Who's actually pickier in dating: men or women?

It's almost common knowledge that women are pickier when it comes to dating, but at the same time men overlook the vast majority of women and focus on persuing the few who are attractive. 

So which sex is actually pickier?

Obviously men. Men prioritize physical appearance. Women prioritize character.

Deluded posts here already. Women are pickier on every level. Contrary to popular belief women care about looks more than men and absolutely do not prioritize character that is laughable. Women are the ones who overlook the vast majority of men. Every woman regardless of age, race, size, background, style etc is someone's type the same is not true for men. Many men are attractive to nobody. Almost every women will have some sort of love life, have sex, go on dates etc while some men will end up with hundreds or even thousands of women while some men cannot even get a date.

This dishonesty about the reality of female attraction is just pathetic and it is the reason why the manosphere and looksmaxxing have become so influential. Young men listen to all these lies about how women care about personality and character yet observe the most toxic, sociopathic, abusive, emotionally immature men attracting women. These are not the guys struggling but this need to conceal the truth about women and preserve this myth that women are somehow deeper and more evolved than men is so strong that society is willing to gaslight young men.

Interesting perspective and there's some truth to it no doubt but it does seem to align more with the red pill manosphere stuff.

The popular belief which you repeated is that men care about looks and women care about character. It is a huge myth that doesn't stand up to scrutiny. There is no such thing as a good low key women who just wants a nice man. If a woman is attractive enough to get the attention of a hot or well known man and there is an opportunity for something to happen they will take it. The quiet girl in the library or stage green spirittual chick will have sex with an athlete in the toilet if the opportunity presents itself. 

Women are not these innocent, intuitive, evolved, goddesses.

Red Pill/Manosphere do not own the conversation on dating and female nature. I come to my own conclusions through studies, listening to what women say and obsrerving what women actually do and who they choose. I spend way more time around women than men, I talk to women more and the idea that women just want kind, mature, honest men is laughable.

A 6'6 hot guy could create a dating profile where he is openly racist and misogynistic and women will flock to him. I live in a major city and regular women in my neighbourhood are having orgies with athletes. The athletes book an entire hotel, send messages to hundreds of random women and the fuck the shit out of them. Those same women will talk about want a man who just treat them well, it's all crap.

Women care about looks more than men. Stop repeating lies that are contradicted by reality. Men are the ones actually more accepting of flaws. Women are picky about everything apart from character and personality.

Women are way pickier and that is biological. 

A woman will have to bear the burden of raising the child and undergo 9 months of pregnancy. 

The man can vanish from her life or be a deadbeat if he wanted to. 

For sexual partners men are way less picky and would generally go much lower than they would be proud to admit.

I somewhat agree. Many women flock to really good looking dudes. I had a friend in University who was that level of physical attractiveness and bro, the simping some of these girls would do was insane! These girls would turn into a frenzy hahaha. Ngl would make me jealous af lol. And i think this gets underplayed and dudes rightly feel gaslighted. 

But I think you don't give enough credit to the power of charisma in attracting women. People having major changes through pickup because the process develops serious charisma. To an extent yes its a numbers game. But, if charisma didn't make a big difference then it would only be a numbers game and pickup dudes would keep getting a similar type of results. For example, a phone number every X number of girls, or the same attractiveness of girl would go for them and nothing more. But from what i've seen myself, and heard from others this isn't the case. You improve your charisma and you get a better level of results with women. BUT charisma does not mean having good character lol. You are right to point out the gaslighting there about most women going for guys who are noble and non-mysognistic hahaha. Women like dark triad traits.

But anyhow, women care about charisma as well as looks. I'd say status and fame matter too. If you max out one of those traits as a dude then you will get many results with women imo. Except, sadly, if someone has some major deformity/ disability i think. But hey i dunno, maybe stephen Hawking was dropping mad game lol.

However, for men if we don't find a girl physically attractive then she cannot make up for it. A girl cannot max out another trait to make up for not having good looks. Which is brutal. 

And that i think means that Women care less about looks that men.
