What? Lmao what did I just witness in real time. You just completely pivoted your point and what you were arguing before as I deconstructed it. Obviously I think you are right with this new comment but that wasn't your point at all previously.

You just misunderstood me. Maybe I could have been more clear.

The incels are incelling again....

She went in to get help with her post partum psychosis and insurance denied her, she told the psychiatrist she was thinking of harming her kids, multiple times.

Curious what you conservatards think 'critical thinking' means, because you obviously have not a clue what critical thinking is, you're mindless brotube parrots, not protectors of women and children, HARMERS. The system needs corrected so more kids AREN'T harmed. Morons

Its either tragedy or evil.

There are three sides. 1) Reasonable people, 2) Those who leap to tragedy conclusion, 3) Those who leap to evil conclusion

The conservatards are evil

Imagine going to psychiatrists and everyone telling them you're having psychotic thoughts of murdering your kids, them giving you a handful of pills and sending you off to their birthday party, killing your entire family, paralyzing yourself trying to suicide, then these douche canoes attacking her like a witch trial. Evil

You're failing to distinguish between reasonable and unreasonable conversatives

No such thing as a reasonable conservatard. You're obfuscating

Yes, making the typical conservatard vague thought-terminating cliché.

Mysterious that you apparently can't read well anyway.... obfuscating also means vague - like how I clarified how I was using it....

Mental health is still not a well understood topic and the institutions around us fail people all the time for sure.

This indeed could've been avoided if she was admitted into inpatient care and placed under observation for a few weeks. The US is currently cutting funding for this type of care though so unfortunately it's not an issue that will be solved in the next few years.

Personally, from what I've heard about the case from a friend of mine who follows a lot of trials very closely, is that there isn't evidence that the psychiatrists would have known about her wanting to harm her kids specifically.

What it reads like to me is that she actively planned to kill her kids and plead insanity... and she sent her husband to go get food so that she could have time to do it.

So, it seems to me that she preemptively went to a bunch of psychiatric doctors so that she could plead insanity later on.

And I was rather surprised to hear from my friend that there were so many people supporting her and shifting the narrative to "the doctors are to blame" and "It was postpartum psychosis."

I think it's just that a lot of women experience postpartum depression. So, they're likely to project their own circumstances onto Lindsay Clancy. And that has worked out to here having a bunch of supporters, where they see Lindsay Clancy as the victim and totally loses sight of the fact that her children are the real victims.

And then, add to that, that it's been apparently added to the culture/gender war... from what I'm reading on this post.

So, it becomes a "Women bad. Men bad." thing... instead of clearly seeing the situation for what it is.

And neither Lindsay Clancy nor her husband seem to have much remorse for losing their children. So, that's very telling to me.

My friend that I mentioned, who has a passion for following trials and all the available evidence very closely, told me about another woman who murdered her children because of genuine religious psychosis.

And she fully believed that her children's only chance to go to heaven and avoid suffering in hell for eternity was if she killed them.

And when she came out of the psychosis, she was devastated. And she's been offered to be let out because she was deemed not guilty by reason of insanity... but doesn't want to be let out.

That's the behavior I would expect of someone who was really struggling with the things that Lindsay Clancy is claiming as the reason she killed her children.

The psychiatrists testified that she told them she was ideating about killing her kids

None of the psychiatrists that she was seeing prior to killing her children were told about her ideation to kill her kids. She just shared about anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation.

There are psychiatrists she started seeing after she killed her kids and during the trial that claims she had postpartum psychosis. But she wasn't seeing those psychiatrists beforehand.

Ultimately, the defense is going to bring on "expert witnesses" to act in her defense and claim that she bears no criminal responsibility. But it's important not to mix-up the psychiatrists who are acting as "expert witnesses" with the psychiatrists that she was seeing prior to killing her kids.
