My daily experience of life hasn’t changed one iota. The only change is an apparent recognition that reality is not what thought thinks it is, rather, it whatever it is, is not limited by what thought thinks it is, rather it’s a liberation from limitation it’s the entry into the infinite.

I am infinity knowing a finite experience. Not a finite experience knowing it’s infinite.

Beautiful, thank you :)

What I am saying is that every day now it's becoming more obvious to me that it's an illusion that there's an actual entity in there called Wilhelm who's somehow the controller.

There is a process happening in the reality, or the reality in the form of a complex process, called Wilhelm that has the drive of self preservation inherited from the origins of life and that has also the expansive drive proper of the reality itself

I'm going to feel into that and contemplate, thank you.

The I everyone refers to every time they say it is the formless, attributeless present awareness we all are at our core.

There is not formless awareness, any awareness is awareness of relative change. That's the mistake of non duality, they affirm that there is something, the consciousness, that is the foundation of reality. Consciousness is just an arising that happens in reality because it's possible

It’s not a mistake, that’s the illusion. The Awakening is already this open unlimited vastness. Instead of the ego thinking it is a limitless being (which leads to grandiosity), the awareness of relative change, is a flip so that the infinite recognises the finite vessel it is currently inhabiting.

A I

The Psychological View: A Functional Mask

Psychology does not treat the ego as a physical thing, but rather as an essential mental construct.

The Reality: You need an ego to function. It helps you distinguish your body from a chair, hold a job, obey laws, and manage relationships.

The Illusion: The ego often distorts reality through defense mechanisms (like denial or projection) to protect your self-esteem. It makes you believe your temporary thoughts, labels, and roles are your absolute identity.

————

The infinite absolute cannot know itself as an identity. It already is this immediate infinite absolute without the illusory division of knower and known. There is no gap between the knowing and the known. Any apparent gap is a mental fabrication, an illusion. The illusion that artificially creates the gap can equally close the gap. And nothing will have changed.

Limitless being is not grandiosity because "being" is not an entity, is a fact. It's not big or small, it's just limitless.

The infinite does things then, like recognitions? And now it knows that there is not self and that means enlightenment? So before the infinity wasn't enlightened?

Maybe it's more simple, you are a human with a self, and that self can be open or closed. That self is a real evolutive structure that is happening. Maybe it's not permanent, but it's real now.

Exactly, the only possibile knowledge is being. You always are, but humans are closed by fear and by the inherent structure subject object that happens by the fact of a  conscious organism. Dissolving the separation and open yourself to the unlimited implies being the unlimited, that is, dissolving any limits

Maybe. With infinite possibility, anything is possible.

@Breakingthewall @Mellowmarsh instead of explaining what it is, why don't you tell the mind shut the fuck up, and just Be?

Which is the real path, not about  knowing, but walking.

@Mellowmarsh @Breakingthewall mind loves to get confirmed, stay important, accumulated knowledges to know better. Explain more and more. What it has experienced and has know.

Now the real path is surrendering that.

Do you guys ever get tired of arguing with each other lol.

I like to contrast view with anyone interested in spirituality, but some people are unbearable, only ego, too narrow mind. Anyway it's interesting to see the psychology of people that is involved in this topic. Any interaction shows new nuances

After some contemplation, I realized that I can't deny the validity of my own experience, where I do seem to be experiencing a rapid unravelling of the separate sense of self, memories don't have a sense of me anymore, and the 'realness' of others seems to be fading also.

Simultaneously I'm not expecting you to deny the validity of your experience. Thus we probably won't be able to convince each other here.

I would however be curious to know what you think Adyashanti, and many other spiritual teachers through the ages, including our very own Leo here, meant, when they said: "Nothing has ever actually happened."  ?

Another thing that's often heard is, "it's actually all a big joke" or "the snake was seen to be just a rope"

(I know you like to say: Okay, but what if you guys don't have any money, or if someone has a gun to your head, lets see if you still think it's an illusion then. This is a bit of a silly argument in my opinion. The relative comfort or intensity of appearances doesn't really say anything per say about the deeper nature of reality. )

Some quotes from science:

 Niels Bohr

"Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real."

 Albert Einstein

"For those of us who believe in physics, the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion."

 John Archibald Wheeler

"We are not only spectators, but we are actors in the great drama of existence."

Werner Heisenberg

"The atoms or elementary particles themselves are not real; they form a world of potentialities or possibilities rather than one of things or facts."

Erwin Schrödinger

"The world is given to me only once, not one existing and one perceived. Subject and object are only one. The barrier between them cannot be said to have broken down... for this barrier does not exist."

(And once again: none of this implies a dismissal or any sense of disrespect towards what is apparently happening.)

Illusion implies 'something' beyond the duality of unreal or real.

Ultimately words can't really describe what This is.

(If material objects were ultimately real, would we not find complete and lasting fullfillment in their consumption)

@Breakingthewall

I am curious, how exactly is your notion of Unlimited Being, different from, the Indescribable Mystery (or the Beloved), so called Nothingness (not the opposite of somethingness, but I admit potentially a misleading term), that has the infinite ability to appear as anything under the sun and beyond, and which has as its nature, unconditional freedom, unconditional love, unconditional aliveness, infinite beauty etc ?
