Better for your arteries. Adding more years than running.

Cycling better than running also

It is far easier to fool someone, than to convince them they have been fooled.

I'm subbed to that channel and became an adult swimmer myself!

The learning curve to becoming even a decent swimmer as an adult is pretty high though. It's much more skill-based to get to that point, and you need patience (time), consistency of practice, to develop better body awareness, and the willingness to unlearn a bunch of movement habits perpetually, no matter how advanced you get.

The water is very humbling when it comes to people trying to brute force it.

Running is an essential human movement skill that you don't want to lose. And you will lose it with age unless you practice it. So you shouldn't look at it so one dimensionally like: "swimming is better because there is less joint stress" or "because its better for your arteries".

Wow, everyones communication skills on this forum suck.

If you disagree, feel free to explain why, like an adult. Instead of just throwing around substanceless insults.

@Elliott I've made a respectful comment, sharing my opinion. You decided that the best way to respond is with an insult.

If you are incapable of having a discussion that's your problem.

It's not respectful to share a half-baked dumb comment, lol, it's disrespectful if anything

Not very accessible though.

The most underrated exercise is walking in my opinion. It doesn't get more accessible that. It's also one of the greatest exercise for weight loss. I know someone who took walking to an athletic level. You'd be surprised how tired you get after what is a relatively short distance. Most old people who need more exercise just need to walk more first and foremost in my opinion.

Might be more common in the u.s. but almost every small city has a competition sized indoor pool.
