Is everything trap?!

6 posts in this topic

Every day I read that water what people drink in my city is poison, toothbrushes are poison, foods are poison, pants are poison for hormones. And so on and on. It's very overwhelming. Money seems only solution from these traps. Or maybe it's not that important??

Here's my logical step by step approach to these sort of worries:

  1. Be aware - educate yourself, how dangerous is it?
  2. Is it something you can control? - no then you have no choice right now, forget it and carry on.
  3. Are you willing to take action on it? - no, then it probably isn't worrying you enough, forget it and carry on.
  4. Take action.

In short, worry about what's worth worrying about.

Here's an example:

  1. Talcum powder may contain asbestos, which is bad for my health with long term use.
  2. Yes I can control it, I can stop using it.
  3. Talcum powder has benefits to me, in terms of comfort, but stopping using it would be a minor inconvenience. Maybe the negatives outweigh the positives.
  4. Ok, I'll stop using it.

money can also be a trap:)

"is everything a trap?" - no, but the tough part is it takes some discerning with any given thing, situation, or circumstance.

saying that everything is a trap - that, too, is, unfortunately, a trap. you don't need to freak out over traps, just be conscious that some may be out there and even if you fall for one, you can get up again and keep going.

I am currently studying the purpose of different peculiarities of the mind and this includes paranoia.

I came to the conclusion that it is dangerous to tell people "just look at the facts, you are hallucinating".

I believe, that paranoia is a warning mechanism that should not be ignored and explained away.

My theory is, that paranoia is your unconscious trying to communicate with you. If you analyze it's content on basis of facts, you will not be able to decipher it's meaning. A delusional paranoid thought is just as non-factual as a dream, and it contains just as much information about yourself.

If you want to get to the bottom of a delusional paranoid thought, you have to analyze it like you would analyze a dream. Look for symbols. What does each element represent in your life? What might a poisoned toothbrush symbolize in your life for example? I want you to do exactly what is frowned upon in epistemics: Project

"But when you project, the information is biased from your own lens!" Yes this is exactly the goal. When you project, you can learn valuable things about yourself through analyzing that projection, since the projection is a part of you. This is also the point of tarot, astrology, etc. and the reason why this kind of esotericism, dreams and hallucinations don't contain facts or "real" information, because it is not the purpose of these things to carry information. The goal was never to learn about planets, it was always to learn about yourself.

To me, it kinda seems like you don't feel comfortable with city life. Being overwhelmed is common for neurodivergent people like HSPs. Maybe you should move to a quieter place with more fresh air or something. Just a suggestion.

What is important to understand is, that paranoia is a symptom. If you just treat the symptom and not the cause, you won't heal.

Yes, it costs money to avoid toxic chemicals these days.

Making poison has been big business for the last 100 years.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
