Should have kept it under the tongue?

Hi, 

I just ate 200 ug of LSD. It was hitting me already when I kept it under the tongue for a few minutes, but I decided to eat it since it is a research chemical (1V-LSD) with blotters that dont dissolve.

I wonder if I am going to trip at all since I ate it :/.

IIRC, 1P-LSD has been shown to be a prodrug of LSD: https://analyticalsciencejournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/dta.2821

I actually happened to watch a talk by the researcher who conducted that study (he himself being one of the subjects).

If Valerie (1V-LSD) happens to also be a prodrug, which would be logically likely, it will be absorbed regardless of sublingual or oral (eating) ROA. If you didn't have a full trip I would be more inclined to believe the blotters had irregular doses — who knows.

I dont get the classic effects from LSD that most people report. The visual effects are very subtle for me. I know its my experience thats different, because i did it with other people and they had the same experience you normally hear about. I thought the first few times as well that it was because i swallowed the blotter after a while, but it was not. So maybe you are like me.

I've had full experiences in the past when I didnt swallow it but that was with my old vendor.

So there are 2 possible causes .

1v-LSD I did not try, but 150 1p-LSD I did try. It gave me a 6 hour very subtile trip. The visuals where very detailed and clear. The trip was very soft. Quite different from what I was used from Double Hoffman's.

If the substance is LSD or is an analog that behaves like it, sublingual is done because you feel the effect a bit sooner than if eaten. Other than that, effects are the same. I don't know of many substance that do work sublingually but not via the digestive system.

Even ignoring bypass of first-pass metabolism and faster absorption via sublingual, LSD in particular is very weak to chlorine (though these 1-acyl substitutes are slightly more resistant), which is far more present in the stomach (from tap water or whatever else) than in the mouth. When dealing with blotters I tend to keep them under different sides of the tongue, occasionally chewing for a bit before finally swallowing after 20-25 minutes. 

The entire 1x-LSD series was created and manufactured by Lizard Labs, since they closed down it's not produced anymore. So the only difference switching a vendor could make is if one stores theirs really poorly, otherwise it comes from the same lab and likely even batch. 
Despite being direct prodrugs of LSD, none of them hold a candle to original, quality LSD-25. 450μg of 1P-LSD is a joke next to 150μg of LSD-25. @Davino can confirm. Figure 7 comparing subjective effects in the study linked by @PsychedelicEagle shows this quite clearly. It's a shame that the vast majority sold is impure and inaccurately dosed, oftentimes by a factor of 2 or more, and as such very few dosages given in trip reports are to be trusted. 

Lastly, LSD tolerance & cross-tolerance is some of the most insidious out there, requiring at minimum 2 weeks to fully reset.

I used to have some strong trips from 1x-variants. But that was probably from the old labs

I once made myself hallucinate when i thought i had been bit by a snake so i started to almost trip out until my brother snapped me out of it and reminded me that hey, this is your mind creating the illusion. Then i sobered up just like that, in an instant. Amazing how the mind can play tricks on you where it actually feels real but its not. 

It really did look like a snake bite and sometimes they are babies and fangs are very small you don't feel it, but sometimes they don't release venom either, and especially sting, this did not but was my first encounter, good times  Good lessons
