Who knows that is the ego. The ego thinking that it's not real.

A question can only arise to the sense of a separate self, where there isn’t one.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean, sorry. Could you be more specific?

I guess I was going into science fiction mode and thinking, would it ever be possible for the eternal unfolding to stop ?

Ah, thanks for clarifying.
Short answer, I don’t know.

(Eternal) how I interpret the word to mean is an unfolding that has no known beginning or end. Think Mandelbrot.

Who knows that is the ego. The ego thinking that it's not real. Making a difference between real and unreal and deciding that it's category is "unreal". All inside of the conceptual mind.

Similarly, if you look closely, are thoughts really yours, or are they actually just happening.

It's absolutely impossible, because "stop" is not happening, and happening is a possibility, then the break 'no happening " doesn't happen, always is happening , because "not happening " is never.

My thoughts doesn't deny the fact of being thinking. Just trying to make a frame that makes easy the openess to what is absolutely real

The thoughts aren't yours, are you in the form of a thought . The process that is happening and that creates thoughts is what you are.

To frame is to freeze what ultimately doesn’t happen, nothing is framing anything.

Did you decide to have this thought ? Or did it just happen without any gap

Like deep sleep, but it has no duration, it doesn't happen, like anesthesia. Happening is continuous

The fact of deciding comes from a unfathomable chain of cause effect, but at the end what happens is the drive of reality to be, and being manifest in the same moment that a relationship happens, it's impossible to determine it, so at the end you are effect, but same time you are cause, like everything else

Yeah I wonder if there's something strange going on with the brain during cessations

I don't see the value of cessation

But can you really say you consciously decided to have the thought ?

Yeah, maybe you right, maybe it's just like deep sleep, although I sense it's a deeper kind of reset.
