Report - Day 01

I started the meditation retreat at 2:30 PM and ended at 6:51 PM. I divided the retreat into 1-hour meditation sessions and 5-minute breaks to go to the bathroom, write insights and stretch.

Process, Events, Insights:

  1. After starting the retreat at 2:30 PM, I had meditated for 30 minutes when I heard a real estate agent knocking on my door. Can you believe it? This rarely happens. I had to get up and she asked me questions about houses for sale in the neighborhood. I answered and returned to meditation.
  2. Shortly after 40 minutes of meditating, I began to feel my entire body tingling. My mouth and eyes were shimmering and I felt extreme tingling throughout my body. My state of consciousness was changing; I felt very present with my body temperature warmed by the tingling sensations.
  3. The pain in my right ankle started to increase and discomfort set in but I still had 15 minutes until the first break to stretch. I continued despite the pain.
  4. Before the break, I had a unique experience. The tingling in my body continued, and suddenly my attention was completely directed to what is called the crown chakra (30cm/60cm above the head). My body began making involuntary movements. I stared at the ceiling of my room with my mouth open while feeling my entire body tingle with extreme presence.
  5. After 5 minutes, I stopped for the first break. I was in a state of extreme calm, tranquility and presence. I drank some water, stretched and set the timer for +1 hour.
  6. After 1 hour and 10 minutes of meditation, I had an insight. I began to realize that the solution to many human problems is to DO NOTHING. If you have patience, thoughts and sensations will dissipate. Trying to fix what is passing is a grave mistake of human beings.
  7. Soon after, I continued meditating and focused again on what is called the crown chakra. I had visions, unique ideas and imaginations.
  8. Approaching two hours of meditation, I started having some hallucinations. I began to see the shape of a turtle on the back of a chair I use. I got excited that a turtle was watching me meditate. (I didn't use drugs.)
  9. I continued meditating, feeling extreme calm, a lot of calm and presence, sensing my entire body.
  10. I took the second break and repeated the same steps as the first break.
  11. I returned to meditate with eyes open, doing the satisfaction meditation. I began to feel like I was inside the objects in my room, sensing their texture, weight, shape, and color. I was literally inside them, feeling them. I started to appreciate the objects in my room, seeing how much they help me do my daily work. I felt gratitude for these objects.
  12. After almost 2 hours and 30 minutes of meditating, I began to feel restless, uncomfortable, wanting to distract myself, tired and wondering how much time was left to meditate.
  13. I took the third break and repeated the same steps as the first break.
  14. I still had 1 hour ahead, feeling tired but very calm and tranquil. I used the last hour to test other types of meditation and affirmations.
  15. I did the José Silva method of mind control meditation. I also did a meditation where I projected love to the entire planet Earth, visualizing the whole planet and projecting love onto it.
  16. I continued with discomfort and pain, tired and wanting to give up. But I finished the meditations and the first day of the retreat.

Damn, interesting observations and insights.

The doing nothing part is too real... everything fades, this is simple but profound.

I never had hallucinations while meditating, interesting. You might have high sensitivity and high spiritual potential:)

Keep us informed!

I've never did meditation for too long. 4 hours/day is a whole new beast.

It is insane how a immediate shift occurs when you put your attention on your crown chakra (30cm/60cm above your head). I hate to use this terminology but it is useful to communicate.

Try to live from this place for a moment. Usually you live behind your eyes/inside your head.

Report - Day 02

I started the meditation retreat at 2:05pm and ended at 6:25pm. I divided the retreat into 1-hour meditation sessions and 5-minute breaks to go to the bathroom, write insights and stretch.

Process, Events, Insights:

  1. I started the meditation completely distracted. Various extremely arousing sexual images were getting in the way. I felt a lot of arousal, and it was hard to control that sensation.
  2. After a few minutes of meditation, I began to feel discomfort, body pains, and even more distracted than before.
  3. I started focusing my attention on the root chakra, feeling its energy, going deeply into it, focusing. This ended up calming me down, keeping me present and focused.
  4. The first insight I had was about questioning the purpose of positive emotions. I see that I try to balance negative and positive emotions, or even use positive emotions as a way to motivate myself to do what I need to do during the day. I questioned whether there's another way to navigate reality without using emotions, just staying calm and present, escaping the dualities and emotional disturbances that balancing polarities creates in the mind.
  5. I imagine there's a way to live intentionally, aligned with calm confidence to navigate reality, transcending the whirlwind of positive and negative emotions.
  6. 5-minute break.
  7. Right after returning from the first break, I began to realize that I've probably been breathing inefficiently my whole life. I have weak breathing. I don't know how to use my diaphragm well. (Task: Discover/Train new breathing techniques)
  8. I continued the meditation process, and a desire to start contemplating arose. I began asking myself "Who am I?" and "What am I?". I had an insight that's basically obvious, but if I really want to live effectively as a human being, I'll have to transcend everything that is human.
  9. I started contemplating "What is value?" "What is a human being?".
  10. To my surprise, I began having small insights about relating to other people. I discovered that if I remove the importance from all the content emerging from the 5 senses of OTHER HUMAN BEINGS, I can effectively relate to them in a calm, peaceful, and effective way.
  11. I also realized how much the game of money, status, and power dominates humanity's mind. I gained a perspective of it as a game, where human beings are fighting for something virtual and fleeting that has finite importance. It's like people starting to attribute extreme value to a restaurant in GTA V, and now that will determine who you are.
  12. 5-minute break.
  13. Entering the third hour of meditation, I started with a counting meditation from 100 to 1, gazing at my forehead with closed eyes, where experts say the third eye is located. I entered a state of deep calm, creativity, and vivid imagination.
  14. After 30 minutes, I started feeling pains, anger, the urge to quit, fatigue. The sexual images came back.
  15. Persisting in the process, I felt happy with myself. I notice I'm handling boredom, monotony, and the mundane much better.
  16. I had another insight. I started thinking about the importance of doing something extremely difficult in the first month of the year and how that can positively impact the rest of the year, opening up massive possibilities for oneself and setting a new perspective on what's possible going forward.
  17. Reaching the end of the third hour of meditation, I felt anxiety. I started thinking about everything I needed to do at the end of the day.
  18. 5-minute break.
  19. Entering the fourth hour of meditation, I started lying down. I lay on my yoga mat for 10 minutes, feeling my entire body and questioning "Who am I?".
  20. After 10 minutes, I sat up again. I began doing affirmations related to money and prosperity.
  21. I had an insight about the importance of developing stamina and concentration to master various areas of life, and how the retreat was helping me in that process. I felt motivated and persisted even though I was tired and wanted to quit.
  22. In the last 40 minutes of meditation, I contemplated my future, potentials, possibilities, and what I could do after finishing the retreat.
  23. End of the second day.
