Trust in Universe/God

At around 01:44:00 and onwards in this video, Leo talks about that deceptive nature of self and the idea of self-deception, saying that: everything you think is there to help you awaken is actually a trick to help you to fall asleep this is why so few people awaken: 

But how about the trust in universe/god? About the fact that universe construct our lives that's best for our spiritual journey? (We don't know what's best for us, we surrender and let God take the course of our lives... Wou-wei etc) Has Leo ever talked about the value of 'Trust'? 

I am obviously talking from a newbie POV. 

Hopefully I don't sound too 'new age' type of person. 

There's frankly no intention of debunking, criticism or any of such thing. 

Grateful of any clarification on this.

With all due respect to Leo ..he has this bug up his arse about" you are not awake unless x y z".."these people don't understand God"..and that kinda stuff which is just not the highest teaching without a shred of a doubt. Because the highest teaching should be inclusive not exclusive. Everything is perfect and pointless just as it is .there is no need to awake or sleep or trust or not trust . Just exist .
