Its both, its always both. What happens physically always has a spiritual / energetic counterpart, vice/versa.

When I first did mushrooms i didn't physically vomit but i felt a strong urge to shake my body and force my fingers down my throat to cause a gag reflex and i saw in my 3rd eye a large energetic parasite leave my body, and then i felt wonderful and more free shortly after, and my face and cheeks were red again after being pale and sick for a long time because these parasites or entities were blocking the the flow of energy and that's why we get sick.

What i got from it overall was these energies feed on us, drain us, are attracted to trauma, pain, anger and anything of a lower vibration, especially emotional energy, and when energy doesn't flow or is stagnant or blocked they can latch on and contribute to more blockage, and the medicine helped me release the body and blockage where higher energy or charge started to flow again, thus the body was now vibrating much higher frequency, so those parasitic forms or energies could no longer latch on or continue to feed, so they leave / dissolve.

Almost everyone has some form of energy blockage that's keeping you from your greatest potential.
