She was born in 1983 in a small village in the Kherson region of Ukraine. She was a normal child at birth, but was neglected by her alcoholic parents starting around age three.

One bitterly cold night, her parents left her outside, and the toddler crawled into the family dog kennel for warmth — and essentially stayed there for nearly five years. She was adopted by a pack of stray dogs who fed, protected, and raised her as one of their own.

By the time she was discovered around age eight, she walked on all fours, barked to communicate, and ate like a dog. The pack was so protective of her that authorities had to lure the dogs away with food scraps before they could reach her.

After being rescued, she was placed in institutions where she slowly relearned human speech and behavior. Researchers were actually surprised that despite spending her formative years among dogs, she was still able to develop a solid grasp of language — which is unusual for feral children.

Her last public appearance was in a 2013 Ukrainian TV interview, where she expressed that she wanted to be treated like a normal person and was hurt by the "dog girl" label. She now lives in a care facility near Odessa, Ukraine, where she works with farm animals.

It's one of the most thoroughly documented "feral child" cases in modern history — confirmed by doctors, psychologists, and multiple documentary crews over the years.

I think this is real - I came across this many years ago. It's probably the 3rd time I have seen the same case documented (not that this qualifies it as a true story!). 

I hate that in this day and age I cannot enjoy stories or clips. Need to check for AI and disinformation.
