Meaning of the hereafter mentioned in the Quran is not that there is simply another life after this one. Rather, it means living without being overly attached to the world, in a state of total surrender.

In other words, heaven, hell, and the hereafter are all contained within this very moment.

All religious book, spiritual book that talks about heaven, says beautiful rivers, amazing taste of food, peace, joy, look around now, what do you see.

If you are in a state of surrender, it is heaven, if you are trying to be in control, which is any attachment, it is hell.

"Claiming something" is happening in the me, awareness, which is not a thing.

The human body sensations, perceptions and conceptions happen within awareness. Like in a dream at night, the dream body appears in the same awareness.

The sun is an object in awareness. Awareness is that which allows it to be known.

Yes, that's it, to be fully engaged with the world but not attached to it, or consumed by the drama of experience and worldly matters. 

This is mastery, and when this is maintained, and one becomes fully established in it, that is Enlightenment, in a nutshell.
