suffering is a cosmic mistake

26 posts in this topic

I had an encounter with truth. My ego almost vanished at the presence of something great. After this I felt the deepest sense of cosmic betrayal. How can a creator make his creations suffer. Life is precious and has a magnitude of a fury of a thousand suns. Life is so important and so significant that to make someone suffer is an event that is not taken lightly. It is a crime so vast so big that I was completely overwhelmed crying. The crime is so vast that I had to forgive god I didnt want to hurt it like it hurt me because then I would be making the same cosmic mistake.

The hilarious thing is that who'd you think "God" is if not YOU?  And so you are doing it to yourself just like in your nightmares you are the creator of the monsters and snakes who terrify you . So forgive yourself aka God or not ..it doesn't matter .

God is in the process of making the most of himself.  Since he is infinite .

Imagine you are all powerful..what would you create ? Absolutely Everything.

Leo and Alan Watts made this point before and I'm convinced of it .

So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

you don't understand. all beings exist and they are all compartimentalized by states of consciousness. the thing is that there is only one seat in existence and this seat is shared by all beings

I don't understand what are you saying here. And it has nothing to do with what I said . Care to break it down for me a little bit more ?

existence is an infinite drawer of states of consciousness. each identity in each life is comprised by a particular set of unique states of consciousness. This goes deep into the construction of identity, each identity imprints the states of consciousness with its own signature. this is how the universe is a drawer of beings all encoded eternally in the states of consciousness. The state of consciousness is a combination of various factors like form, emotion, sensations, etc

Creator/God/Absolute gave You the greatest Gift, Free Will, the Ability to Respond, but Your unconscious of this, so You blame someone, something else, a separate Entity called God (this is Un Responding, this forgoing Your Ability to Respond and stifling Your Free Will), this make Your Ego feel Good, and then Your Thrive in it in a way but still Suffer..  Dumbest thing ever to do!!

Existence, God/Absolute is just a Potential making machine of sorts, language fails here, so for Us as Humans, You have the capability of "Choosing" which state to be in, how Conscious do You want to Be, that is in Your Capability, that is Free Will.. Use  it, Apply it, and this post won't exist!

I don’t think that is truth though. You’re biased against suffering. God is not.

It’s said no news is good news. Could be translated as no knowing is a good thing.

So, one being aware of their aliveness, will ultimately feel like suffering, which is not a good.

In fact, it’s pretty awful to be a sentient creature with a nervous system. Most people live in complete denial that in knowing you are conscious is not all it’s cracked up to be. I personally struggle with this situation with a kind of silent desperation.

Ecclesiastes 9:5, states that "the dead know nothing" and are not conscious of anything.

If I don't want to suffer how am I responsible for my suffering. god made the decision and became me but I am not god and I didnt choose my suffering. one day I will die and god will return but while Im here I am basically at the mercy of someone else's choice

Your understanding of things is way off. Suffering is not "Happening" to You via an outside force, Your causing it unconsciously, Your reacting (not responding), maybe living more past/future orientated, not NOW awareness where life is, or living via mind and its confusing multitude of identities and ideological addiction...

You are responsible for everything happening within You mostly, unless Your being physically tortured daily, then who is responsible? If You say someone else is via their words, actions towards You, then You are giving Your Power to them, being a Slave essentially, but if You take Your power Back (I am Responsible), then You decided to Suffer or Not Suffer, its that simple, we have this capability, You just have to strive for learning how to do it!

That's the thing: maybe you do want to suffer in some way - but you're not yet conscious of this fact. I'm talking about the mental-emotional kind.

Since you're experiencing it, it's fulfilling a job that you think is necessary (but it is not).

For instance, pay attention to some minor form of suffering you may be currently enduring. What has to happen in your experience for that suffering to exist in the first place? Maybe you're frustrated because a desire is being thwarted - but then, who's the one having the desire that's being thwarted?

This line of questioning suggests that something has to be done first for suffering to arise. It isn't something objectively found or located in existence - so to speak. It is fabricated in one's experience.

Which is to say, if you experience suffering, it means you're engaged in a process that has suffering as its outcome or result.

Suffering is not found in any process or situation, its found within YOU and each of Us as a choice, but ppl are not making the choice Consciously, but most Unconsciously, so that is the determining factor.. Pain is different it comes for everyone, Enlightened or Not, but pain and suffering are two different things!

@Ishanga Do you think if you were kept awake for 48 hours chained into a stress position in a CIA torture camp with no sense of time that you wouldn’t suffer unless you chose to?

Sounds good!

As the result of a process.

Frustration, for example. It seems to begin with you generating a desire of some sort, or perhaps with resistance to having that desire thwarted.

There would be pain of course, but much less pain is experienced if You really know via Experience that You are not the Body or Mind,, I liken it too turning down the volume or standing further away from Noise or loud Sounds/Music.. If you created enough space btwn what is You and what is not You, You now Know what You are, then pain is felt less intensely...

As well, most ppl are not being tortured daily by someone else, at least with Torture You have an excuse to Suffer it, but most ppl are not in this situation, they are causing their own self suffering, reliving past event, fearful of the future events, but neither of those things exist, past or future..  All suffering is via the Body or Mind, if You know You are not those things, suffering ceases to exist in normal situations, and much less pain felt if Your in a war zone or tortured daily...

Cosmic "misalignment". There are no mistakes in intelligent infinity.

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance of separative... unity...

Yes I understand that. 👍

The weight is lifted when I consider there’s just indifferent impersonal “suffering happening” compared to “I am suffering “

Awakening doesn’t necessarily mean suffering ends though. Even an awakened one can experience suffering. Anyone who is conscious of knowing is able to reflect. So although trauma grounds itself deep within the mind/body mechanism,  we can recognise that we can starve it of any more attention. Or, we can trauma bond with our own body. It doesn’t matter, it’s all just happening so there’s no need to repress or avoid, rather just allow and integrate, by surrender and to fully accept that nothing that is happening is ever personal.

To recognise fully that I’m not my thoughts or mind, I am behind, Yes, and knowing the difference certainly lightens the burden when knowing you are conscious of all your projections and therefore the only one responsible for them.
