Reconciliation after death

7 posts in this topic

What bothers me about death the most is not having the opportunity to reconcile with those we love. For example being on bad terms with someone you love and they pass away and you are forever haunted by the guilt of never being able to apologize, and explain to them how much they meant. Never knowing if they understood that you still loved them.

My question is , do you ever get that opportunity after death?

I mean in a finite sense, meeting them and yourself as finite egos and reconciling. I know from the absolute sense this is meaningless since there’s no “you” and “them” and what not.

If somebody told you yes, would you believe it?

Some people who astral project claim to meet their deceased loved ones.

I haven't done it so I can't verify.

Which is a very big reason to take action ASAP towards fixing your relationship with everyone you know.  Whatever evil they did to you (or vice versa ) is not really worth having any hatfulness between each other. We are all one in the end .

So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

The ultimate closure is realizing that it never even mattered in the end. And what comes out of the other side is even greater than what you were clinging onto before.

Yes, and the converse.

If the love is true, they know.  If not, it's like ether, temporal, chaff in the wind, so to speak.

Beyond death what persists is true.  If there was no reconciliation as finite egos, that truth persists.  However, if there was opportunity for reconciliation, this opportunity persists.  Embedded within the opportunity are the reasons why reconciliation was possible.  These reasons, if true, persist and will certainly be known by your loved ones.

best wishes,

@bazera  yh its important to question our belief like  what is after death reinc or etc etc but there is just one thing that if alot of spiritually awake ppl says its true like gurus or smth you just automatically think that they might be right since they are wiser than you and whatever reasons. so its rly hard to not hold any belief about something, advice? only believe what you can verify?

Yeah I know the feeling. I heard about the life review concept from near death experiences and was looking forward to dying so I could make things right.

But it's not a productive mindset, and it cheapens life unnecessarily. If I were you I would try to reconcile now, they might be able to hear you even if you can't hear them. Maybe make a ritual of it.
