Stupidity doesn’t exist

5 posts in this topic

Stupidity doesn’t exist, it is a lack of perspective from the observer. You are projecting your divided mind on the world and assuming that people have individual perspectives just like you. Then, you can’t accept that their perspectives are different from yours, calling it stupid. That’s a fantasy. Reality is all intelligently orchestrated from scratch as one unified, infinitely nuanced experience. Every act of stupidity you witness out there is your misunderstanding of the unshakable intelligence pervading all actions.

You might say a perspective that understands this is less stupid than one that doesn’t but it’s not. All relative scales of intelligence are appearances within pure intelligence, which is infinite, so they all look the exact same in comparison to infinite. It doesn’t matter at all that a perspective doesn’t understand itself, it is still 100% necessary for reality to be exactly what it is. It is still 100% participating in the unfolding of absolute intelligence. Pure intelligence can’t be intelligent without being stupid! If it didn’t include stupid, it wouldn’t be intelligent!

All attempts at solving the stupidity of the world and your own is you playing pretend. Cause it was never there to begin with. The only stupidity that exists is your own pretend stupidity. You are an infinitely intelligent child playing dress up as a stupid person. And so am I. And so is your neighbour. And your mom. And Leo. And this whole forum. And any separate being you could ever imagine.

~

A trap here would be to turn this into an excuse to stop learning and making yourself more intelligent in the relative sense. The process, and the movement from pretend stupidity to pretend intelligence is a healthy narrative for life. Life is for pretending so have fun! My favourite pretending is pretending that I am trying to be authentic and stop pretending. When I am pretending that pretending isn’t authentic to begin with, of course.

For me, stupidity is the attitude of prioritizing your emotional needs over the facts. It's something that happens at some basic mental foundation, and then you build an entire edifice of stupidity upon it.

You can't go back because it would mean the destruction of your entire psychological structure, and you don't dare do that. Therefore, you reinforce your stupidity and become a complete stupid . It's very common. When the stupid is old it's dramatic.

Yeah exactly, it’s made up and fear keeps it up.

Good insight. Similar in nature to the collapse of free will / no free will duality, no? You could say laziness doesnt exist either, no? Maybe we could write a whole list. But i dont spend much time observing this kind of insights nowadays.

I agree with you somewhat and that perspective is helpful in ridding ourselves of judgement. Saying there is no stupidity though is robbing the world of meaning. There are plenty of obtuse people that are falling for simple cognitive bias and their lack of quest for wisdom and intelligence is hurting themselves and others. Our ability to identify those people and build frameworks to not be victims of their stupidity is very important to living a high quality life.

The only way I can reason that stupidity is good is because is it gives me a strong competitive advantage, I don't think that it's good ultimately though.
