Solipsism - You will only have your perspective- forever

@JoshB you can't escape the conceptual interpretation, even if you try to state otherwise.

The only conceptualization pertaining to this matter is that other's actually have any conciousness or existence.

Do you have any direct Conciousness / experience of others experience or mind? If you dont then its a concept.

If direct experience is the only thing there is and you dont have any direct experience of something. That IS a belief / concept.

If other minds could exist there wouldn't be God. And God Absolutely exists.

Even if other minds could exist, where other then your mind would they be occurring?!

You as God have the infinite ability to deny and hide the fact you are dreaming everything and everyone. Because there is nothing to contrast Gods Imagination because it is the only thing there is!

Thus making your self deception total

@JoshB Me calling solipsism spiritual narcissism doesn't make me a spiritual narcissist. 😂 WTF?

I'd say it's better to give up this petty argument and focus on purifying your own darkness and miasma.

Let me ask you this: if a cell in your body believes that it is you, is that true or false?

To me, a cell is not the whole. It is only a part of the whole—just as you are part of the whole. But we all share one consciousness. That's all.

We have separate minds, but one consciousness.

I would advise you to practice humility. I know I still have a long way to go myself. I also struggle with pride and other impurities, so I'm not saying I'm better than you in any way.

I would also advise you to talk to a real therapist if you're struggling with these things. Therapy can genuinely help.

I won't be able to convince you with regards to Jim's experience.

It might be a better idea to speak to Mellowmarsh, her sense of separate self has also 'fallen away' permanently.

I’ve only just come to read this thread for the first time, so have not been aware of the discussion.

I switched off notifications arriving in my email, so I have no awareness of what’s being discussed on this forum unless I intentionally choose to read a thread. I don’t read many threads and definitely not all of them. Just the ones I am particularly interested in, which is not many tbh.

I can confirm that my sense of separate self has fallen away permanently. And is why I am able to fully comprehend Jim’s message without any struggle or confusion.

Best regards.

Lots of i's in that statement.  I'm not disputing this - that you had an awakening or a realization that the self does not exist.  And now it is permanently gone.  What i was saying is that you are currently not depersonalized. There is still a sense of self there for you.  You just said "I don't  read a lot of posts" you wouldn't even be able to do that properly if suffering from depersonalization.  And this is actually what occurs on awakening.   So please explain your awakening to no self, what it was like and if you had any other awakenings.  I would truly be interested in hearing the whole story.

As for the thread title. I agree.

From the perspective of myself here, there’s nothing else is happening. I only experience reality from here.

From the perspective of someone else’s I, there’s nothing else happening, there’s only the experience of reality from the I there.

I understand that the I is just another word for awareness which is unlocalised everywhere at once, and yet is localised in the knowing.

Of course there’s going to be I’s in this writing, how else is it going to make sense to the reader. The I is the story of selfing.

Well for me it was complete and total DPDR. J realized that this disorder is essentially enlightenment but without the enlightenment.   If you know what I mean.  And then after a week or so I started fading back into the ego state.  And I could start functioning again.  Being me.

It means complete detachment from the body.  The body is moving without a sense of self or a self.

What does DPDR  mean?

I function as an ego of course I do, but the difference is I know it’s not my ego, I know no one owns or controls my ego, my ego is simply everything functioning as an ego. That’s all.

That is silly because true awakening is ego death. It isn't there. It's not that no one controls it.  Its completely gone.  That's essentially what DPDR or enlightenment is.  Shinzen Young calls DPDR enlightenment's evil twin.  That you don't even know what it is to me is shocking since you claim enlightenment.

I don’t think that’s possible to have no sense of self. The sense of self whether it’s impersonal or personal still arises as and through the body.

It’s just that I no longer believe there’s a “ someone”  who owns these arisings, rather, I understand them to have no author. Neither is there any control of them, they just pop in and out of awareness without any prior warning, unscripted and without restriction or limit.

I’ve only claimed the sense of separation has fallen away. The rest is in the details, which I’m not particularly interested in tbh, labelling this and that is just pointless spiritual jargon, all rather unnecessary. All I know is that there’s absolutely nothing being me, and that’s that, full stop.

And how am I supposed to know what 4 random capital letters are supposed to mean?

I know enough about nothing to understand there was no intention on your part to come across as disrespectful.

I have stopped talking labelling personally. So no problem, have a wonderful individual experience. 🙂 it’s all you’ll ever know whilst you’re experiencing this temporal knowing.
