I played the game for about 10 hours. The gameplay is terrible and I don't care about the characters at all. The story skips over the hook of the story, which would be the boat heist mission. The game lacks fundamental player agency and opportunity for player expression.

It's a self-indulgent game that doesn't do anything to justify itself to the player. Even the story.

Okay, I respect your opinion. You don't have to like it. On the other hand, what the hell? xD

It's a masterpiece - in my view, at least.

In ten hours, you've barely begun the game. You've got to complete the main story first before making a firm assessment of the game.

RDR2 is one of the most overrated games of all time.

It looks a bit dry. Not enough fantasy elements.

Hunting a bear is not very compelling to me.

I no longer understand the appeal of video games once adult.
Even a walk in the forest with a coffee in the morning, smelling the freshness of winter and the undergrowth, is much more realistic and intense.

I was into Minecraft until they ruined it.

Nah, the right game is still great. Just hard to find the right game these days.

It can be enjoyable and take up a lot of your time. But on average it's much less enjoyable than "real" activities.

I think.

I generally prefer older games.

I recently replayed Vexx—a beautiful hidden gem.

Good question.  It's already a complicated game.  Changing things that didn't need changing.  Too much focus on mining.  That's a waste of time.  I'm not a fan of how they changed the caves.  They added things that are unnecessary IMO.  Adding mobs by vote and such.  It just became too bloated.  I was more interested in farms and using it as a tool for personal development.  To much of a need to be all things to all people.

Minecraft is better than ever. You have so much freedom to create your own fun. You can just ignore the stuff you don't like. You are more likely to ruin the experience yourself by setting bad goals and doing uninteresting repetitive things, like grinding EXP.

Did you only play for 10 hours? Again, that's nothing. It's like reading 5 pages of a 300-page book.

And yeah, the beginning is admittedly slow and perhaps a bit tedious.

Cyberpunk gameplay is lousy too. Graphics is ok. Some scenaries are breath taking but some close up shots from a sink or something looks like a game from 1990. But I like the futuristic theme and unfortunately it is the best of the worst.

It is time to become timeless

After 10 hours you'd have read a 300-page book.

If a game isn't good by 10 hours it's not a good game. There are entire games that are more or less 10 hours which I'd consider excellent experiences.

Rockstar takes the realism in games to new levels. Obviously, you won't be making potions or have all kinds of magical abilities, à la Oblivion.

Did you know that the horses' balls shrink in cold weather? That's what made all the difference for me.

Do you watch movies or shows? Video games is another medium - arguably a better one in certain ways.

Imagine a great movie that's interactive and immersive, one that involves you as a player rather than just a passive viewer.

It's largely game-dependent, of course. Sometimes what you're looking for is a simple, chill game, and that's OK too.

RDR2 is unironically the best horse game on the market. You could buy the game just as a horse simulator.

It was an analogy. The game can easily take you about a hundred hours to complete if you play slowly and do the side missions. Ten hours would be just 10% of the game. Would you pay to watch Avatar (a 3h 17m movie) and leave the theater after 20 minutes? xD

But okay, that's fine. What other games would you recommend?
