Tinnitus/ringing on the come-up of 5meo

15mg plugged and once again the ringing gets louder and louder for like 3min then it fades

It's the ringing you can always hear especially in silence but here it's really amplified 

Anyone else? Any explanation?

I've tried 5-meo several times, and honestly I don't care what Leo says, It's a drug, and it can be dangerous. If it's causing you tinnitus, you may want to avoid it, as tinnitus is the brain's compensatory mechanism to damage to inner hair cells/synapses.

And at least for me, it just messes up your brain circuits and neurotransmitter balance.

There are different kinds of tinnitus.

Psychedelics do not damage the hair cells.

The tinnitus from psychedelics is not physical damage, it is a mental effect. Which is why it is temporary. Damage would be permanent.

Its something i also wanted to ask here on the forum. I always get quite strong tinitus from all psychedelics i tried. I never understood why tho.

Tinnitus has a hardware and a software component.

The hardware is the ears, the software is the brain. Psychedelics screw with the brain so they cause tinnitus via that route.

Software tinnitus can happen spontaneously even if you don't take psychedelics, just by sitting in silence. Meditation could cause it too. The brain can play tricks on you. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your ears.

If it only lasts a few minutes, there's nothing to worry about. Permanent tinnitus is a serious problem and should be avoided at all costs.

You are literally hearing your "vibration" temporarily (rising / accelerating). Because such substances significantly amplify your energy / nervous system, you can hear / see / feel it in real time.

I notice the idea of "tinnitus" especially in these times, or times of fasting or high energy / consciousness accelerating practices.

its like the fans running in your computer. When you take psychedelics its like running a high end game on max details, you all of a sudden can hear the fans running wild because you are forcing maximum output of performance / graphics / details or consciousness
