Solipsism question

You're the One.

Its just you buddy.  Jus don't call it solipsism or the part of you that chooses denial over substance of being will get triggered and try to get it right instead of getting it right.

Its funny because here you are talking to yourself like this is really happening when its the opposite - you put all this here so you can have this exact conversation here and now.  So lets get it right.

That's the miracle.  Like I was saying in the other thread with @Carl-Richard about his dreams.  The whole thing is a script.  It's a play.  That you can go see in the theater.  The whole magic of it though is that we are tricked.  We're tricked into thinking its real.

Wisdom.  Truth.  Love.

So consciousness (I) can only experience one avatar at a time

Forgive me if this has already been addressed?  But, are you sure, about this?

It's true the mind cannot appreciate simultaneity.  It skips over it, for good reason, in order to render the oscillating-energy-bath ( of reality ) into sensory feedback which presents as a stable ( "rock-solid" ) construct. However, the emotive faculties routinely process and experience simultaneity.  That's where one can find long lineages, overlapping, within a human-shaped-vessel.

solipsism

Maybe think of it this way?

The "-ism" suffix, in English, indicates that the word is describing a pure-example of a complex idea.  Problem:  In the material world, there aren't perfectly pure examples of anything.  But, because it's much easier to study the pure-example, the extreme-cases, during inquiry, this inherent fault  is over-looked, temporarily. Then from this inquiry ( of the hypothetical pure-example, which is approaching the extreme-case, but doesn't intend to reach it ) one can consider the trend.  If the trend is consistently pointing towards the ideal, then the "-ism", regardless of context, is "valid".   But, naturally, any attempt to embody the "-ism" or to find evidence of it ( "Is it true?" ) will fail.  Only imperfect examples will be found of any "-ism".

Why it's a all that exists? That logic makes no sense

The contraposition is false; which renders the proposition 'true'.

It can be logical, but it doesn't need to be.  It can be felt in the heart.

You can know, it's simple: look within, empty your mind, forget phenomena and definitions, enter a mental state where nothing means anything, forget meaning, be in absolute silence.

Then you will perceive only existence, but a closed existence. Remain in that non-definition, in that clear mind, and find the subject-object structure. If you look at it directly, it collapses quickly, in minutes.

Technically in English, you're not describing "knowing".  It's better described as "trust", or more completely, as the relationship "wisdom <<< born-from >>> understanding".

Knowing, in English, is a pointed, penetrating, certainty.  It's coming from direct experience.  That's why the translators of the Bible choose the euphemism "Adam knew his wife..." to convey copulation.

In English, in contrast to "Knowing", is "Understanding".  Most succinctly, "Knowing compared to Understanding, is like a dot compared to a cloud."  Wisdom is typified as the "closed non-existence which collapses".  Well said.  Wisdom is knowing which "keys" belong with each and every "lock".  The "lock" metaphorically, is the vacancy you're describing.  Pure "Wisdom", in the English language.

Is this helpful?

If you use to sitting everyday to change your mental frequency and getting out of the cloud of procceses that constitutes the egoic mind to be without any support or grip, open to the actual existence now.

It's not trusting it's knowing or understanding. If you go out in the street now and suddenly a hungry tiger appears in front of you, you will know immediately that something extremely serious in happening, even you never would have seen a tiger in your life.

The very fact of the situation would trigger atavistic programming that create a concrete mental state with an emission of chemistry in your brain same time than a structure of perception that would be: knowing that death is coming right now.

You don't need to think: oh, an animal that seems dangerous, it could damage my body and provoke a collapse of the system that is called dead. You will know being the knowledge. All your structure would be: knowledge of death now.

Yeah..let's break that down.  Will you EVER have direct validation that you are not?  Never because all you have is you!!! your perspective.  You can't just go willy nilly looking through other being's eyes.  It doesn't work like that.  So...can we agree that - for all of eternity, you will never be able to know if another mind exists?  See, here's the fucked up part.  If you agree with me here, you are validating solipsism.  It's FOREVER.  So it's self validating.

I can agree based on my lived exeperience now and current memories that it seems safe to assume that I'll never be able to know if another mind exists, but from this state of consciousness it sure seems that others exist - it certainly seems like there's other beings out there that have private thoughts and preferences that I dont typically have access to.

From this state of consiousness it does seem impossible to know for sure whether other people are having a lived experience of reality that I would call similar to my own current experience if I were to experience it. There's no real evidence that they are, but there's no real evidence that they aren't either.

So yes, it seems we can never know for sure... but maybe we can.

Some people seem to be pretty sure.

Solopsists who "know for sure that other minds DON'T exist" with 100% or 99.99% certainty seem to have accessed a state of consiousness that I have not accessed yet.

Right now, others really seem to exist... like, it seems silly to assume that they don't.
But then during certain states of consiousness / deep contemplation apparently it can be 'known for sure that there are no other minds!

But then it seems like you go back to the 'human' state of consiousness, now with a memory of that experience, and look, here are the other minds doing their thing!

But, if reality is infinite, why can't both ontologies be true, depending on the state of conciousness?

Why can't there be others and also no others?

Who's to say there couldnt be another state of consciousness in which it becomes abundantly clear that there are without a doubt, other minds, or even that there are infinite minds?

I've never tried 5-Meo and maybe that shows, lol

Exactly, if you take some drugs you would know without any doubt that other minds are unreal and that you are creating them now, and this is an absolute proof about that other minds doesn't exist.

It's obvious, and if you have any doubt it's because you are not awake, you are not in the exclusive club of those who have seen . It's a reasoning that any brilliant mind would have to admit, it's more than a reasoning, it's an absolute fact.

People here is saying that. I don't know, I'd say that other mind are real, but that's because I didn't realized the absolute truth, that is that I'm creating the other minds now. I asked to those people who are enlightened that maybe they could do anything simple, for example creating a planet, just a small one, or do a flight like neo. Not a very high one, just 1 or 2 meters over the floor (because it could be dangerous if it's your first time) , but they say that's impossible because they as God have fixed a rule that forbids it.

Why the contraposition is false?

Proposition ( unless I misread ):

"Now is all that exists"

Contra-position:

"Now is NOT all that exists"

Evaluation, if false:

  • "Now is NOT all that exists" = False
  • NOT ( Now is NOT all that exists ) = NOT ( False )
  • The negation of "NOT all" is "at least one"
  • NOT Now is at least one that exists = True
  • "Is" in this context is "equivalence"
  • NOT Now = At least one that exists = True
  • Reordering for clarity...
  • At least one that exists = NOT Now = True

Conclusion:

The contra-position is False; because, there is not at least one thing which is not incuded in the category: Now".

Challenge:

Name 1 thing which undeniably, absolutely cannot, in any way, be included in the collection of events described as "Now".  Past recollections are happening now.  Future projections are happening now.

You have to complete that proposition:

"Now is all that exists and my perspective of that now is the entire now"

The result is unchanged.  Use yourself as an example.

Name 1 thing which is not included in NOW and/or is not included in your perspective.

Even prior to articulation, anything you contemplate is included.  If not, name something.   I'll gladly accept the correction.

( in translation, "NOT and", becomes an indefinite and/or )

Well if you (God) created/imagined them, then these minds exist now, no?

@Breakingthewall,

Please compare the original description with the second one.

The unyielding tiger has very little in common with "If you look at it directly, it collapses quickly, in minutes."

It's clear to me that you're offering little more than a knee-jerk reaction.
