What's your problem with Dr. K (HealthyGamerGG)?

He's very pro yoga, (sort of) anti psychedelic. Reminds me of sadhguru in that way. In his recent interview on kundalini etc he takes a very cautious approach : do spiritual practices not psychedelics , only do advanced kundalini techniques under guidance of a guru etc.  All that is great advice for people who don't have a burning desire for awakening . It's what I would say to someone on the street.

I don't know the guy but i would never care what other people think either. I skimmed through his utube, definitely not for me. These days i value less words, more substance, shorter videos, more impact, less talking, more speaking, less thinking, more feeling. These days i am purging more things out then I take in, i realized too much knowledge and stimulation only dilutes and distracts one further from the truth that is. The closer you are to the true nature of being, the more answers come to you naturally, in all areas of life. If you read Tao Te Ching, you may understand better :)

Once you start understanding how nature works, everything else naturally falls into place.

Dr. K had one talk I liked, because it was void of b.s. in my opinion. He had discussed a story of a guru with a student, where the guru would dump out a huge duffel bag of grains of rice. The student eager to learn spirituality had to pick them up with tweezers I think one by one. And when he finished the guru would dump it out again. He was highlighting the importance of being able to deal with frustration and ultimately to do things with no reward or benefits, to train the mind to stop looking for them. That's what I took from it anyway. Just learn to like shit and learn to love shit.

Everything works precisely to the extent that it does, and beyond that it does not. Praying to Jesus helps some people and not others. Self help works for some people and not others. We tend to assume that people are not diligent enough in a practice or set of practices but that's just something we say, a placeholder for the unknown. Personal responsibility is a response to what is, not necessarily an effective solution.

My "problem" with Dr, K is the same with others who teach self-help, it is that self help is not for the viewer. Self help is for the teacher/guru. It is something they do for themselves, but they are not aware of it. Self help NEEDS to work, because this is the explanation of success most preferred by the mind for stage orange people. A stage blue person NEEDS Jesus to be God, because that is their explanation of things. The mind is doing reverse psychology on itself. There has to be an explanation that glorifies the ego the right way. Self help is reinforcing the mind of the person presenting it, they are convincing themselves AND it makes money! What is being sold is the happy ending, that's why focusing on the transformation of the customer is so important.
