someone to consider that such experiences ought not exist? That they must exist because God's love must include all things?

God is not biased.

Existence must be this way.

God cannot kill Himself. Does that mean God is biased?

No, because it is impossible. The fact that something is impossible has nothing to do with whether it is biased or not. You have to separate these two concepts.

But I’ll be completely honest with you: you are one of the smartest people on this forum. I hope Leo doesn’t ban you, because you have almost reached his level of consciousness. I hope we get to see more of you, because you ask such incredibly intelligent questions.

Thank you for being you.

I am not sure if this is sarcastic but I would be careful with such assumptions.

I have not achieved what would be considered traditional enlightenment, and I did not have an experience of God consciousness.

I’m not joking.

Stop being so humble. I’ve seen your other posts, and you write with so much wisdom in every sentence. But I’ll stop flattering you now. I just wanted you to know.

I highly recommend this exercise. If you can do it on psychedelics, even better (low-medium dose):

God doesn't do this or that for one reason or another; reality is, and being manifests in relative forms.

Any form must be limited, because if it weren't, it wouldn't be a form. And it exists in relation to other forms. Nothing can be permanent except the fact of existing; everything that appears begins and ends, is limited in all its dimensions except for its substance, which is the absolute being.

You are the absolute being manifested in a form. Release your attachment to form and open yourself to your essence, then you will be immortal, because you are the absolute, immutable, total being, and everything is within you.

There is no other above you, no creator creating you. You are the totality now, and you have no bottom. Your power is absolute, and you know everything: you know that you are and what you are, you perceive the full totality that is your nature .

That means omniscience; it's not necessary to know the details, it's enough to know that they are simply details. If you open yourself to the absolute, to the total glory of unlimited freedom, you will know everything and your power will be total, because infinity lives within you, you are that, the absolute being, happening.

You can't know what is the absolute being except being open to it, being it without barriers. Then the absolute being sees itself through you, that is, through itself.
